Nice
Greetings neighbors!
I have a request. I am looking for feedback on my two nations, Urstadge and Pelbar. The first was meant to be a free nation of libertarians and anarchists and the latter was meant to be a common-sense Socialist nation. And I feel both have derailed. Any feedback welcome. Oh, and check out the Factbook of Urstadge. These 'newspapers' are from the early years when it was part of the British Empire from 2006 to 2009. Thak you.
Also, has anybody compared their currency to real world dollars? For example in the Free Hold of Urstadge the average income is 183,760 Deer Skins. Now, that sounds weird but there is a website made by one of the players that compares currency ingame to USD. One Deer Skin is worth 62 cents. So the average workers of Urstadge makes, roughly, $113.931.20 per year. Before taxes. And the rich make at least 5.2 times then the poorest workers. It helps that the tax rate, by the way, is 1.1 percent.
Now, my socialist nation of Pelbar uses credits. Which has a exchange rate of 1 Credit is $1.27. And the average worker makes 101,790 Credits. So in American dollars they make $129,273.30 per year. Sounds great. Til you add the 88.2 percent tax rate - higher for the rich. Which means you end up with about 500 Credits or so.
But the government does pay for education and healthcare. And crime is, almost, totally unknown. And unemployment is only 8 percent compared to Free Hold which is up to 20 percent and a lot of crime. Still, I guess it depends on what kind of lifestyle you want.
I used to pin AKB (Ankuran buillon) to a random variation of CAD (Canadian dollar), but I never tried to do any NSD to real-world exchanges, and I haven't kept up with that in awhile anyway. Like a lot of people, I don't use NS stats.
But I just remembered this neat site you might enjoy: http://www.broomdces.com/nseconomy/
Urstadge and Ci Arovannea
I'm suddenly remembering that green in the top layer of this flag was directly inspired by the Syrian Independence Flag like 7+ years ago
