Basically, it rearranges our legal system to make it much, much more readable/understandable for everyone. The laws in place will be largely the same, just simpler and clearer.

19th June 1865 (156 years ago): Abolition of slavery announced in Texas on "Juneteenth"
In what is now known as Juneteenth, on 19 June 1865, Union soldiers arrive in Galveston, Texas with news that the Civil War is over and slavery in the United States is abolished.
A mix of June and 19th, Juneteenth has become a day to commemorate the end of slavery in America. Despite the fact that President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was issued more than two years earlier on 1 January 1863, a lack of Union troops in the rebel state of Texas made the order difficult to enforce.
Some historians blame the lapse in time on poor communication in that era, while others believe Texan slave-owners purposely withheld the information.
Upon arrival and leading the Union soldiers, Major Gen. Gordon Granger announced General Order No. 3: "The people of Texas are informed that, in accordance with a proclamation from the Executive of the United States, all slaves are free. This involves an absolute equality of personal rights and rights of property between former masters and slaves, and the connection heretofore existing between them becomes that between employer and hired labor. The freedmen are advised to remain quietly at their present homes and work for wages. They are informed that they will not be allowed to collect at military posts and that they will not be supported in idleness either there or elsewhere."
On that day, 250,000 enslaved people were freed, and despite the message to stay and work for their owners, many left the state immediately and headed north or to nearby states in search of family members who had been taken to other regions during slavery.
For many African Americans, 19 June is considered an independence day. Celebrations date to 1866, at first involving church-centered community gatherings in Texas. It spread across the South and became more commercialized in the 1920s and 1930s, often centering on a food festival. Participants in the Great Migration out of the South carried their celebrations to other parts of the country. During the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, these celebrations were eclipsed by the nonviolent determination to achieve civil rights, but grew in popularity again in the 1970s with a focus on African-American freedom and African-American arts. Before 2021, nearly all 50 states recognized Juneteenth as a state holiday. On 17 June 2021, President Biden signed legislation officially declaring it a federal holiday. Juneteenth is the first new federal holiday since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was declared a holiday in 1983.
Modern observance is primarily in local celebrations. Traditions include public readings of the Emancipation Proclamation, singing traditional songs such as "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" and "Lift Every Voice and Sing", and reading of works by noted African-American writers, such as Ralph Ellison and Maya Angelou. Celebrations include rodeos, street fairs, cookouts, family reunions, park parties, historical reenactments, and Miss Juneteenth contests.

Here in Australia, Burger King is called Hungry Jacks for some reason, and I have to say, McDonalds is way better than Hungry Jack's. Did you know that recently, Hungry Jack's added a new burger to the menu. What did they call it? The Big Jack. It didn't even taste very good!
Y’know, if I a) didn’t have a moral compass and b) was able to actually get stuff done, I would totally start a cult around Jupiter. Not even the Roman god, the Planet of Jupiter itself. Big clouds just really get to me, y’know?
I would make a cult around Mercury. Not the Roman God, not the planet, but the toxic substance.

damn i have haters now?
