"Summertime" by George Gershwin, written as part of "Porgy and Bess" in the 1930's. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong did a really good job of reproducing the original. Far better than more recent "Italian operaized" versions of it.

So... Good old fashioned blues not your thing? I edited some road video together using Joe Satriani's "Summer Song." (Not this YouTube video.) That kind of sums up summer on the road for me. In my mind it is probably one of the best summer songs out there.
