Anyone want some popcorn? I have plenty!

OI! DID YOU PAY FOR THAT POPCORN FROM THE BAR?!?!?

It's corn popped.

Ryno wrote:So you don't understand forever means a really long time. lol k. The oldest nation I have active right now was made at some point during 2005. Do you want me to look up which month too? Since it's not specific.
Are you bb or something? I didn't call you an Outlander. I said "Have fun in your region" because I was being nice. It has nothing to do with any status in TRR. You seem insecure when you throw that out there randomly.

I hardly consider a nation from 2005 as something in the game "forever". "Forever" is something one may use to describe being a part of the game before Francos Spain took hold of The Pacific and created the NPO ... or someone in the Game before The Pacific was created. 2005 (while certainly older than many playing today) barely qualifies one for having survived the Great Bight Battles (TNP), the Anti-marsupial Movements of the NTO (TWP), the Pixiedance Wars (TNP), the collapse of the ADN, the Order of the Gryphons, or the Desolation of Pierconium (TP) [By the way, does Pierconium STILL hold the Banject record or did Durk finally take the title?].

And no ... TAO is not The BB; TAO is TAO (and anyone playing since 2005 -- especially anyone playing in a Feeder or Sinker -- should know TAO. In 2005, TAO was ubiquitous.)

I appreciate your desire to be nice. Thank you. As for being "insecure", anyone knowing TAO knows that has never been a problem. I was simply saying you cannot assume what region an older player may be from since that player may be from many simultaneously.

You only exist in the RR to promote obi, Outlander. I did forget that you get triggered by the word Outlander. I believe I called you that 1-2 years ago and you flipped out. Don't worry it's all in good fun. (See what I did? lol)
You like a lot of people take my original posts the wrong way. I asked a simple question. Got a triggered response. If you were all fun and games I wouldn't have.
I remember you liking a bb post where he said I wasn't a legit member of the RR. Unless you're telling me you did that just because of the keg?
Although I will say again that I don't really dislike anyone whom I have been replying to, but with your standard it seems you're just as guilty. You know fanning the flames. How very nice of you.
Yeah, I know you don't like it when I call bs on stuff. It's "mean" and not nice.

Yes,its what a founder of a region does?
Outlander. I did forget that you get triggered by the word Outlander
No,just find it funny a guy/gal has been in NS less than I,call someone a outlander.

If telling a noob to check himself,is " Flipping out." I guess I flipped out, The BB has name a good name in this game,I shall truck no one messing with the brand man, heheh and the BB *IS* a brand well known all over NS.

Ryno, BrightonBurg, I'd really appreciate it if y'all took this argument elsewhere. You don't want me to start suppressing, do you? This is getting toxic and is potentially scaring people away.

I am just using forever to mean a long time. You don't agree. Cool.

I have seen the username TAO before. Nationstates is huge and I've met a ton of players on here. I don't know a ton about you sorry.

Also I never assumed which region you were from so I don't get where you got that from. How about have fun anywhere you are on nationstates?

Yeah, which means you're from OBI. That means you're an Outlander. It's fine that you care about the region you founded more.

Length of time means nothing. If I went to obi and posted there I would be an Outlander. Simple.

Have fun in obi. (and where ever else.)

Pretty sure I must have digested someone called Shirley at some point... But yeah, I guess what I do couldn't really be called drinking in any case.

804 million population... and that banner... Are you Church of Satan's sockpuppet or something?

Local territories wrote:Is popcorn bread?

Cornbread is a thing. I don't believe you can make popcorn out of it though... but if you could, bread would be popcorn... or at least one type would.

So.. is cornbread cake?

Since we still don't have an edit option and nobody had the decency to post after me in the past half hour... AND I have something pressing to ponder out loud in the hopes of gathering some small bit of reactive information in response...

... I've FINALLY been able to get my sockpuppet nation on the World Assembly... and... I figured out a few things:

#1. I can't endorse my own nation since only WA nations seem able to endorse each other. Hadn't realised that until now.
#2. Nobody else can endorse the nation either since it is isolated in a cut-off region with only my OTHER sock-puppet nation for company. Necessary security measures up to this point.
#3. I believe I've managed to strip the WA Delegate position in my isolated region of any sort of actual power, which should prevent any opportunistic raiding or anything as heinous as democracy. As such I might consider accepting other peoples' sock puppet nations in if they want to keep them safe. Only sock-puppets / alts though. And only upon taking an oath that no deviant actions will be taken during special NS events (the entire reason I isolated my sock-puppets in the first place).
#4. The World Assembly doesn't seem to constantly have things happening as I initially assumed. In fact so far as I can tell it seems to do very little at all.
#5. There was a thing with a lot of text. It reads like legalese... which is to say it was utterly incomprehensible. Nations apparently voted on it at some point. I'm not sure if it actually has any effect or if it is just roleplay-posturing or whatever... I believe if I ever bother voting on things, I'll just vote to reject everything written in an overly pretentious manner.
#6. I can't help but feel even more strongly that the very existence of the World Assembly is completely asinine on every level. It is like an overhyped label that does nothing... or at least does nothing if you aren't gallivanting about playing aggressive democratic takeover or whatever like a bunch of complete losers.

But hey... now I have a WA Nation for basically no reason whatsoever... besides probably proving that democracy is futile.

Oh. Sorry. Your post wasn't there when I started writing my last one. Redact the bit about the past half hour. It turned into about 50 minutes anyway.

And sure... cornbread can identify as cake... if it is transbaked.

Thinking about it sensibly... "raiding" sounds like an overly grandiose name for something that is actually really pathetic in practice. Like from the name alone you'd figure it was like some huge Mad Max style convoy of heavily armed bandits storming in, blowing sh!t up, taking it by force... but no... it is going in with your friends and having a rigged democratic vote.
So. Damned. Stupid.
Like could you get any more "white-collar crime" than that?

Isn't it just more of the same? More of the anime-populised "We can do it if we work together!" routine? More of the "I have a bigger mob of limp-wristed democratards than you" crap?

Maybe if NationStates was actually structured in a way such that our stats actually MEANT something... If nations with bigger Defense Forces and Weaponisation were actually better at warfare than pacifist nations... If I could actually sell weapons to other nations... it'd be a lot cooler.

As it stands there is basically no real interaction between nations in a technical sense outside the barely used challenge system and the occasional site-wide events.

Little Blobs need to learn how to use their imagination! NS is pretty much a roleplay site.

An actual war system would be cool too though!

Miss Hungary wrote:Little Blobs need to learn how to use their imagination! NS is pretty much a roleplay site.
An actual war system would be cool too though!

Not really the type of roleplay I'm used to personally engaging in. I'm more AD&D... and they're more Phoenix Wright: Kangaroo Court.

Honestly though, more than a real war system... I'd just like to actually be able to sell stuff to other nations, stupid as that sounds. Though honestly, playing Capitalist is less my sort of thing than playing Mad Scientist.

Anyway... do you want to store any sock-puppet nations in my special region for sock-puppets? I'm considering making another one to add to the collection... to see whether I can get the Death-and-Freedom thing right this time (rather than ending up as Master of Space-Lasers as I am now). My Death Rate has dropped so low it doesn't even show up on the results any more until I expand it (i.e. I'm not even in the top 10% any more)... and once upon a time I brushed the top 1%.
