And, a new flag. Red and blue for electronics and a moon, meaning the night. The moon is sometimes associated with dark times, which it definitely is for the humans!

That's interesting. But I typically associate black and blue with electronics.

That day when your dog tells you: ok you do your thing, I'll wait here until it out of your system...

Or: save me from that one (me) they want me to play agaaain.. I'm knackered. (The dog is looking at my spouse)

And? Cats keep pests at bay. Dogs protect property. I prefer cats. They don't bark and they don't require walking outside at 6AM.
I hate walking. Driving car or whatever is okay, but not walking. Walking is too slow and too much energy with little result. Even if I spend more energy on a bike, I prefer to be actually moving or going somewhere with a decent speed. Average speed of walking person - 5km/h. Average speed of casual biker - 20km/h. My average - 35km/h. Top speed - up to 50km/h.
What's the difference? The same as between wasting your time to walk 25km(which is 5 hours) in one direction and total of 10 hours to return or to go to the beach in 1 hour, have a breakfast, return then go somewhere at noon.

Honestly, I don't really have a preference. Dogs are great for people that like walking and are energetic, and cats are great for people that aren't as energetic and love cuddling. (In my opinion, cats are better to cuddle with.) (I have two cats and a dog.)

Sorry, canine lovers, but according to a new study, cat lovers are smarter than you. Researchers examining the differences between “dog people” and “cat people” found that feline fans score higher on intelligence tests and are more introverted, open-minded, and sensitive, LiveScience reports. On the other hand, “dog people” are more outgoing and energetic, and they prefer to follow the rules. The results, presented at this month’s meeting of the Association for Psychological Science, were collected after surveying 600 college students.

I'd say that a combination of that (Luxize said they had no preference, so I'd say they're a combination of cat and dog people) would be better than just one of the options. Personally, I prefer cats because they're less active then dogs (I'm not an athlete myself).

If you want to see what other fun things we have planned, please check out this dispatch here made by the epic culture officer.

Welcome to the TRR April Culture Calendar!

Like in the past, all of these events are open to those in any region and are optional in participation–just come do what you think is fun! If you have any questions, you can telegram me (Grea Rejectopia) or message me on Discord (Hailu#3271). And if you want to get involved in planning fun events like this or have event ideas, check out the LinkCulture Office or message me!

Today's Activity: Weekly Puzzle and Werewolf Wednesday!

We're continuing on with playing Werewolf on Wednesdays in the Discord and launching our next weekly puzzle: a cryptogram.

Cryptograms are basically coded passages where the true letters of the message were replaced by other letters. The goal is to search for patterns and crack which letters represent which so you can see what the real message is. Here is an example below.

The solution is: Style and structure are the essence of a book; great ideas are hogwash.

You'll have until next Wednesday to solve the puzzle and enter for a chance at a free Legendary card!

Special Events:

Earth Day - April 22nd

To celebrate Earth Day 2021, TRR will be going green in our WFE and all of our ROs will be sporting environment-focused flags! Residents are encouraged to decorate their nations similarly and enjoy a series of fun events lined up for the day.

  • For gameside, everyone is encouraged to share their favorite environment fun-facts on the RMB and chat about Earth Day!

  • On LinkDiscord, we'll be hosting a Theme Thursday (instead of Tuesday) focused on Earth Day in addition to a nature-themed Popmaster game. Popmaster is a popular song guessing game so brush up on your nature songs!

TRR's Birthday Bash - April 27th

Did you know The Rejected Realms turns 18 on the 27th!?!

We're going to have ourselves a Birthday Bash to celebrate our regional birthday and all residents are welcome to come party down both on LinkDiscord and gameside:

  • Expect some fun regional history trivia hosted on Discord at 7 PM EDT on the 27th, with Legendardy card rewards

  • A a S1 Crazy girl Trading Card Pull Event from 3 PM EDT to 5 PM EDT (19:00 - 21:00 UTC)

  • Help create our regional Spotify playlist by submitting your songs Linkhere

Events:

RMB Events

RMB Events are for our gameside friends to help generate RMB activity and positive discussion. These events could be anything from asking people to contribute their best fun fact to writing a one-sentence story together on the RMB.

RMB Events offer a lot of variety and will show up consistently throughout the month on both Mondays and Fridays. The staff member running them will announce them accordingly on the RMB and discord when they start one.

Theme Tuesday

On Tuesdays, a theme topic is set and we judge who can fit the theme best!

We have done this for a while on Discord - based on the theme, members of the Discord server change their nicknames and profile pictures to fit. At the end of the day, the Delegate and Officers consult with each other to decide whose picture and name they liked the best out of everyone who participated. Creativity is encouraged! You can join our Discord server here: Linkclick here!

We are also going to run a gameside version this month. You can change some aspect of your nation (flag, motto or pretitle) to fit a theme, and the Delegate and Officers will pick who they think fits the theme best. Make sure to mention my nation on the RMB (Grea Rejectopia) so I can see you are participating!

Winners of the Theme Tuesday get a free random epic trading card sent to a nation of their choice!

Werewolf Wednesdays & Weekly Puzzle Day

On Wednesdays, we'll be trying to encourage playing our beloved Discord game of Werewolf, which is a game of social deduction. Be sure to join our Discord (Linkclick here!) so you can play along and try to save the village!

Wednesdays will also be for the weekly puzzle for gameside. The weekly puzzle will be some kind of crossword, sudoku, cryptogram, etc that will be more of a long-term event for those who get tired of fast-paced events. You will have until the next Wednesday after it's released to complete the puzzle.

Puzzles will be released in this dispatch, and those who complete it and submit their completed work to me (either to Grea Rejectopia or via discord to Hailu#3271) will be put in a raffle for a free Legendary trading card! Don't spoil the answers for anyone else though!

Cryptograms are basically coded passages where the true letters of the message were replaced by other letters. The goal is to search for patterns and crack which letters represent which so you can see what the real message is. Here is an example below.

The solution is: Style and structure are the essence of a book; great ideas are hogwash.

Sudoku is a number puzzle wherein there is a 9x9 grid with 3x3 sub grids where the goal is to fill the digits in using 1 through 9 such that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3×3 subgrids that compose the grid contain all of the digits from 1 to 9. Here is an example below.

Game Days

Game Days are going to be more relaxed days where you'll be invited to play IO type games or other various games depending on the event. Some of these will take place in the Linkdiscord but, if possible, they'll be advertised for our gameside friends to participate!

Hopefully, the game will rotate to be something different every time, however, there are some player favorites that will return regularly!

Some games you might see frequently:

Linkhttps://tetr.io/ has become increasingly popular across NS, offering Tetris competitive play and multiplayer modes where you play against your friends.

It's quite literally Tetris online, with options to try to screw your friends over and prove you're a Tetris master!

Linkhttps://skribbl.io/ is an ever-loved drawing and guessing game where you attempt to determine the word that the player is drawing.

When it's your turn to draw, you will have to choose a word from three options and visualize that word in 80 seconds, alternatively when somebody else is drawing you have to type your guess into the chat to gain points, be quick, the earlier you guess a word the more points you get!

Linkhttp://slither.io/ has come back into popularity after a few years and offers some fun distraction while you try to get the largest score possible!

And it's still a 20 minute drive to the county seat.

Rats also tend to be a bit larger than mice. However since both Mice and Rats are preferred targets for cats, it's a win-win.

I mean, like you said Mice aren't as aggressive as rats. However, they can still indirectly spread disease and prove to be a nuisance as well.

So, cats do a great job when it comes to both mice and rats.

Adult rats are actually quite large, can become almost as large as a cat. And can be a threat for the cat itself.
Cats can deal with them, but not as easy as with mice. I also tend to "adopt" street cats or their offspring.
They know how to actually get the job done, they are not spoiled and they are grateful.
Not to mention that with so many cats on the streets, you have to be quite insane to pay for a cat.

Both. All my cats were either street cats or the offspring of "garden cats", for which I took care. And I don't like people who torment animals. The only reason for which I will kill an animal is either for food or because it threatens my life. I just leave them alone and let them be. Or help them. I am not from those insane people who treat animals...dogs...cats and etc as human beings. But threat them with respect. About utilitarian... While love is love, even with people it is much better if your partner actually helps you and you help her, right?
