The Senatorial Representation Act is now up for public referendum.

Time for yet another long overdue update (sorry again):

- I would like to announce my nomination of Llorens as Justice of the Supreme Court. They have shown their continued dedication to our region and have displayed great interest in reviewing legislation, and as such I feel they would be the best pick to serve out these last few weeks.

- I would like to announce my appointment of Cedoria as Minister of Foreign Affairs. This appointment, in hindsight, should have been made far earlier, but increased interactions with other regions are always welcome. Cedoria has shown their ability to effectively communicate ideas and represent our region in the past, making them a great candidate for the position.

- In terms of the General Assembly, after the Senatorial Representation Act there are at least two Act left to be reviewed. If you have any Acts to submit, please post them now!

- As many of you may know, the last few months have been quite busy for me, busier than I expected and than I may be able to handle come next term. Because of this, I will not be seeking reelection in the upcoming elections. Though I may run for Senator or even Prime Minister, I feel that the responsibility of serving as Secretary of this region is best in the hands of a more capable and focused individual.

- Speaking of elections, nominations for elected positions (Secretary, Prime Minister, and Senators) will be opened on the 1st of March! If you are thinking about running, start planning now, especially for the Secretary-PM joint ticket.

Want no technology...

With likely less than two days until the poll commences on my nomination to the position of Justice, I'd just like to write a short statement on why I believe you should vote YES on it.

I have been an active member of our community for nearly 2 years, and have had a wealth of experience in government during this time as a Justice (two terms), Prime Minister (one term), and Secretary (two terms). In addition, I have written a vast amount of our regional law (e.g. the legislative process, separation of the judiciary and legislature), so I have a fairly comprehensive understanding of what it's about. With this, I believe that I hold the necessary credentials to effectively uphold our law as a member of the Supreme Court.

In my capacity as appointed Fpreign Minister, I announce that I will NOT be making changes to our embassy policy at this time. My reasoning being simple, it is late enough in our term of office that I would not feel it right to make such a unilateral alteration so close to the elections. I leave it to election candidates to debate or discuss any changes they feel should occur.

I will however, be conducting a thorough review of existing regional embassies, to ensure they meet existing embassy policy requirements, and removing any who do not. I will keep you updated and informed of any developments during this process.

Our highest regional population ever recorded was 163 on 1 September 2017. Comrade Kavagrad's done an excellent job as Minister of Recruitment and has gotten us to within a few of that! I'm putting my money on the record being broken by the end of the month. :P
