It was a cold evening in the Southern Vloranian hillside village, nearly forty kilometers from the capital. Just outside the homely village stood an ominous structure, the Compound, as it was called by the locals. Stories were told of evil spirits that haunted the area around the location of where it was built. The Compounds current occupant however wasn’t any spirit; it was the Sultan in hiding. After a series of bomb threats were sent to his palace in the Capital, and his overseas castles out of reach, the Compound was supposedly the safest location for him to hide. He sat in his office, just finished with a meeting with his generals, when a silent, Yakima Yahto, leading 150 fellow Lacoy revolutionaries, closed in on the Compound. Silently they crept, inching towards the guarded building. They traveled through the forest on horseback, but in order to avoid surveillance they traveled the last seventeen kilometers on foot. They traveled light, with small food provisions, rifles, and only a few launchers. The plan for the attack was to surround the Compound, and then a small strike force would scale the wall, sneak in, and place a few 50 kg bombs, which would go off at the hit of a button once the squad escaped. The plan commenced at sundown, and the elite team led by Yahto said their prayers, and snuck into the facility. The majority of the Sultan’s personal guards were required to go to frontlines, because of the lack of troops. Plus to keep the Compound a secret, only a small crew of guards could be deployed to protect the Sultan and the secret. Yahto and six other men quietly made their way into Compound, and the bombs were placed. However the exit wasn’t so lucky. After placing the bombs, one member of the crew, Tony “Trapper” Toldieri, made his way to one of the exits when he was spotted by one of the Sultan’s maidens. Mistaking her for a guard (due to the darkness) he fired, and their stealth was compromised. The squad ran out of the building, and Yahto ordered for a rocket-propelled grenade to be launched at the wall, in order to blow a hole they could escape from. Guards attempted to intercept them, and shots more shots were fired. Trapper, Yahto, and one other escaped, but the other four died. The bombs were detonated, and the Sultan tried to escape in an armored car, but it was stopped by the rest of the troops, and he was arrested, and it was there in the forest that he surrendered.

Because of the capture of the Sultan, the Sultan of the City of Jumatobod, Saban Ibn Atanur Musa, has assumed the role of Sultan of Vlorania, and has been declared the new Caliph. However, rioting across Jumatobod and other cities across the nation have plagued the Caliphate, and the government has resulted to issuing gas masks and experimental weaponized chemicals gas on both violent protesters and enemy troops. Phosgene has begun being used by troops against Lacoy lake civilization, and less dangerous gases on rioters.

Assaulting the Sultans Palace

The allied forces in Verusa had destroyed the Sultans Army, and the Sultan himself had surrendered. However, the capital city still had elements of enemy forces. To neutralize them fully, and to gain a bit of glory, the Vapian elements in Lacoy lake civilization had been ordersd to bomb the capital along with the Lacoy air force.

Under the orders of Il Duce, the bomber unit of 16 Bombers flew uninterrupted by anti air. After a short flight across the land, the capital was in sight. The order was given.

The bombers opened their hatches, and one by one bombs flew down, falling for what felt like a year before reaching the ground.
