The difference is that Bill committed numerous felonies including lying under oath.
President Trump did nothing wrong. You bet he unloaded on it. I would be flaming death on a stick pissed off and so should he.
The only upside to this whole thing is the attempted coup pissed off 62 million people that voted for Trump and millions more that did not vote for the president, but now see that he is doing really good things for the country. In fact there are many Democrats outside the beltway who saw from the beginning the impeachment was nothing more than political theater without basis in reality. While they may not be able to bring themselves to vote outside their party, they too are not happy with the way things are being run.
The nation is waking up. I think Nancy, Schiff and Schumer probably set the party of my grandfather back a generation or more.
this is why I wish we were like other nations in regard to political parties and elections we should have a bill that has a third party and the government should be split into thirds with the DNC, GOP, and a another party each having 30% while the remaining 10% is a grab bag of different parties

National Umbrella Day
Dolly Parton once said that if you want the rainbow, you’ve got to put up with the rain. Although she never said anything about how to put up with the rain, for generations, the method-of-choice has been the umbrella. As part of many cultures since ancient times, umbrellas have a storied history worth commemorating. So on February 10, we celebrate National Umbrella Day!
National Umbrella Day Activities
Watch a movie that features an umbrella
Singin' in the Rain? Mary Poppins? There are dozens of movies with umbrellas prominently featured, and today's the perfect day to watch one!
Get a cocktail with its own umbrella
Can anyone say "Mai Tai?" There's perhaps no better way to celebrate National Umbrella Day than with your very own miniature!
Buy a backup
Let's face it — umbrellas break all the time. Plan ahead by using National Umbrella Day as an excuse to stock up on an extra!
Why We Love National Umbrella Day
There are dozens of varieties
From the classic to automatic, and from collapsible to comical, there are dozens of types of umbrellas for countless types of scenarios. Which is your go-to?
They're still seeing innovation
If you search for "umbrellas" on any number of crowdfunding websites, you might be surprised by what you find — there are some seriously strange umbrella innovations happening out there. There aren't many things that have been around for so long, and are still seeing innovation!
They've got history
From the scrawlings of ancient Rome, to China, and to Greece, umbrellas can be spotted in the artwork of many early civilizations. It's one of the many examples of a tool that was invented multiple times, in multiple places, as the need for it was so universal.

No bill required. We may have as many political parties in this nation as there are people. Political Parties are not formed by congress. You can form your own political party today.
A bill will not do the trick. In fact, any law creating a political party is very likely unconstitutional. Political parties are not even allowed office space in federal buildings.
The only thing you need to form another political party is people signing election petitions and contributing money. We already have quite a few political parties in the US.
The Republicans and Democrats have never had an exclusive in this nation. In just the last four decades the Green Party, Libertarians, and one independent figured significantly into Presidential election outcomes. The Greens and Ralph Nader took Florida away from Al Gore and put George Bush in the White House in 2000. (Thank God!) Independant Ross Perot lured enough conservative votes from George Bush Sr. to let Bill Clinton slide into the White House. Libertarian party voters turned out in record numbers in the Primaries to make Trump the nominee, especially on Super Tuesday.
Right now in this country the following parties have access to the Presidential ballot [1]:
— Republicans, all 50 states.
— Democrats, all 50 states.
— Libertarian Party, all 50 states.
— Green Party, 44 states.
— Constitution Party, 24 states.
In addition to those there is the Party for Socialism and Liberation (Or something like that), Socialist Party USA (Bernie Sanders), US Communist Party, Tax Revolt Party, half a dozen parties for the legalization of marijuana, a hat full of "workers parties," and there is even a party supporting Alaskan independence. All of these and several dozen more are registered political parties (for IRS purposes) and out there trying to get your vote.
Sooo... How does the Party of Texas sound to you?
Really cool. Somethings I didn't know.
While Reagan may have played a "heavy hand" with US forces, it is clear that is the only reason those four dirtbags faced any kind of justice at all. Without it they would have vanished into the PLF.
It is ironic the leader of the operation ended up dead in US Custody after during the second Gulf War. I'm sorry to hear he lived that long.

hell Yeah all of us should form the Party of Texas but of coarse im not good in front of crowds so you or BT can be the front man while I can be the behind the scenes person. but about the bill I was saying that to get more then just the GOP and DNC controlling the government
NewTexas, Issues Test Bed, Fort verden, and United vinceland
Yeah, there's plenty of 3rd party political parties out there. However, none of them do well enough on a national scale to get elected.

January was an election month in 10000 Islands, with two Senate seats at contest. Incumbent Senator for New Republica South Aschente announced that they would not be running again, and incumbent Senator for Blue Canaria North HumanSanity declared their intention to run for that vacated position. HumanSanity defeated Dorab in the race for New Republia South, and now has the distinction of having held all four Senate seats in the region, at various times.
The race for Blue Canaria North was entirely open, with candidates THX1138 and Dandhican both running in their first election, and both as independents. THX1138 garnered the most votes, and joined XKI’s regional government.
The Council of Nine thanks Aschente for their service.
Information about other government officials of 10000 Islands can be found here.
As a result of their election as Senator, THX1138 has stepped down as Deputy Minister of Immigration. Congratulations to Haivon who has been appointed the new Deputy MOI, and who is already hard at work assisting the Ministry, and recently updated the Immigration Awards and Medals forum thread.

Maintaining a friendly presence in our embassy nations is always a priority, and the region is pleased to announce that HN67 has been hired as 10000 Islands’ emissary to The Hole to Hide In. Marxist germany will represent XKI in Greater Dienstad and HumanSanity has been hired as emissary to Renegade Islands Alliance.
Other notable regional appointments include Woonsocket, returning as Regional Reserve Chair, with The United Royal Islands of Euramathania being brought on as Deputy Chair. URI will also be the new Manager of the XKI Casino.
By now, most are aware that January saw Nations States featured on a popular subreddit, and the ensuing interest in the game was astounding. The influx of new nations over a 2 to 3 day period was unprecedented in recent memory, and at the peak of this influx, new nations were joining the game at a rate of 4-5 per second.
10000 Island recruiters were at the ready, and despite there being more new nations than could possibly be reached, a significant number did receive the region’s message of welcome, and made the jump to the Islands.
Thanks in large part to the efforts of the recruiting team (and most notably by recruiting guru United Counties of Escanaba) XKI saw an overall increase in population of 223 nations in January; an increase so large, it garnered the attention of the international press https://nationstates.news/the-shift-january-2020/2265/
- In Honour of Chief Executive Markanite’s Security Council Commendation, Taco Island Charities hosted a Commendation Giveaway, where Islanders could commend others in the region for their contributions. Those nominated all received a small Taco bursary.

Congratulations to this year's winner Sargon reman for their work on the new WA Secretariat position. -In the often turbulent and sometimes bizarre world of Taco Island politics, Chief Executive Markanite resigned from the position of Speaker of the Senate, which they’d knowingly held for nearly five minutes. This left the seat vacant, and Hahiha was the clear choice to take up the position, graciously accepting the role, and immediately attempting to raise taxes (although having no authority to do so).

This month’s interview features prominent Islander Mingulay isle, TITO Knight and Tactical Officer, and Nation States player since 2015. Ming was kind enough to share a bit of their history and some advice for newer players to the game:
THX: Let’s start at the beginning: How did you first find Nation States, and, when did you join 10000 Islands?
Ming: I was invited to Nation States by Lennia when they were just starting Oatland back in 2015. I didn't join XKI until 2018. So I'd already gotten my feet wet in NS, being involved in Forest, Oatland and others.
THX: Can you expand on what you mean by ‘getting your feet wet’?
Ming: I started branching out into regional gameplay pretty much immediately with Oatland, basically designing its government system, and in the general assembly, where I participated as its delegate.
THX: How do you find life in XKI since moving here?
Ming: XKI is a region where you can experience nearly anything NS has to offer, be it debate(real stuff or WA), military gameplay, or regional events. We even have a regional economy. That was
appealing for me since I like diving into as many aspects of NS as I can.
THX: What drew you to Defending?
Ming: I was always a defender at heart, but it wasn't until the LWU coup on Lazarus that I started engaging in R/D gameplay, first independently, and later as a member of TITO.
THX: What is your most notable deployment since joining TITO?
Ming: Definitely the liberation of The East Pacific last year. After LWU's coup in Lazarus I hoped that GCRs, their embassies, and defenders would take lessons from the failures there, but I didn't expect that the next year I'd not only take part in the interregional response, but champion it as a commander in one of Nationstate's most prestigious military organisations.
THX: I note that your national animal is the boar, and a boar also appears on your nation’s flag, what's the significance?
Ming: Well, boar are a recurring theme in Scottish symbolism, and Mingulay Isle takes inspiration from the real world Mingulay island in Scotland. Boars are also often a symbol of strength, tenacity, and ferocity, which suits a nation created for defender gameplay.
THX: Any advice for players just starting out?
Ming: Do your homework and don't be afraid to ask questions. NS has great depth of gameplay and a rich community. There's a wealth of guides, and plenty of experienced players to help you navigate it. Take full advantage of that.
NewTexas, Edge calibur, and PR In Space
The American education system mentions nothing of the atrocities committed under communist regimes. There is extensive instruction on the evils of fascism, but no context behind why the West was so adamant on containing the spread of communism. People go through school learning the Cold War was only about political influence and monetary gain, so they don't understand why older people are horrified by the youth openly embracing socialism and Marxism.
If you ask me, I think this lack of context is by design.
Socialism does not automatically equal Communism. In student teaching we went over the Communist rise in China, so it is taught.

On a totally related note, since it's Galantine's day time to watch the Parks and Rec episode.

Yes it does. One way or another, eventually a socialist society is going to collapse into a totalitarian, central control, communist government. There is no other way it can go because humans cannot be stop being human.
This is because eventually there will be far more takers than makers. A socialist government encourages people to take and discourages production. It rewards those who take from the system and penalizes those who are actually producing something. In fact, the more one produces, the more they are penalized. The people that actually move production and technology forward are squelched. Innovation dries up.
More and more people start taking and stop producing. Mainly because there is no reason to work any harder than the government requires. Anything above and beyond is taken from them.
Those people whose initiative survives government oppression will take their efforts overseas or underground rather than continue to work for little or no profit.
Never forget that government produces nothing. Everything government has it took from someone else first. As society's producers either stop producing and start taking or take the fruits of their labor underground, the revenue flowing into the government treasury begins to dwindle. To make up the inevitable shortfalls, the government raises taxes until it becomes painfully obvious there is nothing left to take. At that point, the government drops all pretext and takes business and property from the people. History tells us this usually starts with the farms. This happens for the good of the people and the government will tell everyone so. They will tell the people this had to be done because the people have to be fed and those bastards that own those farms insist on being paid for the food they produce. That paying the farmers thing is a problem because no one has any money. The government took it all.
And it all goes down the crapper from there. A perfect example of this phenomena is going on right now in Venezuela. Just read the papers. Even the New York Times has to admit Venezuela is pretty much screwed now.
Take a look at the Scandinavian socialist paradises. They are slowly sliding down the tubes as well. In most cases the GDP in those nations is at best flat, more then a few are in decline. Business is fleeing those nations where they can and failing where they cannot. Capital left the nations for greener pastures and none is coming back in. Investment in new business is gone. Existing business is merely existing. There is almost zero investment in durable goods. More and more residents are finding ways to join the dole through disability claims, very early retirement, etc, increasing the strain on already strapped government treasuries. Between income tax, property tax, ad valorem taxes, license plates and other regulatory fees, those residents still actually working pay more than 55% of their earnings in taxes. That figure doesn't include the hidden taxes paid along the manufacture and distribution chain.
Never forget before government can give you anything, it has to take it way from someone else first.
Socialism is doomed to fail because eventually the government runs out of other people's money.
Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen of Texas!

When is Singles Awareness Day 2020?
Singles Awareness Day is February 15th, the day after Valentine's Day.

Send yourself flowers, or chocolates or that singing telegram you've been curious about
Make sure to do something nice for yourself today. Would those flowers brighten your office? Why not splurge on an extra long lunch with other single friends? It's your day!
Throw a mix-and-mingle party
Many singles would absolutely love to meet that right someone. Why not throw a mixer for you and your single friends? Who knows what could happen?!
Write an appreciation list for yourself
Take a moment and list at least 10 things you appreciate about yourself—you're paying your own bills, you went to yoga class today, you're crushing it at work. Chances are, if you're loving on yourself, in short order, others will be too
Why We Love Singles Awareness Day
You meet more people on your own
Whether it's because you're more willing to put yourself out there, or people are more willing to talk to someone on their own, being single often means you are meeting lots of interesting people, wherever you go.
You have the time to become the best version of yourself
You often have time on your hands, as a single person, to read books, develop a hobby, deepen friendships—and yes, even go on dates. The thread running through all these activities is that you get to know who you are, pretty well.
You can do what you want, when you want to
What do you want to eat tonight? Where would you like to vacation? Is it ok to splurge on those jeans you've been eying? When you're single, you can do what makes you happy. No compromises necessary.

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****
Guess what time it is! It is Saturday Texas Breakfast Time again! In keeping with the big holiday yesterday, we will be serving up belated Valentine's Day Saturday Breakfast! We will open with Big Bad Heart-Shaped Waffles! These really cute, buttermilk yumm-yumms are sweet and yeasty and excellent for holding melted butter and syrup. These warm, crispy gems are the perfect way to show your lover that you love them so much that you want to eat their heart, with syrup no less. Or, we have fresh-sliced strawberries and whipped cream if you want to wow them. Want to really sex it up? We have Sweet Cherry French Toast! Sweet, golden brown French Toast is served up with whole pitted cherries cooked down in orange juice and sugar to make even your sweet blush. Like things a little spicier? Well, spice up your love life with Eggs Benedict with Jalapeño Hollandaise. This will make your morning memorable with that little extra kick only jalapeños for breakfast can provide. Not into the hot stuff? No problem, ham and egg and asparagus crepes are just what Doctor Love prescribes for your loved one's delicate palate. Nothing says love like asparagus. The Juice Bar is open with all the standard juices - Orange, Apple, Grapefruit and Tomato. For today only, we are serving complimentary Mimosas and Bloody Marys. And, if that is too pedestrian, today's Funky Selection of the Day is Prickly Pear Cactus & Strawberry Slushie! Try "The Suicide" - all of them, in one glass - we dare you! It doesn't get much better than this! Start your day off the right way; munch out and go back to sleep. Of course, The Never Ending Urn of Coffee is full and ready to help you wash it all down. Texas coffee doesn't get any better. Enjoy Texas! You know you want to!®
***** Texas Chat Reminder *****
The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday***. And, if you can't be there right at Noon, that is Ok, Texas Chat usually runs 3, 4, 5 hours with some Chats running as high as 7 or 8 hours.
The Texas Chat Site is here: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php
Please register with your nation name. This is a great opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, we debate, we talk about the weather, we talk about stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff and more stuff. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and talking about the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates at the moment. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. It is Texans, EuroTexans, WannabeTexans, ex-Texans, and plenty of Friends of Texans. We have it all and all are welcome. Texas Chat, 776 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 15½ years! Check it out! Good stuff!

I've ridden on both of those. As far as I'm concerned, they are worth every penny.
Trivia: President Trump wanted to park both of those VC-25's and the smaller versions of it in favor his own airplane, which he panned to operate at his own expense. After being told about security concerns, the military command deck, and some of the more unique "options" that come with those airplanes, he agreed it is best to stick with the Presidential aircraft fleet.

Vincent's Sunday Surprise Beverage Bonanza
Howdy Dudes and Dudettes of Texas!
Today’s Sunday Surprise Beverage is the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Jell-O Shots cause Friday was Valentine’s Day! I’ve sliced off the tops and tips of a lot of strawberries and then leveled them so they can stand up on a flat surface. I then gently scooped out the inside of each strawberry with a small melon baller and created many "shot glasses”. Next, I dipped the hollowed-out strawberries in chocolate and place them cup side up on baking sheets and refrigerated them for about 10 minutes.
During those 10 minutes, I made the Jell-O filling: In a large bowl, I whisked together Jell-O and boiling water until the Jell-O is completely dissolved. Then I added strawberry juice created from blending fresh strawberries and whisked the mixture to combine the Jell-O and fruit juice. I carefully poured the Jell-O mixture into the strawberries I’ve prepared and refrigerated them for 3 hours. Finally they're removed from the refrigerator and served to y'all. :D
So I’ve done all the hard work and all y’all have to do is enjoy as many of these Chocolate Covered Strawberry Jell-O Shots as you like!
I hope y’all enjoy today’s Sunday Surprise Beverage Texans. Yeehaw! :)
Vincent
Edited cause I misspelled baller as baler and I just noticed it. Yikes!

I snuck on board when no one was looking. Ok, I can see you are not buyng that.
Part of my job was to work for the White House Travel Pool doing satellite transmission for the big five US television networks. I went to Iraq with President Bush on Thanksgiving, 2003. Made the trip again with the President, Secretary Rice and Secretary Gates in 2006 or 2007. As it happened, those trips were spread out over both of the 747's.
A non-alcoholic Jello Shot™. Who knew?
