I have to go, but here's a compilation of where the story is currently at.

It is amazing how well auto settings work these days for average photos, but they still have their limitations.

Auto settings still have their limitations. For example - the autofocus. Or auto exposure/shutter speed.
For example, minor background light source can fool the software of the camera to use much lower exposure/shutter, which leads to dark and blurry photos. Or wanting to focus on some object, located far away - autofocus is unable to handle such situations. Autofocus and autosettings are mostly for people that don't need anything more advanced and mostly used for plain photos. If you want to capture something like difficult to capture sceneries you have to use manual settings. I also had film camera. I still consider 35mm film as something better than the sensor of any digital camera.

He reaches the cemetery, creeping up on it slowly. As he nears a break in the bushes, a stick snaps under his foot. Wait, no...
Behind him.

He whips around with his knife, and manages to slay it, but then another grabs him from behind!

I also must say that using manual settings on any camera that is not DSLR usually leads to terrible results, because of the lag. Although these days things have improved significantly. No software is better than the human mind and eye.

He writhes around, and manages to stab the Wendigo right through the eye.

"Maybe I shouldn't have come here alone." The hunter thought to himself.

He carried on. He needed to save the members of his village, and he didn't have much time left.

He reached the burial mound without further incident. Time for the hard part. He entered the darkened crypt, prepared for the worst from these horrid monsters.

As he entered, he unslung his bow, and strung a silver arrow dipped in mandrake oil across the string. Time to do so monster killing While he might've been good with a knife, nothing compared to his skill with a bow. 1 shot, 2 shot, 3 shot, 4! All in the space of a dozen seconds. The monsters that survived the initial wounds started writing around as the poison took affect.

Soon enough, they were all dead. Well, whatever passed for dead for these godforsaken creatures. He left the crypt, and continued back to his village. Almost there, he saw a faint glow on the horizon...

The people he saved from the ruined crypt were with him as well. Half of the village had been taken . . . a quarter made it out. The hunter's name was Achak, and he was the tribe's shaman. The only reason there were any survivors was his knowledge of the occult. He, along with the warriors of the tribe, had fought against the Wendigos when they attacked their village, but had suffered heavy losses. The only survivors had been a handful of warriors, and the women and children who hadn't been taken.

"What is that strange glow?" Achak wondered. One word was summoned into his mind. Fire

"Everyone! Run to save the village!"

But they were too late. Their European enemies, who's negligence of the old ways were causing these catastrophes, were already sacking it.

His arrow pierced the heck of one of the pillagers and he was nocking a second one, when the blast of light and sound came from one of their sticks. No! With those, there would be no stopping them. And yet, he had to try.

Being a shaman had some benefits; while he had already spent a lot of his power hunting the Wendigos, he could at the very least make them pay. With vengeance the only thought in his mind, he summoned the power of the forest. The white men were destroyed in an instant of raw power, while the village continued to burn. From there, he fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

*3 Days Later*

Achak awoke from his slumber, in the ruins of one of the buildings. He could hear the hustle and bustle of life from outside the walls, and he got and up, and stepped out the door . . .

It was a village, but not like any he had seen before. Instead of the traditional wood buildings, these were huge, easily the size of the longhouse in his village. He saw one building, with a main box-like part, but at the front, something that looked like a giant spear, with a cross on it. He turned around, and saw huge... things in the water, like the canoes in his village, but a hundred times bigger, and with huge white things on top of more spears. He heard whispering around him...

Soon a crowd formed around the disheveled shaman. The bright lights of this unfamiliar place overwhelmed him, and... what were they wearing?
In Achak's mind, he was not the insane one.
By this time, the crowd had grown and were edging closer to him. Overwhelmed, Achak notched an arrow, and the crowd edged back, panicked. Sensing their hesitation, he ran to the dock's housing the unfamiliar things. Achak climbed up onto one of the large, inanimate, white beasts in the water, having lost the crowd.

Where the hell was he?

A shot rang out, and the wood near him splintered. One of the crowd tried to talk to him, but it was an alien language to him. He looked to the right and saw a full legion of the men with thunder sticks running towards him, there had to have been at least twenty. He focused, concentrating on his powers...

I mean, I get that a lot of people hate Fascism for the role it supports in spurning hatred. But I think that's just silly to banject a roleplaying person for the ideology of their fictional country just because you get offended. Now, if you start spouting about genocide and how you plan to uproot the world order in place of your own is when we have to start issues. But as long as it's purely roleplay I don't see the problem.

Also you were banned from the Pacific and The East Pacific, which isn't surprising. They banject anybody :P

Yeah... but what’s done is done. I cannot go back. I’ve been accused of being a Nazi multiple times... I mean, jeez, I was just trying out something. I dislike Nazis as much as any man! Never mind.
