Would any of the following be acceptable:
Bell 47, 206, 206L, 222, UH-1 or UH-1N

How about the beastly UH-1B?

Go Grape!

There's an open barrel on the Patio, it's yours. I had to hide it from the Klingons.

Fort verden that's for enlistees in the US Air Force. You have to be a commissioned officer to be a pilot, even the drones. There's been a clamor to bring back Warrant Officers but I doubt that will happen.

Quadruple Bingo. :)

well we could form a squad of misfits just like in the game Bad Company. "We go in first because were expendable.....wait what?"

I can call you Verner, but if I'm tagging you in a post instead of quoting I have to use your nation's name.

Today is a sad day as Northern Kentucky legend Jared Lorenzen died at age 38. Also known as the "Hefty Lefty", he was the backup quarterback for the Giants in 2006 and 2007. He also holds many Kentucky passing records, starting from 2000 to 2003.

Yep, way too young. I remember the Hefty Lefty. Also lost Chrysler king Lee Iacocca today. Right or wrong, these two will be linked by dying on the same day. Kinda like Johnny Cash and John Ritter.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who remembers Lorenzen. He really packed on the pounds (was at like 500 pounds at one point), and started losing weight. Sadly he couldn't do enough in time to save himself. Really sad.

I won 4 cards? Cool! I’ll have these cards as my prizes please. Thanks in advance:

From Fort Verden: Cromulent Peoples, Kherkov
From Little Thranduil: Oreor, Roma Imperium

I've got time in one of those. But it was converted to civilian use. All the armament, rails and fire control systems were removed. This one ended up in the service of a sheriff's office. I did some part time fill in flying for that department. Avalanche control is a kick in the butt from one of those.

Bloodsucking kittens? I think I have one of those in the house right now.

Fort verden wrote:“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other b****** die for his.” - George S. Patton

Gig Em Buddy, based on the words of General George S. Patton which I have quoted above, expendable should NOT be a word in any soldier’s vocabulary. Nyah ha ha ha! :)

That's kind of the way I looked at it. I think I would have liked serving under Gen. Patton.

Fort verden wrote:By the way Trecdom2 AND Issues Test Bed, please call me Verner or Buddy instead of Fort verden. That goes for everyone else too. Nyah ha ha ha! :)

I can do that, but then it will not show up in your notifications.

Some folks tried to "draft" Iacocca to run for president. I remember an interview where he said words to the effect of, "Run for President? And have you guys crawling through my closets? I don't think so."

He also stood firm with the UAW while rescuing Chrysler from oblivion. One of the few auto industry executives that went rounds with the unions and came out ahead. He told the unions that he had jobs for them, but at his rate, not theirs. If they wanted the work, they were welcome to take it, but that was all Chrysler would pay.

He was a man of great wisdom and strength. I am certain he was devastated to witness what Obama and Company did to the company he saved.

Happy Fourth of July Texas! Here's hoping you have a fun, safe and BBQ-filled 4th! Cheers!

Anybody doing anything fun this Fourth of July? Our Fourth tradition is to watch the movie Independence Day. We picked up Independence Day: Resurgence cheap a while back and still have not seen it, today could be a good day for that.

I watched the sequel a month or so ago. It wasn't as good as the original, but I thought it was decent.

Gotta love the irony of getting a telegram sent to WA members that is also tacitly anti-WA. Not to mention that they couldn't even be bothered to spell-check their own message. It's quite laughable.
