The Roleplaying Paradise

1. It is wise to observe the actions of any alliances to ensure they align with your policy before joining them.

2. Any and all actions in roleplay will have consequences of some sort. Take careful consideration into what you are doing if you plan to start a war or any belligerent activity.

3. It is wise not to wage wars with active nations to expand your territory. Use grey-zone annexation instead (see Advisory 4 below).

4. The annexation of grey zones by war RP is possible, but it's risky and it's better and safer annex it with peacekeeping forces, saying that the government of the grey nation has fallen. However, there are alternatives to claiming peacekeeping troops...

5. It may be wise to expand into adjacent land gradually instead of pulling a Third Reich and trying to swallow everyone.

6. RP time is flexible. Use time however you see fit and manipulate the timeframes to your advantage.

7. RP does not necessarily have to be militaristic or political. If you don't like what's going in the world stage, look towards your own nation and start your own thing.

8. Don't expect to have a huge military from the start.

9. Your geographical location will determine what your military can do and will do. Expect to put more money into your maritime assets if you're an island or have a coastline, but don't expect to have a full-on blue water navy with regional power projection capabilities accepted immediately. Likewise, if your coastline is just a sea and not an ocean, your naval assets may also be reduced.

There are only advisories and guidelines, not rules.
