Month 1, Day 1.
Prime Minster Of Nyumbani Robert, was hard pressed, the Northern district had fallen in 31 days, in a month Nyumbani standing army had been smashed aside. Despite Kingdom equipment, despite all the reforms they had been smashed aside in a tidal wave of Haru attack. The media had found out about Kifo disaster just after he did, now the press was demanding General Susan head... mostly metaphorical, mostly.

The opposition was split, some were blaming the very reforms and an over reliance on foreign equipment. Others said that the disaster showed they weren't ready for a conflict and should sue for peace. An meeting was called, General Nubert of The British force, General Rosen Guard, and minster of the treasury Richard.
Richard wanted the war to end, already the forgein investors were leaving fearing a communist take over and there assets being seized. Rosen Guard suggested on Susan behalf that a counter attack was posible with the aid of British forces...
"No" Said Nubert flatly. "We arent in the postion too. Not untill Nyumbani forces are reorgainzed and reinforced."
"Then its cleaaaaar, the war is lost!" Sputter out Richard "We should give them the Northern district and..."
Nubert glared at the man and despite being slightly taller then the aged general the Treasury splutter to a stop. "No" Nubert said once again now staring at Richard.
Robert looking concerned asked "How can we win then?"
Rosen Guard nodded "Simple, in there attacks they have expended much of there prime material, at Kifo only we must have destroyed entire regiments of enemy motorized infantry that they can't replace with domestic production. With the blockade unbroken their lack of industrial might will ensure we win a war of attrition."
Nubert had to suppress a smile. Rubert then spoke "So how do we keep in the fight, our morale is rock bottom."
"Well," Said Richard "Firing that disaster of a General..."
Nubert simply said "No. Despite her flaws, her popularity and skill to take such a weak will force and make it hold for as long as she has is remarkable."
Silence fell over the meeting. Richard "What would you suggest General Nubert?"
Nubert turned to the map and said "We hold till we can train new regiments up."
Richard "What ever you need... we will do it"
Nubert nodded.

Nubert now given the highest command in the Nyumbani region he began to plan. Forces would reorganized, shattered regiments combined, and with the help of Susan and Rosen, Nubert would begin to draw defense lines anchoring them on his far more mobile and armored British forces. For the first week they were seemingly blessed as Haru remained north of the river. By the middle of the week the Haru began to amass for an attack it was then that 152 mm shells of the new 1st Nyumbani battery (who were using mostly Surplus British guns) broke it up with a spoiling bombardment. With that halting an fording attempts for the rest of week.

Haru high command was hard pressed, they knew Nyumbani call for peace was growing, one more break was all they thought they need. So when there probing attempt was broken up with artillery they knew they need to do more planning. As conscripts were called up to the front they readied themselves for a wider scale attack.
