Some time later, Gembul shuffled quietly into the inn. A few other patrons had arrived as since Diviciacus had made his appearance, but the evening activity was not yet in full swing, something which Gembul was silently rather grateful for.

Spying Diviciacus resting at a table not far from a corner of the room, Gembul nodded in his direction and made his way over, hefting himself upward into a vacant chair, which was fortunately tall enough to where his head was comfortably above the surface of the table.

"So, find any leads on our beast? Afraid I mostly just heard rumors about the goings on around town, maybe something going on to the East but nothing I'd put gold on just yet. Figured a smaller crowd like here might make it easier to sit and talk to someone directly."

He met eyes with the orcish barman staring at him from across the room.

"He looks like a piece of work..." he chuckled, moreso to help himself relax after the recent stresses of the day.

Breaking eye contact, he turned back to Diviciacus.

"Wonder where Acythe got off to? Ah well, I'm sure we'll meet up with them before nightfall. In the meantime...", he stood on the chair to peer into the mug on the table, "You need a new drink, and I need one for myself, I reckon..."

A moment later, Gembul returned with a pair of mugs and passed some time exchanging information and stories with Diviciacus while awaiting the appearance of the third of their trio.

Acythe

Thanelly stepped into the inn and looked around, stretching and windmilling one of her arms briefly while she searched for the people she'd been following. Soon enough she caught sight of one of the ones who fit the description that she'd been given by the spirits and approached, her staff tapping on the ground with every step -A vanity item really, she had no need for a staff for magic or walking but it certainly helped to grant her some gravitas.

Without waiting for herself to be invited to do so, she took a seat in the third chair at the table and looked at the other two there, seeming profoundly tired, "Sorry I'm late. You'd be amazed how many spirits like to pull pranks. Last time I trust the foxy ones."

Venico, Acythe, and Deep Gembuldihr

Acythe took a break from their flute playing in the corner of the Whistling Hound's bar area, surveying the scene. There were a few more people who have entered the place now, and very quickly they spotted Gembul. It wasn't hard to spot the dwarf, they hardly are ever difficult to lose track of despite their diminutive size. They snuck up to the group quietly, taking residence at the fourth chair without a word.

"The beast appears to feed at night. Plenty of townsfolk seem to report their guards going missing, screams in the night... especially concentrated on the northeastern border of town." Acythe's eyes seem to latch onto the necromancer who seemed to have joined the table. They don't quite recognize Thanelly, but the nagging feeling inside told them that they probably crossed paths before.

"I do not believe we have been aquainted."

Thanelly turns to the side to look at Acythe from her seat at the table, appraising him keenly, "Thanelly, Shepherd of Spirits." she said simply by way of introduction, "Beast hunting are we? Not exactly my forte but I suppose I'll try my best to contribute."

Visoraxus sneaked around in the shadows and looked around to see if anyone else was there. Nobody was.

"Dead chat."

Gembul shuffles by in the background holding a lantern filled with fireflies. He scans the darkness, muttering something about a wrong turn, before turning a bend and disappearing once more.

Good evening

Hello!

Knew someone who associated with the old natives here long ago. Didn't last long though.
