That's awful. :(
Thanks for answering my question.
I'm happy for you cause I don't want anyone I know to lose their job.
Yucks!

We voted Against on Verner's Poll because the United States of America is still a free and capitalist-based economy. If peeps, or parents of little peeps, do not want to pay for loot crates to win, they should not play that game. Let the market dictate whether a game survives with that business model or not. Legislation not required.

I voted For the Protecting Children from Abusive Games Act on Verner's Poll because I believe this bill is a step in the right direction. It targets predatory practices that are meant to take advantage of kids. However, laws and policies can be enacted to protect kids but their irresponsible and negligent parents can buy the games for their kids and allow those kids to use their 18+ non-restricted accounts. One thing I know for sure: “loot boxes”, “microtransactions” and “pay to win”, etc. are not legal terms in themselves so they will have to be defined in the bill. The exact definition of it determines what games will be affected and how.
Good morning Texans!

Thank you buddy!
Nyah ha ha ha!
Big Tex my Buddy! I never expected this argument from you but your statement is logical.
Logical statement as well buddy. But not all parents who bought games and paid for microtransactions for their minor children with their hard earned money are irresponsible and negligent. My beloved wife and I have always checked out every game our three sons expressed their interest in before allowing them to play the games. As responsible parents, we decided we would try out the games first and the games that we find to be unsuitable for minors for any reason will not be played by our sons. As for buying loot boxes or other in-game items, it pains me to spend my hard earned cash on these items knowing that my sons might no longer be playing the game next year. But I wanted to give my sons the happy and memorable childhood that I never had and my heart overflows with joy when my sons are happy. Therefore I was willing to pay for my sons’ in-game purchases within a monthly limit of one hundred dollars per child. They usually never spend that much and the unspent balance does not get carried over to the next month.
Anyways, I support this bill for several reasons:
Firstly, if it passes, parents will no longer need to spend their hard earned cash paying for microtransactions in games for their children.
Secondly, those parents who were unwilling to pay for their offspring’s microtransactions no longer need to worry about their children using their credit cards to pay for it without their permission.
Thirdly, game developers and publishers will no longer be able to target minors and intentionally exploit them as a sort of “cash cow”.
Fourth, I personally dislike any microtransaction which does not provide enough details as to what is being purchased such as loot boxes with random and unknown item(s) within them.
Last but not least, in my opinion all loot boxes should be an in-game reward (for example for completing a quest) instead of something which actually requires payment of real world currency to obtain.
Oh God!

Tortilla Chips won the Snacks Bracket? Congratulations to it! :)
And good luck with your Double Bingo. :)
Trecdom2: Dude I’m glad you’re still employed too. I don’t want anyone to lose their job whether or not I know them cause it sucks when people lose their job.
That's disgusting! I can see why you threw them at the enemy now. :p
Okay Dude.
Dad, I never knew that’s how you felt about spending your money on virtual/in-game related items for me and my brothers.
I love you Dad! *Hugs Dad*
But owning these items aren’t really necessary for me to be happy or to live a good life. So I won’t ask/beg you to buy me any in-game/gaming related items anymore cause I don’t really need them and you’re right about them being a waste of money.
I know legislations like this are created to protect minors like me but I’m voting Against cause I think it’s the parents' job instead of the government to control their kids' online game spending.

You did a good job with the redesign but I prefer the colorful old dodo bird on your previous flag buddy.
A Double Bingo? Nyah ha ha ha! I would like to see that buddy! Best of luck to you.
<<Hugs son in return>>
Oh God! My favorite son, firstly I should have taught you, your brothers and your Mom to use spoiler tags. Secondly, you could have shortened your post if you had told me this in person instead of posting it here on this RMB and your words would have been music to my ears. From now on, whatever you could have said to me in person, I want to hear it from you instead of reading it somewhere including on this RMB. Furthermore, I never said it was a waste of money. I always said: The money could be better utilized elsewhere.
Son, I agree with you on this and I have been doing that since the three of you discovered the world of online gaming. Nyah ha ha ha!

I would like to thank you all for praying for my recovery. :)
Have an absolutely fantastic day everyone!

Regional Poll: Are you FOR or AGAINST the Protecting Children from Abusive Games Act?
I'm voting FOR any law that protects me and other underaged youngsters from anyone who wants to take advantage of us.
I don't completely agree with you Bro. The parents and the government must work together. It works better if the parents control their kids like you said and the government protects the kids too.

I'm with Big Tex on this one.
I like your flag. It's better than mine. :)
In my other nation Gilleadavia, I got this issue:
A Petty Issue
Your cousin’s adored pet Gryphon has died.
I voted this option:
“No need to bury the wee beastie!” yells eccentric special effects expert Rebecca Freedom. “I’ve been playing around a lot with taxidermy and animatronics, and I reckon if we fix up damage to the bodywork, apply some preservatives to stop the rot, install some motors and simple AI subroutines, and the little critter will be good as new! Also, why stop with pets? You miss your grandma, right? Let my company work its magic, and look who’s back!”
Result:
It's usual for grandparents to stay in the family home with their descendants but younger children are often frightened of them.
So the dead animals and people in my nation have been turned into Frankenstein’s Monsters? Yikes! :p

Looks like it's going to be Halloween all year round for everyone in your country. :D
I'd like to go next if possible. I have a poll idea that's been brewing in my mind. :D
Nice flag. Here's a page full of flags that might help you be more creative and give you flag design ideas.

I am fundamentally opposed to the bill Sen. Josh Hawley (Fascist - MO) suggests. His bill is all about making government the parent and removing the burden of responsibility from the consumer.
Frankly, I think the best time to learn one's life lessons is early in life, when those lessons are cheap. Better some youngster learn what can happen through making bad decisions by losing a couple months worth of allowance, then losing the house and family betting on the Detroit Lions.
The senator's ignorance of the new technological realities of this time and place in history are beyond belief. But don't take my word for it, read the man's own words:
"Social media and video games prey on user addiction, siphoning our kids' attention from the real world and extracting profits from fostering compulsive habits. No matter this business model's advantages to the tech industry, one thing is clear: there is no excuse for exploiting children through such practices," Sen. Hawley said.[1]
Yes, some people obsess over and may even be psychologically addicted to social media and online gaming. But those few probably have lots more going on than that. My guess is the social media "addiction" is just a symptom of something else.
If we use the Senator's view of reality, we should close all the liquor stores and ban chocolate.
The lessons that Prohibition gave us in the 1920's are lost on this clown. I find it hard to believe the man is a Republican.
Lastly, creating games, then running and maintaining the servers and bandwidth that allow us to shoot each other from opposite ends of the continent requires pallet loads of hundred dollar bills. These games have to monetized or they would not exist. Sure, crowdsourcing and open source community development might be able to write some really good games. But without that infrastructure of multiple mirrored servers across the nation (or around the world), tied together with dedicated fiber circuits keeping them all in the same time frame, real time MMPOG shoot 'em ups are not going to work.
That costs money. Lots of it. And it is a recurring cost. Someone has to pay for that.
If this moron gets his way, the business model will change. All the games will go to a flat fee, probably a lot higher than World of Warcraft's $15 a month. (I think that's what they charge, anyway.)
The good news is that most of the news articles I read indicate this bill will not even make it out of committee.

Hi everyone!
Your flag is simple but beautifully done. It could still be improved upon.
I love you my lord. A belated Mother’s Day dinner is nice but all I need is for you to return home alive and well so we can live a normal family life again. *Hugs and kisses*
I look forward to the lesson on how to use spoiler tags my lord.
Give our son who is you favorite heir a break my lord. You yourself replied to Vincent on the boards too. *Gigglesnort*
Some people have strong constitutions. Raw and undercooked food could cause food poisoning, and if it tasted almost as bad as warm vomit, I’ve no idea how or why it was produced and supplied as food. *Gags*
Meep! Baby, I'd be scared to live in that country of yours.

Good idea and thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with any craft breweries so someone else will have to create that poll. I've got something else planned.
My poll is up. I wanted to make a Halo games poll. There's only 12 options so I've omitted Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition since It's a high definition remake of Halo: Combat evolved.

Ladies and Gentlemen of Texas!
I have great news! The type of news that fills my heart until it overflows with so much joy that my heart feels like it is going to burst with joy. I was finally discharged from hospital yesterday night!
I feel much better than I felt when I was discharged from hospital after my first heart attack. I do not feel lightheaded and one step away from collapsing or passing out. This is a good sign to me and I would like to thank everyone in Texas from the bottom of my still recovering heart for praying for my health and recovery.
Prior to being declared fit and healthy enough to be discharged from hospital, I was subjected to a final round of diagnostic tests. The check ups began immediately after I had eaten my breakfast and lasted for the entire day.
Therefore, my apologies for not posting yesterday’s Bingo location and here it is:
Thursday, 16th May, 2019
Yesterday’s location to strike off was: Palmetto State Park,
