Iíve been asked to clarify that the FREE stance is on recalls (removing Senators from the Senate), and not no confidence votes (removing the Senate Chair from being Chair). These are different situations, but they are still fairly similar, at least in my opinion. You can draw whatever comparisons you wish.

Sunipi wrote:Actias, the author of the motion to forcibly remove Sevae, has issued a statement in support of his points on the Senate RMB. You can read it here:

Upon seeing it, one question sprang to mind. Does this imply that Actias is now in coalition with FREE? On the Discord server, he told me that it was because he had the support and backing of FREE, by there was no formal coalition. Ok, so FREE have given Actias their support. Letís turn to them.

The following is a quote from FREEís manifesto:

ďThe Freedom Party of Thaecia stands in full opposition to the policy of Citizen's Recall. The party believes that, once a legislator is elected, the people are giving said legislator a mandate for the duration of their termÖ[and] that recalls should be limited strictly to situations of inactivityÖĒ

Aside from the policy itself, this seems to contradict the motion sponsored by both FREE Senators, and supported by the party. Although this isnít a citizensí recall, the principle remains. Sevae isnít inactive, and, according to FREEís policy, has the mandate to serve for the entire term.

Senators, I urge you to vote against the motion of no confidence, else undermine the democratic functions of this region.

Ah yes preventing the people from choosing who makes the laws for them, the pinnacle of democracy. I hate it when the people the government is meant to be serving undermines democracy by removing government officials who aren't serving them. Very authoritarian.

I'm not entirely sure what you're point is?

This makes no sense. This is not a citizens recall. You can't just take FREE opposing citizens being able to remove representatives and apply it to representatives being able to dismiss their chamber leader. This is an entirely different thing. The connection is absolutely minimal.

Even Marvinville can say that there are many reasons to vote against this, but this is absolutely not one of them. It's astounding to me that your thought process is that FREE cannot support one thing and not the other- things that are very very mildly related for the record. No support of citizens being able to recall an individual is not the same as legislators removing a chamber leader. The only relation is it is someone leaving office. What's next, FREE opposes resignations? Besides this isn't even leaving office like a citizens recall is considering the dismissed leader is still a representative. Even less related and the argument made by Sunipi is even less relevant...

Maybe I should criticise TGP for supporting full direct democracy because they support one chamber direct one chamber representative. What do you mean, TGP doesn't support full direct democracy? Well they support something that has a mild relation to it. So therefore I am allowed to use that as a totally unrelated argument!

Their point is that this is not "undermining the Democratic functions of the region" like Sunipi says potentially in the vain hope of winning sensationalist votes to keep Seva in office. Removing someone as chamber leader and choosing a new one is something you can oppose for any number of reasons but not because it is 'undemocratic'.

Thanks for the clarification - that makes sense.

(Also grrr double post!!!)

Information about war.
We won a battle near one of Yalnkraines villages, however the loses were heavy. We advanced about 7 kilometers into enemys teritiry, but taken only 1 village and no singnificent towns.
There has also been battle for island of Oakland (Dębiląd). The island was unprotected and taken by enemy, thankfully it was reclaimed fast, as the only army that guarded it was: 20 man, 1 transport helicopter, 2 corvettes, destroyer and an AA gun.
Filipistan loses: 1345 to 1400
Fralincia loses: ~2000

Saltmore wrote:Corvettes? You mean, like the expensive car?

Orang Moku would like to apologize for not mobilizing troops sooner. Now, we are working to send our troops under the UDAT banner to Yalnkraine to aid in the effort of liberating Yalnkraine from Fralincia's imperialism.

Should we design a flag for UDAT? Because, I'd be happy to.

Also, if I make one, how do you add images to factbooks?

I'll get to work on some ideas. What if we all contributed ideas and voted on them? Maybe

I proudly announce a capital city.

Orang Moku wrote:I'll get to work on some ideas. What if we all contributed ideas and voted on them? Maybe

Yeah that would work for me. (Sorry I havenít said much regarding this. Thereís a whole thing with congress happening that is sorta swallowing my attention)

I just had an idea: What if for a mashup it was like Croatia (but bigger)? They have 5 seals above their main crest representing... well, I'm not sure exactly, but still. They're small, but we could do something bigger.

I'll start trying to work on that.

Info about war:
Yalnkrainian forces along with Filipistan forces have pushed Fralincian forces back out of the state of New Headingley, gaining 16 kilometres.

I have made most of the flag. I just need 2 background colors. Any ideas for those?

Plus Filipistanian forces with help of Orang Moku secured Oakland (Dębiland)

How about Yellow and White or Blue and White?

Filipistan wrote:Plus Filipistanian forces with help of Orang Moku secured Oakland (Dębiland)

The Ambis sends out a formal apology to the other members of UDAT. The government sends out food and medicine but is unable to spare more since they are currently in the middle of a congress debate.

This is my submission!
I think voting could be hosted ater we all post our flag ideas on Thaecia meesage board.

Here is my submission:

Requires some touch-up, but itís a combination of the 5 founding members of UDAT (the flag was made before any other nations joined)

Hereís the link: https://i.ibb.co/nLVTH3K/Screenshot-2022-05-21-12-52-48-PM.png

Read factbook

It is rough and would need to be touched up, but it's what I could do with the device I'm on.
