I went to Wagamama earlier today and ate arguably the most enjoyable side of chicken skewers. Felt kinda bad cause I try my best to lower my meat consumption :weary:

Do they have Wagamama in America?

Wasn't sure, so I looked it up. There are only three Wagamamas in the US, all of which are near Boston.

Americans, Wagamama is a Japanese restaurant chain popular here in the UK

I've been to the one in NYC. It was pretty good from what I remember.

Yeah, British. And it was founded by a guy from Hong Kong. I like Wags, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't exactly call it a Japanese restaurant.

Semantics :l

Noteworthy is that its most popular item, the Katsu Curry, is Japanese.

In America we only have Panda Express. :/

That's true, it's also my favourite item on their menu. They definitely have some Japanese dishes, but also some dishes from Korea and other parts of Asia. You're right though, I'm just being pedantic.

Bah, that's a little misleading. There are thousands of small Chinese-American restaurants all over America. Sometimes they're holes in the wall, sometimes they're sprawling and fancy, sometimes they're combination bars and Chinese food restaurants.

Wait, I just realized the conversation is on Japanese food. Panda Express isn't Japanese ya dummy, it's Chinese-American. Anyways, there's Sarku.

I remember going to a Korean restaurant in NYC where most of the staff and a lot of the customers could barely speak English. Felt almost as authentic as going to Korea itself.

Never heard of Sarku. And yes, there’s tons of small restaurants. There are two of my friends whose families own ones.
