So... anyone got anything to talk about?
There's always the situation in Syria. The escalation brought on by the US and its allies is inexcusable, especially with their flimsy claims of Assad gassing his own citizens, which make no sense when properly examined. I personally detest both Assad and Putin on an ideological plane, but as before with other instances I encourage members of our region to remain critical of US imperialism.
I think that if Assad did indeed gas his own civilians, then that is inexcusable and it is everyone's duty to intervene. However, I don't think it's time yet to perform a military action like an airstrike. This is one of those times when there's no way of making everyone happy.
I think the best thing we can do both online and off involves two points: organization and agitation. Get the word out to as many as we can about the true makeup of Marxist ideology, promote labor organizing into unions and get out there for the protests. In addition, when you hear imperialist or destructive speech, combat it, whether it is in the workplace, home, or anywhere else. We can do this here, in a much smaller way, on the forums, but let us not forget that our attentions should be in the physical, material reality we find ourselves in.
Very well comrade, it is my pleasure and duty to fulfill the task
The French are no strangers to political protest. It's a symptom; a heaving sigh of someone who is sick and needs relief. I believe more should adopt their methods. The sanitized version of protest we see today does nothing to shake up the status quo. So long as it is within the confines of the state, it is not truly a protest.
I didn't notice it at the time but Vostrikovia went inactive.
True, but having lots of different riots still isn't the solution. Making them the norm will make people stop caring or make them mad at us.
You're right, unfocused protest gets us nowhere and serves mainly as a release on the pressure valve, so to speak. Thank you for saying that and allowing me to clarify.
And yes, he has. I've been talking with a nation to potentially join the region, I'll continue talking to them about it and see where that goes.
