Message from the New Prime Minister (WAD) of India to the Government & the Residents of Texas

Friends & Excellencies,

A new leadership ushers in uncertainties but worry not, the relations are about to touch a new high. The new Indian Government comes with this resolute policy of prioritizing our long-standing allies. This means that in the coming period, the relations & the people-to-people contact are about to embrace a new era of connections. The New Council of Ministries are helmed by capable individuals starting with the Defence Ministry led by Hindu Ram Rajya, who happens to be the former President (WAD) of the region & has been one of the key people working in the government to purge extremist elements from the Greater Hindu Empire (GHE). Their leadership at that time even ensured that GHE was purged & annexed by India for good. Furthermore, the Internal Affairs Ministry, previously known as the Home Ministry, is led by Gujarati Republic, a seasoned Internal Affairs Minister, who has served for about a year. Last, but not least, the External Affairs Ministry is led by our very own, Indusse, no need to introduce them for their so very well-known record.

The Government looks ahead proactively to build these relations into meaningful alliances on the principle of mutual cooperation & collective deterrence. The relations are about to enter a new phase & I'm looking up to each one of you contributing in the upcoming spring in the relations. There might be movie nights, gaming nights, events & a whole lot of fun coming your way! And in the process, we all would learn about each other's regions, backgrounds & views fostering an atmosphere of openness & unity. N-Day or Z-Day, together we shall sail through. The principle was, is & will always be of one world, one family, one future. This shall guide our relations to a prosperous future. Thank you for patiently reading this! Thank you!

Your Friend from India,
Akhand Bharatam,
Prime Minister (WAD)

Cause for celebration

Welcome back.

On this date, exactly 23 years ago, NewTexas sprouted into existence as a futuristic version of Texas. It is set roughly 1000 years in the future. New versions of all the cities are still right where they are only all their names start with "New" and all spaces have been removed from them. It is mostly concrete and steel with the only natural spaces devoted to livestock and farming. Virtually the entire population is shape-shifting hive-mind citizens. They all look different, but could all look the same if they wanted to. Pretty much everyone who was ever born on Earth is represented in NewTexas. We vary our size between our normal 55-foot size and a more manageable 6-foot size to keep from crushing too many of our citizens. We live above ground, we live below ground and we live in space. We have a galactic fleet of 13 dreadnaght class leviathans amongst others that we use for a diverse set of purposes and travel faster than lightspeed.

NewTexas is governed by Big Tex, a 55" foot shape-shifting leader of a nation of hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, cheerful population of 45.835 billion NewTexans all connected via a hive mind. NewTexas started as the Incorporated NationStates, meaning a bunch of different businesses make up our nation like in the book Jennifer Government, which the author of this game based the game off of. Buy it, read it. The Big Tex Happy Taco Stands are but one of the NationStates within NewTexas.

For those who are unaware of Big Tex's history, we stand at an imposing 52 feet, making us the tallest cowboy in NewTexas, and consequently, we are quite difficult to dress. Our size 100 180/181 shirt and our 284W/185L size XXXXXL jeans must be tailored specifically for us. The pants alone require 72 yards of denim and weigh in at 65 pounds. Then, of course, there are the accessories. Big Tex's boots are size 70 and tower 7 feet, 7 inches, and a five-foot-tall cowboy hat tops the ensemble.

Happy NationStates Anniversary to us!

Happy anniversary! Let us pop open a couple cans of Lone Star (Dr. Pepper for you young'uns) and celebrate.

It's Burns Night Texas! A celebration of Robert Burns and all things Scottish! And so,

The Selkirk Grace:

Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
Sae let the Lord be thankit.

O Frabjous Day, callooh, callay! Oh, wait, wrong dead poet. Happy Robert Burns Day! Pour us a couple of fingers of Macallan Double Cask dear Darth Kermit. We will share some of our experiences with Rabbie as he liked to be called. In honor of the late great Robert Burns, we will present a Scottish feast even Rabbie would wince at!

It always starts with a Soup Course. Tonight's selections are Scotch broth, Cock-A-Leekie, or Cullen Skink - all good Scottish recipes using fine Scottish ingredients. Haggis is required for the main course. For those unaware of haggis, it consists of a savory pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked in the animal's stomach. We will be using young tender lamb tonight. It is served with Champit Tatties & Neeps! We are not saying what those ar, but don't mix up your champits and your neeps or you are likely an eye-opening surprise. For the non-haggis inclined, there will be a fine brace of grouse. Dessert selections include traditional Scottish trifle or Cranachan, a dish of oatmeal, cream, and raspberries with a hint of whisky. Somebody invariably brings Krispy Kremes too. And, just when you thought you were through, a cheeseboard is passed around, usually with a selection of fine Scottish cheeses such as Caboc, Arran cheddar, Dunlop cheese from Ayrshire (similar to cheddar), or a Lanark Blue, served with Scottish chutneys and oatcakes. Yeah, there was a special on oats at the grocery store today. Even the mares are rolling their eyes at all the oats.

Now recite some of our favorite quotes of his:

Dare to be honest and fear no labor.

Affliction's sons are brothers in distress; A brother to relieve, how exquisite the bliss!

His locked, lettered, braw brass collar, Shewed him the gentleman and scholar.

O, Once I Lov'd A Bonnie Lass

"Some hae meat and canna eat, and some wad eat that want it; But we hae meat, and we can eat, Sae let the Lord be thankit."

"The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men gang aft agley."

"Liberty’s in every blow! Let us do or dee."

"A set o’ dull, conceited hashes, Confuse their brains in college-classes!
They gang in stirks, and come out asses...
Gie me ae spark o’ Nature’s fire, That’s a’ the learning I desire."

We could go on for days. Robert Burns was one of these larger-than-life characters who embraced life and romanticism in everything from his writing to his love life.

Free Haggis & Irn Bru For One and all! Happy Rabbie Burns Day!

Happy Burns Night NewTexas! Since your fingers are a tad bit bigger than mine, have two small casks of Macallan Double Cask for setting out this fine feast. It's been a while since I've had an Irn Bru!

We had haggis and tatties here tonight, but were unfortunately out of neeps. A nice scotch ale will be the nightcap, while listening to a celtic rock version of Scots Wha Hae.

God bless Rabbie Burns!

Howdy y'all!

A tip of the hat to Texas Gov. Abbott for all his efforts to get the feds to do their jobs on the border. His latest attempt in the court system is a little on the stretch side, but who knows. It might work.

Tex, me and you may be the only two people on the planet happy with this Super Bowl. My Twitter feed was full of anger and rants that the super bowl this year would be "boring"... nah, these are two very good teams, I'm sure it's going to be a showdown for the ages!

Personally, I'm rooting for the 49ers (I think Brock Purdy is an alluring storyline), but I won't complain about either outcome.

Go KC!
