Based on what you wrote, my guess is roughly the mid 1990's. Are you allowed a laptop?

Yes, I brought my laptop as did several others.

It's currently 100 degrees at 5:30 pm. May be a dry heat, but it's still hot.

Texas Weather! Yesterday it was 99 at 5:30 PM. Welcome back to Far, Far, Really Far East Texas!

Glad you made it!

Yo, dude. One last bit of wisdom: You watch your butt! Keep your head on a swivel.

The BB is now among you full time..

***** Texas Birthday Announcement *****

Happy Birthday, Trecdom2! Mr. Secretary of State, Sir, we were sounding like a record stuck in a scratch. So we broke it and got a new record. Trec, as he is affectionately known, still holds the distinction of being the oldest active player in Texas! Huzzah! Also, as he was last year, he still is the longest-serving bureaucrat in the Texas government. Trec arrived in Texas on 09/19/2006. That is a long time ago. Very few nations that arrived in 2006 or earlier are still here.

Please join us in celebrating Trec's big day! We hope you have an awesome one!

Happy Birthday, Buddy!

We hope you brought some kegs! Been a long time since we got kegs...

Welcome in SouthWest Brightonburg !!

Kegs? Someone has a keg?

That's good advice anywhere, but especially in unfamiliar territory. We are at an increased threat level due to everything happening in the region, but there's been nothing specific directed at us.

I think some areas of Iran and Lebanon are about to undergo some major renovations. Stay on your toes.

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

Taco Time! Delivered! Are you ready for some severe Saturday Breakfast, still All-Fresh? Bring out the Drones! The NewTexas Happy Taco Stands, in conjunction with the NewTexas Incendiary Corporation, has approximately 1 trillion of the fastest, lightest drones you have ever seen. This fleet is specially designed to deliver tacos to every man, woman, child, whatever, in Texas, all 2,308,550,000,000 of you.

Today's special breakfast will Saturday Grilled Shrimp & Egg Breakfast Tacos [COVID-19 Week CCXXIX Edition]! The Head Chef and the Head Griller are back at it as this dynamic duo whips you up one so good you will want to kiss the cook! Public Safety Announcement: Please do not try to kiss the drone delivery vehicle. This one is awesome because the shrimp off the coast of NewTexas is awesome this time of year. The NewTexas Taco Stands Abuelas have been up all night peeling shrimp by the bushel. The Head Chef has been mixing up tanker truckfuls of marinade out of lemons, limes, grapefruits, oranges, and Mexican oregano and cumin. The shrimp pass through this mixture of joy only briefly before they are handed off to the Head Griller who grills them up just right. As they come off the grill, they are placed two-by-two into fresh, warm, homemade corn tortillas made with love by the NewTexas Taco Stands Abuelitas who quickly add in some perfect fluffy scrambled eggs and wrap it up tight just for you, Texas. Remember, a whole egg in every taco!®

Today's Special Salsa is our still-new - Salsa Ranch - this is simply a 50-50 mix of Ranch Dressing and Salsa Roja, the Texas Gold Standard red salsa prepared with tomatoes, garlic, onions, jalapeños, and a touch of cilantro. A sealed cup of Texas-made Longhorn Cheddar Jack cheese is also included for those who just need cheese. The taco is hermetically sealed in a Stay-Warm® pouch that is wrapped in the same ol' aluminum foil we are all so familiar with for our breakfast taco. We are trying to keep it real, peeps. For your beverage accompaniment, a packet of Sanka, Tang and a Lipton Tea bag will be included with every delivery as well as salt and pepper and a napkin. Yes, it is different, but it works and you do not have to leave your residence. Woo! And, watch out for the drones! Start your day off the right way; munch out and go back to sleep. You know you want to!®

Stay Safe Texas. Stay Well. Hang in there!

I know it's in the regs, but I feel kind of silly wearing a hat outside 6 hours after sunset.

Don’t I wear my sunglasses at night.
Plus did y’all the the thromping texas got by Georgia on Saturday?

It's starting to cool off. Let's hope it stays that way.

Trecdom2 wrote:It's starting to cool off. Let's hope it stays that way.

That's just the heating element kicking off. The temp will drop another five degrees or so, then you will hear an audible click, and the heat will be back with a vengeance.

Saw my 1st Space Force Guardian the other day. As well as a guy rocking an OCP kilt. He admitted it wasn't in regs, but his leadership didn't give him grief over it.

Texas

I am Pilson, the new country moved to Texas.

A camo kilt? He's going to have a camel spider crawl up there...

Today we mourn the passing of Star Trek writer, producer, and Voyager co-creator Jeri Taylor.

I count at least 31 writing, co writing, and production credits to her name across TNG, DS9, and Voyager. She also wrote 2 great Voyager books, Mosaics and Pathways.

Hello Texas :)
