It came as a shock to everyone as, for the first time once more since its war for independence, Samarkand City has been threatened to be pacified once more by a foreign country. 2 battleships, 5 cruisers, and 13 destroyers were deployed by the Venezuelan-Colombian coalition, along with thousands of Marines to occupy the Halufi capital. Chairman Lucero and his war cabinet was able to escape with their airships and flew inland and into the jungles where no one can pursue them, and sent telegrams all around the island to rescue New Jerusalem against the conquerors.
The enemy began shelling the city, and troops started to land on the shores. For many Samarkanish, the memory of the colonizers pacifying their home was still fresh in their minds 10 years ago, and some retaliated against their enemies by using anything to use as weapons
Halufi commanders actually planned that, though Samarkand was the cultural and economic home of the nation, they would use it to draw in the enemy before the relief force from both the sea and land around the island corner them off.
And so at the dead of night, and the occupation grounded down and the coalition forces slept on the apartments of the Halufians, they were bamboozled as three airships emerged from the outskirts of the city, blasting their loud horns as below them, a cloud of dust whirled into the direction of the city.
12,000 of El Haluf's elite cavalrymen, the Llaneros, drove into the Halufian avenues and slashed surprised coalition forces with their sabers and shot the fleeing enemies with their pistols. Their warships attempted to fire their weapons as they were docked in The Puerto Arsenale, but explosions from the rear made most of their ships unoperational, and those that were are too stunned to react. In the rear is the entire Dominion Defense Fleet, brought to bear in full strength with 3 battleships, 14 Cruisers, and more importantly were the 20 destroyers, half of it armed with destroyers that explained the explosions that came out from nowhere.
Coalition forces mustered a defense as best as they could. They held strategic positions and key objectives, but by dawn, more and more Halufi reinforcements, most of them are Foreign Legions, but the civilians as well involved in the fighting, now equipping themselves with weapons picked up from dead soldiers of both sides.
By noon of next day, the coalition forces surrendered as they were cornered on the ruined Arsinale, their ships burning behind them.
Though a decisive victory, it still proved to be a humiliating prospect for El Haluf. New Jerusalem was desecrated by their enemy, and Chairman Lucero, aboard his airship because it is his office now, since the Kastila de Retendor has been damaged, and he frequently goes to trips anyway, declared a three day mourning and retribution. No mercy was given to the prisoners, and their executions were filmed in gruesome detail and sent to their enemy's governments and threatened to do the same, without hesitation. Samarkand's streets itself were clogged by dead horses and men; and many landmarks were damaged. Identified Halufians were given proper burial rights and were sent to the sea, while enemies were simply tossed in pits and burned. The ruined enemy ships nestled in the ruined Puerto Arsenalé were salvaged as much as possible.
Chairman Lucero's airship, The Rocinante flew above the busy civilians, and as they ssaw his vehicle flying in the sky, they screamed El Haluf's motto and prayer: The Seas will Run Red.

The United Arab Emirates King has signed an agreement with a neighboring kingdom. This poses a great threat to your expansion. Will you still take the risk to invade them?
Why?

A Nation Crumbles
"Hello, fellow men and women, I am Gregory Davies, Foreign Minister of... Reformed Polynesia. Today is Febuary 19th, 1920. After months of political unrest, and... instability, I regret to inform you that..." Davies looked down at his paper where he had jotted his speech, he hesitated, and sighed.
"I regret to inform you that our great nation of Reformed Polynesia has crumbled. The Parliament building destroyed, Leader deposed and imprisoned. Almost all other major political figures and ministers have been taken into custody. Only the Minister of Intelligence and I have avoided capture." He paused, recollecting himself.
"I have no doubt that once my location is given away, I will be put on trial and sentenced to death, and that's why I appeal to you, fellow citizens."
"Even if our nation is to fall, we achieved something... great. Something once thought to be unattainable, we united Polynesia, brought greatness to it all. Our nation was once the size of Britain, we used to rule the Pacific, and no matter how many textbooks you erase our names from, how many people you try to silence, how many laws and codes you try to enforce, you will never manage to completely destroy our nation. For we are the people and destroying the people, is to destroy yourself."
"New Zealand, Hawaii, Marshall Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Nauru, Easter Island, Samoa, Mangareva, The Cook Islands, and many, many more. We are Polynesia! And our memory, our legacy, our accomplishments, our nation and our government will never be forgotten! People of Polynesia! Never forget our nation and never forget our cause! One day, we will rise again, might not be this year, or the next. But I'll be damned if it's not coming soon."
"This Gregory Davies, signing out."
Moments later, Davie's hideout was stormed and he was arrested, all members of the government were sentenced to death, as Davies walked outside and on to the field awaiting the firing squad.
"Are you shaking? Scared to die?" A soldier taunted.
"Yes, I am shaking. But only to the cold weather."
Bang!

WA Delegate election is up!
Make sure to vote!
Dear fellow citizens of the Democratic Republic,
This Senate term, a historic and unprecedented legislation was unanimously passed by which you can directly elect your World Assembly delegate for the first time. The current state of WA in terms of TDR representation is inactive to say the least. I am running for that position and pledge a proactive representation in WA affairs as well as resolution writing and representing the interests of our region. I also pledge to present periodic reports to the region on WA affairs and will closely work with the Consul and the new Senate to achieve these goals. Thank you, and the vote is here on the RMB poll.

El Haluf Moves Further East with Brutality
Samarkand City has been invaded. And though the coalition's assault was averted by the Dominion, the civilian population was still furious, and cried for blood. Chairman Lucero promised that no quarter will be spared for the perpetrators of the Battle of Samarkand.
Chairman Lucero plans to win the war against the coalition swiftly and brutally, as he plans to use his people's vengeance to launch an assault towards Venezuela. "Venezuela's oil before Colombia's Minerals" he said, pertaining to the priority of their assault. He ordered a specialized Ministry of Propaganda that would instill nationalism and patriotic fervor to his countrymen; and once more he sent out The San Jose Treaty of Peace to all Halufiites, and blood to those who refuse it.
And so his assault began. The remaining Venezuelan coastline was invaded, justified by the coalition's invasion of their city, but also because the Dutch and French colonies of colonies of Guyana and Suriname has accepted the Chairman's call of the Treaty of Peace. Dreadnoughts further bombarded the coastline of the enemy, destroyers and cruisers hunted and sank any enemy resistance in the sea, and the Venezuelans, who have been preparing their defenses by setting up trenches and machine gun nests, were swept aside by the weapons concocted by the Weapons X program: poison gas, nitroglycerin shells launched from Zeppelin bombers, and vengeful and furious soldiers who have by now become veterans and experienced in the wars in Central America and Mexico.
And as promised, the Halufiites promised blood. Those who refused to take the Treaty are massacred with poison gas, so needless to say, the already fractured Venezuela have had towns and local warlords surrendering to approaching El Haluf forces without a fight. The coastline will be captured and the European colonies will be secured!
Strengthen The Army!
After the military general found this information out, he refused to give up. He returned to mainland Asauroaust, and released the soldiers to train and prepare for the Attack on Dubai, using the time to plan an attack. Some extra soldiers were brought into the force that is going to bring down the United Arab Emirates.
Operation Hailstorm
Operation Hailstorm was the name of the attack that was going to be done to the battlefields of the United Arab Emirates. The soldiers were deployed onto the nation by ship, landing onto the coastline. But when the soldiers got to the battlefield, that is when the Operation Hailstorm commenced. The Arabian army was well prepared for the attack alongside their neighbour's troops, but they did not expect what happened to them next. Tons of grenades were chucked into the air, hailing on the battlefield, wiping plenty of the army out within little time, after the explosions, the Asauro army charged ahead and fired at the few survivors of the hail.
Buildings nearby were damaged, and some citizens were caught in the hail, but that was not the concern. The concern was that the battle was over and the King needed to be arrested, and so he was. The soldiers charged onto from the UAE to Omani territory, which was quickly seized due to low population and small military size. Oman still held some territory, though very little. A peace treaty was signed between Khodavandi and the Sultan of Oman.
Execution of the Three Kings of Fallen Nations!
The Qatari King, The Bahraini King and the United Arab Emirates King were all aligned on top of a ship in the Persian Gulf, all tied up while standing, The executioner, which was the military general, said to them. "You are a failure to your countries, to your lands and to your citizens, you have failed to defend against the ruthless force of the Asauro, and now you die in shame!" before slitting their necks wide open, and kicking their corpses into the gulf to float away.
Dubai's Repairing
After the damages caused to Dubai in the battlefield, plenty of money had to be dumped into the repairing of the damaged parts, along with compensation for the families who lost family members in the cross-fire.
