Are they? Never even occurred to me to try. What normally goes for leeches?
Just about anything. they are natural forage for fish since they usually live in the same lakes and rivers along side them. another good bait is hellgrammites.
Maybe I'll give it a shot sometime. There's a place near here with tons of leeches, so I could gather them locally. How hard are they to get on the hook?
I've never fished with them myself but bait shops sometimes sell them and folks that buy them say they work pretty good. they kinda look similar to a worm really. might be why black is a good color for plastic worms.
