I object, L.R. 041 (I think) requires the debate to occur, which means that it can not be tabled. For this reason, it is not needed

In private discussions with Marv, I've created an amendment that fixes my issues and I hope fixes what Marv is concerned with. I am hereby UCing it.

Hereby amends the following to L.R. 041:

A petition that provides either Chamber of Congress with something to debate and vote on must receive at least 10 signatures within the first 7 days for it to be acted on.
II. Once a petition that provides either Chamber of Congress with something to debate and vote on has reached 15 signatures in the first 7 days, the petition must receive a form of public acknowledgment from the leader of the Chamber of Congress the petition is aimed at.

III. Once a petition that provides either Chamber of Congress with something to debate on has received 20 signatures in the first 14 days, the petition must be debated after current business has concluded in the Chamber of Congress itís aimed at barring an executive dismissal. unless it fails the basic standards of a bill as laid out in Thaecian law. After debate is finished, it must be voted on as well. Once the vote in the respective chamber is finished, it becomes the priority bill in the other chamber, to be debated and voted on as soon as current business is finished.

IV. If a petition fails to reach the first threshold within a week, it is considered a failed petition.

i. The Chamber of Congress aimed at by the petition is under no obligation to acknowledge or place a failed petition on the docket however may do so if they wish.

Fellow members of the House of Commons, and Electoral Commissioner Rayekka, I present a requirement meeting no Confidence Motion against Speaker Marvinville.

Author: Toerana V
Sponsors: Toerana V, The Ambis, Solittus, Sunipi, New Central Iowa

Acknowledging the belief that the Speaker should work for the house, not the other way round,
Concerned at the modern and historical abuse of the Speakership and the powers invested in it by Marvinville to disrupt House business, and block legislation that has house support,
Believing that for a more constructive, productive, and beneficial House to exist, Marvinville must be removed from the Speakership.

Hereby presenting a No Confidence motion in Speaker Marvinville to the House of Commons of Thaecia.

(The Voting stage is not up yet - the EC has to accept the motion and then runs a debate period, although I appreciate the shows of support!)

Motion of No Confidence in the Speaker of the House of Commons - DEBATE

As per the Constitution of Thaecia, it is the Houses right to call a motion of no confidence in its leadership should one third of MPs sponsor a no confidence motion.

In this case, MPs Toerana V, The Ambis, Solittus, Sunipi and New Central Iowa have sponsored a motion of no confidence in Speaker of the House of Commons Marvinville. No replacement Speaker has been nominated, so in the event of this motion passing, a Speaker election will be triggered.

We now enter the debate phase of the motion of no confidence. The debate will last approximately 24 hours unless lack of, or a lot of debate determines otherwise.

- Rayekka
Electoral Commissioner

I stand in opposition to this motion and urge all MP's to vote NAY!

I vote nay in this motion, it would only cause chaos if it did pass, and Marv is a competent speaker with plenty of political experience in Thaecia.
Though albeit kind of dissapointed the petition legislation got turned down.
