Well it was a 'special military operation' akshually! But ok, my troops are withdrawing from the chancellery complex, but I will leave my dignitaries there, after all, who will manage the department of Culture without me?

Aurelius fails again in his attempt to take God's Landing, with the Black Guard putting up their valiant defense in the fight for the people. However, their fervent resistance against oppression is tainted with terrible news. With Triaba, the illegitimate leader of an all-encompassing separatist of the ancient Wassouvia dynasty officially allying himself with Solus Aurelius. And calling on all Wassouvians who live in Croyna to fight for the royal house as he invades the free lands of the East.

So far, few have heeded the call, but there have been rumors of several refugee villages attacking authorities carrying the banner of the Wassouvian dynasty.

In rage at outsiders' interference, the marshal made a public announcement accusing Solus of summoning a foreign army to invade the motherland, demanding Wassouvia to speak out before this Wassouvian army marching into Croynan lands and it's involvement in it.

So far, no response has been given, but many protesters huddled in front of the Wassouvian Embassy in God's Landing with anti-Wassouvian slogans and burning Wassouvian flags.

Tensions soar as the war in Croyna rages on. With rumors of a mutiny in the south with Democratic supporters. But they refused to coordinate with the Black Guard for no reason.

In a press conference, President Jaime Feliz Bule responded to the serious accusations made by the Croynan News Outlet, 'The Truth of the People'. In the conference he said the following: "Wassouvia is not invading Croyna. Saying that is ridiculous. What is truly happening is that Triaba Wassouse, the son of the last Ksha of Wassouvia, decided to "fight" in the Croynan Civil War and he invited Wassouvians to come fight along side him. Triaba Wassouse has been classified as an agent of chaos and he is in no way associated with the government of the Democratic Republic of Wassouvia".

In addition to this, the President told the press that Wassouvian intel had discovered that 'The Truth of the People' is a News Outlet run by the Black Guard, a rebelious group that is trying to get control over Croyna. Finally, before the conference ended, the President said that even though he believes in some of the Black Guard's values, he "must warn them that if they want to have good relations with Wassouvia, they must be more careful about spreading misinformation".

This is a hard announcement for me to write, but please read it to the end.

I have decided to close down the Phoenix Imperium, effective immediately. It has become clear in recent weeks that I am no longer able to sustain the project, either in terms of energy and contribution or in terms of financials.

While I had high hopes for Imperia from the beginning, the energy I had was greatly sapped by a series of medical and other crises, notably my car accident in November 2022 and a series of emotional abuse incidents I have suffered at the hands of my family. I was therefore unable to contribute nearly as much of my energy to Imperia as I would have liked.

In turn, the community suffered. Activity stagnated. I'd experience brief surges of energy and try to start something new, but interest would be limited and I'd soon end up suffering either another health scare or another incident of abuse.

It is not fair to any of you that Imperia continue to linger in this increasingly inactive state, devoid of active personnel, including me, who you should be able to expect more activity from.

I do not see this inability abating in the foreseeable future, therefore, I am deciding that this shall also be **my retirement from NationStates**. I'll have been taking part in this game for seventeen years as of Wednesday, and that's a long time to sink into any activity. I also feel that the world of NationStates no longer fits my style of leadership, and that any further projects I opt to set up would not be successful owing to a lack of people I can count on as a steady "core group" as well as the proliferation of Frontier regions massively diluting recruitment potential.

For those of you who want to keep in touch, feel free to add me to your friends list. If you want to stay up on my activities outside NationStates, DM me and I'll invite you to my Discord community server.

Again, I apologize for the suddenness and the gravity of this announcement, but this is a decision I feel will be best for all involved. It allows you to seek out new and more active regions, and will allow me to focus on enduring the poor situation in which I find myself.
