I plan a trip to North Texas. I hope to meet nice people.
I find east-Java (like ijen, baluran national park, bama beach, Alas purwo or for those who like sports Mt. Raung (a 2 weeks hike). I should buy a lot of White coffee like 1000 pieces, that stuff is even better then Kopi Luwak.
Friendly people, but to poor to learn English. Just buy a Lonely Planet for the important phases and show the Indonesian translation. That works fine.
Also, I recommend to fund a hotel in the mountain (colder and silent) far from the noisy mosque or buy earplugs.

Better than Kopi Luwak? No, really? We have never heard of such a thing. While we are still saving up for our first cup of Kopi Luwak, it is supposed to be amazing despite how the process sounds. When we wish to "go big or get out" on coffee, it is always a toss-up between a Kona or a Blue Mountain. We have always stuck to Central/South American coffees versus Java/Sumatra/Indonesia or the Africans. Tell us more about the White coffee.

In a massive rumble between the hotrodders of Hotrodia and the flyboys of El pat, the seven-time #1 Flyboys were dislodged as The Most Rebellious Youth in Texas by the Hotrodders. Guess that just goes to show that a tire iron hurts more than a seat cushion floatation device. Don't discount the NewTexas hellions, they are up about 5 from last time!

Actually I do, this is one of the few times I'm filling in for the content area I'm certified in.
When I was in high school someone had the profoundly bad judgement to sub an English teacher into our chemistry lab. That day is still a high point among my academic memories.
It is so rare to get subs that do have the requisite content knowledge.
And that IS profoundly bad judgement. Wow.
It is rare that the substitute is certified in the class they're filling in for.
It could be the school didn't have a sub for the chemistry teacher and so they had other teachers fill in during their prep period. That's how you ended up with an English teacher
I've had it happen before. The other day they couldn't find someone to fill in for our English teacher, so we ended up with the Librarian instead.

In 4 years of HS, we had like 3 days with substitutes. Very rare occurrence. And, nobody ever substituted for the foreign language classes.
Substitutes are actually semi-common around here. My Math teacher was on maternity leave for 6 weeks to start the year and my English teacher has missed 3 days this year alone.
in other news, it's almost like some local teams are having a major Renaissance in the College Football World. Kentucky is #18 in the country at 5-1 and now we have Cincinnati making an appearance at #25 as well at 6-0. This feels like some crazy dream.
