The Unity Party of Thaecia (UNI) is a catch-all political party. It was founded on July 19th 2019, after a merger between the Pirate, Freedom Alliance and Solidarity parties of Thaecia and has since grown to include members from all across Thaecia's political landscape. The main objective of the party is forming effective and organised leadership for Thaecia and adopting policies based on what is the best for the region, rather than what serves solely our own interests.
The Unity Party of Thaecia stands against the ejection from the region of multiple members of the former Thaecian Reformist Party and will endeavour to bring justice to those affected by this action.
We believe that Thaecia's should adopt a unicameral legislature as this will improve the quality of Congressional leadership, the scope of debate within Congress, and the representation of voters by Congress. The Unity Party will push for a regional referendum on this issue.
The Unity Party of Thaecia believes that the Minister of Home Affairs should increase interaction on the RMB and discord. We believe that the minister is responsible with greeting new residents, as well as instructing them with any questions regarding the functioning of the government and politics in our region. An active and interactive minister helps turn Thaecia into a better community for all.
The Unity Party of Thaecia believes in semi-absolute freedom of speech, so long as it doesen't violate any of NationStates' rules. We reject banning any individual of this region due to them having their own political beliefs, and we will always seek to oppose amendments or laws which infringe on this right.
We believe that any type of immigration is beneficial to regions as a whole in NationStates, as new people help making our region larger, improving activity and allowing for more interaction and activity between citizens.
The Unity Party of Thaecia believes that Thaecia should adopt a progressive approach when it comes to inter-regional relations. We reject simply building embassies just for the sake of building embassies. We support finding pro-active new allies which are not involved in raiding and hold peaceful relations with the inter-regional community, in order to expand Thaecia's influence in NationStates.
We support the upkeep and maintence of an active and experienced Ambassadorial Corps, which works with the Foreign Affairs Ministry to promote better relations between Thaecia and it's embassy regions.
The Unity Party of Thaecia supports the freedom of a of a strong defender led military to act decisively in the region's best interests. We believe the military should be able to respond quickly to threats without requiring Congressional approval and that it can be held accountable for its actions afterwards. Although active raiding should not be a primary goal of our region. the Unity Party supports collective raiding or military missions within interregional cooperation or mandate, which improves our military and foreign presence in nationstates and builing a strong idenity in Nationstates.
Our party believes that Thaecia can benefit from joining inter-regional organisations, but we believe any opportunity to do so must be considered carefully to ensure that Thaecia will benefit from joining and we reject any inter-regional organisation that will not benefit Thaecia.
The Unity Party of Thaecia believes that Thaecian roleplay should remain independent of politics and should be allowed as much autonomy as possible. However, we accept that the Thaecian government should retain the ability to take control of the roleplay, but only when absolutely necessary, such as when the roleplay's internal management breaks down.
We believe that the Culture Minister should work with the organisation of monthly regional events (for example regional online games or competitions), as a way to promote activity and interaction in the region. We also believe that the Culture Minister should organise weekly polls with a variety of different topics, as a way of promoting interaction on the RMB.
The Unity Party of Thaecia opposes any attempts to establish copyright laws in Thaecia (Eg: Copyright laws for party logos or any other government or privately owned institutions). We believe copyright laws in a game like NationStates are unnecessary, and only restrict the freedom of citizens.
Our party opposes the usage of government-owned institutions and government privileges in campaigning. Therefore we believe acts such as using of communications privileges to send region-wide telegrams campaigning on behalf or against a party or candidate, or the usage of the WFE or government-owned nations to campaign on behalf or against a party or candidate, should be criminalised.
We believe that the Justice Minister, with consent of the Prime Minister and the President, should be allowed to have the powers to temporarily close the regional borders during an election. This power could be used in order to prevent the influx of puppets during an election, which may influence the results.
The Unity Party of Thaecia proposes the creation of a lower Associate Court to take criminal and civil cases, to which the High Court can serve as a court of appeal, while serving the primary purpose of constitutional review.
Our party is strongly against political involvement by High Court justices. We believe the justices of the Court should remain politically independent and refrain from making public comments about court cases or persons involved in them - justices' opinions should remain within their official channels on the Court RMB. In order to uphold judicial independence, we believe the justices themselves must remain independent.
We propose reforming the High Court's official procedures to improve their efficiency and transparency. At present the Court works slowly and silently, we believe this should be changed and can be changed by reforming the Court's procedures.
The Unity Party of Thaecia proposed the creation of a People's Attorney Office to serve as a guardian of the people against abuses by the government and will be able to provide legal representation to Thaecian residents in court.
We believe the Justice Minister should be able to publicly advise Congress on the constitutionality of certain bills, and publicly advise the Prime Minister and the House of Commons on the competence and integrity of potential High Court nominees.
Membership
Any citizen of Thaecia can become a member of our Political Party. All members together form without exclusion of any member the supreme authority in the Party. Membership can be limited or revoked by the governmental institutions of the party.Leadership Council
The Unity Party of Thaecia shall be led by a Leadership Council, consisting of 5 members if membership is below 35, 7 members if membership is 35-50 and 9 if there are more than 50 members. If the number of members changes tiers, the number of spots on the LC will be changed during the declaration period before the elections prior to the next term. The Council will choose a Party Chairman from among its members. Elections for its members are to be held every 2 months and are to coincide with Thaecian elections. Should a seat on the leadership council go vacant, an internal party election shall be held for the vacant seat.Party Chairman
A Party Chairman shall be elected by the Leadership Council. The Chairman shall serve a term of 2 months, with the possibility of seeking re-election. The Chairman shall be the main representative of the party, the campaign manager during elections and shall have the ability to maintain the day-to-day workings of the party, however in general most important decisions require the consent of the leadership council. Internal party referendums and elections shall be organised by the Chairman, or by a person designated by the Chairman, except in the event that the Chairman is standing as a candidate, in which case they are required to appoint someone else who is not running in the election to organise it. In the event that there is no Chairman, the remaining members of the leadership council shall decide who will organise the elections.Party Deputy Chairmen
Two Deputy Party Chairmen shall be appointed by the Party Chairman to assist them with their duties.The Cabinet
The Leadership Council can also create and manage other leadership roles outside of the Council as part of the Council’s Cabinet. Members can apply for these roles and can be appointed with the approval of the Leadership Council. If more than one member applies for a role, all members can vote on who the winner should be.Disseminating Candidates
In order to run candidates in elections, the party shall organise internal party primaries. Should the leadership council decide that the party shouldn't run any candidates in a specific election, this decision shall also be voted on by party members.Impeachment Procedures
A vote to impeach a member of the leadership council may be called if a motion for impeachment receives the signatures of 20% of the membership. If a motion does obtain the signatures of 20% of the membership, support of at least 50% of voting members shall be required in an impeachment vote in order to impeach a council member. An impeachment vote can also be called by the Leadership Council if two-thirds of its members vote for it. The remaining members of the leadership council, not suffering the impeachment vote, shall decide who will organize the vote.Committees and Caucuses
Any member of the party may create a Committee with the approval of the Leadership Council. Members of the legislature may also form Caucus with the approval of the Leadership Council. If approval is withdrawn by the Leadership Council, the committee or caucus must cease to exist.Amending this Constitution
Any changes to the Manifesto or Internal Party Constitution of the Unity Party of Thaecia must be approved by a majority of voting members at an internal party referendum.
Members of the Unity Party of Thaecia are encouraged to avoid using toxic campaigning or accusations which lack facts or are generally illogical or have the primary purpose undermining other candidates/parties. We as a party put professionalism above electoral victory. We believe all criticisms must be made with a logical base.
Any party members who are convicted of corruption by the Thaecian High Court will be removed from the party. Our party is absolutely against corruption, we see it as extremely harmful to the region's development and growth. Any members also facing trial for possible corruption will have their memberships temporarily suspended pending trial and permanently revoked if convicted.

I am running for a better future of Thaecia. Enacting laws that will not only help balance the government of Thaecia but also enact laws that will support the people of Thaecia I believe it is time for a new coming and new rising of new ideas, bills that can pass for the everlasting future of Thaecia. The future of Thaecia is dependant on many generations to come. It is time for the new generation to step up and have a modern say in the Government, the people shall have and continue to have fundamental human basic rights to protect themselves from "greedy and corrupted" political officials. The representation of Democratic values is the core forefront of my campaign

Repealing "L.R.011 Thaecian Military Defence Force Creation Act"
This law has been proven time and time again that it is ineffective to properly form a " region military" for the sole purpose of defending the region by invaders/raids. If elected, this law will be repealed and if by public referendum, the region wants a military, I will work with my colleagues to draft a newly, functional military that we can have faith in.
Proposing an amendment to add to the Constitution: "Inactivity of the President of Thaecia for (10days) shall be an impeachable offense upon which the House of Commons and Senate and High Court of Thaecia shall convene for an emergency convention." This amendment will set precedent for generations to come as this amendment will preserve the democratic way of life. This amendment shall be included in the To ensure we have a Democratic, fair and just system of democracy. The amendment proposal I am introducing is to reinforce democracy. An absentee President threatens our WA recognition and region standing. The President is an incredibly influential office.This amendment will help protect our Democratic system and preserve democracy.

First I would like to say that our children are our future generation, that is a fact we cannot diminish or ignore. It must be said that our climate environment is at a worse stage now than it was decades ago and that is because of decades of denial of the facts and partisanship of the reality. The reality is that now this generation must face the problems that generations before us created. Past generations have failed us, now we are left to pick up the pieces of what's remaining of our climate. This MUST NOT be ignored, the climate of our earth is in a crisis state.

Hello, Thaecia! I'm Korsinia. You most likely know me from my time as Foreign Affairs Minister, some of you know me as a Member of Parliament.
I'm one of the oldest members of our region, having served as a Minister under both the Prime Ministers we have had.
I'm the founder of the Diplomatic Corps, laid the foundation for the way our Foreign Ministry operates today as well as having created the Order of Thaecia which promotes residents and colleagues to push themselves as much as they can to get accepted into it.
I plan to run for Prime Minister this election and bring Thaecia another good term.
Both Andusre and Rayekka have been amazing Prime Ministers, having shaped Thaecia into the region we all know and love and set high standards to meet.
As Prime Minister I plan to do the following:
-Introducing reforms to the Ministries
-Create awards in the respective Ministries to promote the expansion of the executive and motivate the workers to do more for the Ministries
-Closer ties with our allied regions so we always can help each other in times of need.
-Keep the current recruitment procedure as it promotes more activity and allows citizens to take part in it.
-Oppose bad things like everyone else
The office of Prime Minister is a role requiring someone to handle a lot of responsibility, with my experiences and will to push my limits I promise Thaecia another good Prime Minister.
I believe my reform ideas will bring fresh cookies to the executive and push Congress on to a more active path.
-I will keep the Interior Ministry the way it is currently with minor changes.
-The Ministry will continue monitoring regional immigration and emigration and provide monthly reports on population changes.
-The Ministry will once again be in charge of recruitment efforts but actual recruitment will continue the way it is currently, meaning that instead of Terentius keeping track of telegrams sent, nations joined and more, the Interior Minister will do it.
-Freedom of speech is an important factor to a functioning democracy but given that NationStates is a game, and the toxic freedom it gives to trolls and spammers, Freedom of speech will be at the mercy of NationStates rules and current anti-toxicity measures we have in place.
The Ministry will be our RMB control, suppressing posts that are:
Attacking someone's race, gender, religious belief, sexual orientation or disability(ies).
Obvious trolling, flaming or outright toxic.

-The Ministry will welcome new nations to Thaecia and make sure they are made aware of what Thaecia has to offer.
-I will, with the Interior Minister, plan the awards for the Ministry.
-The Ministry of Culture is very home of Thaecia's creative heart and I plan to keep it that way.
-I will introduce writing contests, a monthly event with a specific theme to encourage citizens to write stories or parodies and send them to the Ministry to have them published, the regional favourite piece of literature will win a monthly award.
-Cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and Culture Ministry to host interregional events and writing contests.
-Monthly events alongside the writing contests to promote activity and socialisation among Thaecians.
-I will plan the awards for the Ministry with the Culture Minister.
-The Justice Minister will be available for Congress to summon should they be in doubt of the legality of a bill, as well as be able to request to speak at a Congressional session if the Justice Minister deems a bill to be legally conflicting so they can advise our lawmakers.
-The Justice Minister will be an advisor to the Prime Minister to make sure every action occurs within the constitution's and the laws' framework.
-The Executive will respect the independence of the Legislature and the Court to keep the separation of powers intact.
-The Public Defence Team will be headed by the Justice Minister. The PDT will represent citizens, if requested to do so, in court.
-I will plan the awards for the Ministry with the Justice Minister.
-The Roleplay Minister will be appointed based on the wishes of the Roleplay community.
-Non-citizens and non-residents are more than welcome to take part in our roleplay, but the Roleplay Minister will be a Thaecian citizen.
-The Roleplay will remain independent as it is now unless circumstances call for interference.
-The Defence Ministry has largely failed to start up for a long time and so I support shutting down the Ministry.
-Until the Ministry is shut down, I will aid the Minister in building the Ministry and promise to keep the number of soldiers low.
-I will plan the awards for the Ministry with the Defense Minister.
-Embassies with non-democratic regions as well as raider regions will not be allowed, embassies should be formed with regions we can maintain friendship with.
-Interregional organisations have a bad reputation in Thaecia and to avoid future potential drama, I will be against joining interregional organisations unless a public referendum takes place in favour of joining one.
-Ambassadors are important for maintaining regional relations as they serve as a bridge of communication between the regions.
Both Thaecia and our allies will exchange diplomats to ensure the best possible communication.
-I will plan the awards for the Ministry with the Foreign Minister.
-I plan to introduce a Ministry for education with an Education Minister. The Ministry be in charge of the University of Thaecia.
-The university will offer courses on the different positions one can hold as well as a general course on an institution one wishes to enter.
-The university will be for everyone regardless of experience and free of charge.
-The Minister of Education will in charge of hiring teachers for the various courses as well as making monthly reports of how many students entered each course and how many completed them.
-The Ministry will handle mentoring of new citizens to get them properly started in our region.
-The Ministry will research various diverse data to publish monthly to help the Ministries and the general public.

Citizens of Thaecia. I now enter my final week as Prime Minister of Thaecia. In just one weeks time, my successor will be being inaugurated.
I believe the person who should succeed me should have experience, integrity and be a true champion of the people. I believe that person is Korsinia, and that is why I am endorsing him for Prime Minister.
Korsinia has been in the region for as long as I remember, serving in the first ever session of the House of Commons, and going onto be a a sensation in Thaecia. He has served as one of the most successful MPs, Foreign Affairs Minister and most importantly, a God!
Korsinia is a true regional treasure, and only by voting for Korsinia come the election later this week, can you ensure that the Great Office of Prime Minister will be in competent, efficient and effective hands.
