Everyone!

Tomorrow we'll be kicking off the new season of "Meet the RMB"!

Our first guest will be our Minister of Culture Prydania, at 10PM EDT.

Meet the RMB - Season 3

Produced by the Gameside Advocates of The North Pacific

What is this?

After the success of the last two seasons, the ask-me-anything (AMA) series hosted on the Regional Message Board (RMB) will resume once again, this time with a few new faces. This series is meant to allow the nations of The North Pacific to get to know their government officials more intimately. Each week, one government official will spend an hour answering any questions that are asked of them on the RMB.

What kind of questions can I ask?

You can ask anything as long as it appropriate for the RMB! NationStates site rules still apply.

How do I ask a question?

Simply head on over to the RMB during the AMA time slot, and lodge a message with your question. Please make sure to mention the government official in your message so it doesn't get missed.

When does Meet the RMB take place?

Meet the RMB is scheduled to take place every Saturday (preferably) for the remainder of the term. The exact times may vary depending on the government official's availability. Please keep an eye on this dispatch, as it will be updated frequently.

Who will be featured in this series?

This series will be kicked off with AMAs featuring the Delegate and their Cabinet. We hope to expand this event to include the Vice Delegate, Speaker, Attorney General, Court Justices, and other government officials in the near future.

What's the current schedule?

450,000 soldiers pummeled through into the Aylwaterian country, alongside the shield of a bulky air force that fended the skies. An additional, 1,000 tanks guided the assault straight into New Danubia; whilst another portion of the task force drove straight through southern, North Torsten. Western Les Montagnes, foresaw struggle; however, the southern bits fell within a week. And as a whole, the Roctanian swift invasion of Aylwater was here. War had come to Roctania, and Scarlet would all but return the favor.
———————————————————————

(IC) One week ago...

“To what pleasure do I your visit?” purred the Lunghanian diplomat.

“I have come on terms of war, so you can keep it in your pants,” Scarlet gave a sarcastic grin and took her seat on the chair farthest from the man. “Shall we begin?”

“Erm... yes, and I believe we can come to terms with this,” the man exclaimed, beaming proudly, “I drafted up a few documents to detail the conditions of our treaty, including the ability to use Lunghanian land as a transportable land of which to utilize against your enemy, Aylwater.”

“Glamorous! I do like a good vengeance story,” Scarlet hugged the man, not before sneaking a tracker into his jacket as she turned to exit the all-to-stuffy office building.

“Scarlet, erm... Queen?” the man reached out to grab Scarlet’s hand.

“Yes?” Scarlet swatted his hand away.

“Sorry. I was just curious, what are you planning for the Aylwaterians?”

“That’s all part of the surprise dearest,” Scarlet stifled a laugh. And as she resumed exiting into the hallway, the Lunghanian man could’ve sworn he saw a feral and fiery glint in her eyes.
———————————————————————

(IC) One week in the future... [Present Day]

They scorched the land without care, so it was swallowed into a fiery abyss. Sparks engulfed the border and the Roctanian soldiers steamrolled the unprotected areas. Nonetheless, Aylwaterian troops eventually slowed the wrecking ball of the Roctanian military, but the damage had been dealt. Within less than a week, Roctania had made their revenge, it was now a matter of when the Aylwaterian troops would give in, and when would the Hong kong empire start deploying more troops. Until then, the war raged on, but victory was in striking distance.

Just one option. We had to stop this. We just had to. Let's get it over with. All troops in Roctania were to be taken back. 105,000 troops were sent to simply stop the offense. They were wearing gas masks, with a surplus of supplies. But why? Chemicals. One word:and that was chemicals. Chemicals like mustard gas, tabun, sarin, soman, and Zyklon B. Were being thrown into enemy lines. Civilians were evacuated for sure,we don't want civilians dying.

OOC:I'm sorry that I'm too lazy. I'm going thorugh some things and I really just want this to end.

Welcome to The North Pacific!

Welcome to The North Pacific (TNP)! You might be a new nation to the game or in TNP, and you don't really know what is going on or where to start. Or you may be an experienced member but have several questions regarding some of the activities going on. Whatever the case, we have put together this handbook that you can use to familiarize yourself with the game and TNP, and to make the most out of your time in NationStates (NS).

The handbook has a number of different sections. The index below will help you navigate them. If you have any questions not answered in this handbook, feel free to send a telegram to Delegate Kaschovia, Minister of Home Affairs Lionsroar, or any of the Gameside Advocates and Mentors. They will be glad to help! Additionally, we are always looking to improve this handbook, so let us now if you think something should be added or changed.

Onboarding Checklist

This section covers the very first items you should check off as a newcomer to the game and TNP.

  • Why you should be in TNP: Selecting a region for your nation is one of the most important decisions you will make in the game. We hope you will make TNP your home, and this link explains why. If you have already decided to stay here, that's great!

  • Join the regional forum: The forum is where most government and roleplay activities take place. Registering an account is very easy. You should get yourself an account so that you can check out what's going on and join in on the fun.

Ways to Get Involved

Now that you have cleared the basics, you must be looking for things to do. Below are some of the opportunities TNP offers.

  • Get involved in the government: There are many ways to get involved in the government straight away after joining TNP. You can write the regional laws in the Regional Assembly. You can take part in the day-to-day running of the region in the Executive Staff. Or, you can protect TNP at home and abroad in the North Pacific Army.

  • Get involved in the World Assembly: Joining the World Assembly (WA) is one of the best ways to empower your nation, especially in TNP. Thanks to our WA Development Program, as a WA member you can determine international laws, have one of the highest endorsement counts in the entire game, and even win awards!

  • Get involved in RolePlay: We have not one, but two vibrant RolePlay (RP) universes, Eras and Strangereal. Each comes with its own map, chronology, and physics laws. If you commit to being active in RP, you can claim a spot in either universe's map, and join others in weaving stories about your nation and its role in the world.

  • Get involved in trading cards: Our regional cards guild provides many resources you can take advantage of to increase the value of your deck, including several offerings of free cards. As a member of the guild, you can also participate in many other cards-related activities, including themed collections, pull events, and regular publications.

British Bayonet wrote:

A deadly silence had swept over the pilots as their aircraft drew nearer and nearer to the enemy, knowing that they needed to sink this force to ensure that no harm would come to the colony, their home. As the 36 aircraft carried on their journey, the aircraft moving through the sky ahead of the Brittanian fleet tasked to intercept the navy, the silence was broken when over their radio's information was relayed to them from the navy, "tsk... tsk.. Attention all pilots tsk..." the voice began, cracking through the radio "this is Captain Lampton tsk...., head of the interception force tsk.... we have recieved furthur information of the make up of the enemy fleet from our reconnaissance tsk... there are 7 vessels tsk... 2 we believe to be transport ships whilst the rest are combat ships tsk... precede with caution and engage at will tsk... the fleet will be right behind you tsk... good luck, All Hail Brittania!" the mesage finished "All Hail Brittania" the pilots all responded back in unison. With the confirmation of the enemy fleet the spirits of the pilots were bolstered.

Thomas Krason was a pilot of one of the fighters, his hand nervously controlled his aircraft to keep him in formation with the rest. He was nervous, anyone would be able to tell from his breathing, and the message over the radio, although it had raised his spirits it hadn't calmed him completely. The aircraft flew for a while longer, themselves in a state of constant observation as to when they would engage the enemy. Then as if a sudden new life had entered the pilots the radios became alive with orders "READY UP LADS, we got our targets. Krason, Lemmy, Pres, Ferg, Jason and me will aim for the lead vessel, the others are in groups of 6 aswell and will target separate vessels. Now, make sure you aim properly! I want to sink these fools before the navy can." "Roger Sir" Krason replied. His heartbeat began to beat inside his head, he tried to calm his breathing as best he could.
"Just aim and fire, aim and fire, like you learnt in training, just aim and fire the anti-ship missiles like the rest of the pilots and the enemy will be at the bottom of the sea in no time. Then you can go home, yeah that sound good." he thought to himself, calming his nerves as he prepared to launch the attack.

"30 seconds then fire, make sure you got your target right!" bellowed the voice over the radio.

"Don't worry, I do, and i plan to sink them!" He responded with the same energy. His hand was eager to fire, holding it the position made time feel as if it had stopped as he counted down the seconds. Then when the time came he fired his missiles and moved with the rest of the pilots.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The navy was moving behind the airforce, their large size carry their much larger arsenals as they moved towards the enemy. Orders were calmly relayed across the 14 ships as information on the enemies position was reported in from the numerous submarines that were patrolling the Ceres Ocean. The Navy had the task of intercepting the fleet, although they felt the airforce may well sink it before they even get near. Captain Lampton looked out at the vast ocean, wondering how the attack by the airforce was going, the navy was still 10 minutes out of range to reinforce the aircraft in their attack but it meant any remaining vessels left after would be easily swept up by the firepower this force had.
Lampton walked back from the window and sat down at his chair, "Have the submarines keep notice for us if any further enemy vessels start to approach, i want to be well prepared if after we sink thei s force we must face another." "Yes Sir" the staff responded. "Sir, we have conformation from the airforce that the enemy force consists of 2 large transport ships and 5 more large ships which are to big to be destroyers" "Give the information to the rest of the fleet and tell them to prepare anti-ship missiles for firing, we will be the ones to strike first when we get into range." Lampton explained to hsi crew, his confidence in victory showing through his words.

The Navy sailed on, getting closer and closer to the enemy fleet, soon to begin its engagement.

There is none...

It has been six hours after the death of Davirdria, the Far-Right Tyronian Politican. In that time, the Socialist Party has already been gaining support after they promised to avenge Davirdria and whilst keepijg it's economic ideologies, promises to lean slightly right with their political views. Just in six hours, the party has gained 8% more popularity, increasing the popularity Tyronian People's Working Party to 18%. The party before the Socialists is the current party, the Confederationists, as they are known, who lead with 82%, though their popularity is decreasing by the minute.

Many suspect that if The Tyronian People's Working Party gain more than 51% popularity, they will stage a coup d'ιtat against the current Democratic Government and install their own Socialist Dictatorship, though this is unconfirmed, though likely. The Tyronian People's Working Party claim that if they do gain power through democracy, they will not change Lanorth's political ties with any organisations or any nations. So they are to remain in OSEAN and keep all diplomatic ties with nations and the ones who have had their ties cut in their rightful place inside Lanorth. Or so they say. The Tyronian Socialists don't always tell the truth. More updates coming soon.
