The After Nuke party for our allies has finally started.

Check out the WA's latest resolution: Greenhouse Gas Cap And Trade Program

It seems they want to implement Al Gore's carbon exchange and force it on us. I recommend the WA nations hear vote against this nonsense.

In the meantime I am ordering all the cattle and dairy producers in my nation to begin feeding beans and cabbage to the all their cattle in order to step up their f... methane production.

The Red River Rivalry should be pretty good this year. Go Longhorns!

P.S. I'm actually a Tennessee fan, the other UT.

**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Greenhouse Gas Cap and Trade Program
A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Category: Environmental Industry Affected: All Businesses - Strong Proposed by: Ransium

The World Assembly,

Convinced that the preponderance of scientific evidence shows that some 'greenhouse gases'"...

<see the General Assembly for full text and to vote>"

Synopsis: The General Assembly, through help with our friends in Forest, is attempting to lessen or prevent global warming through the threat of fines and itchy sweaters and extensive WA monitors. It all feels very invasive despite assurances that it is not. It also feels like a strong impact on businesses. This ambitious Resolution means well, but with only 14% of The World being in the World Assembly, we think the impact will be negligible. Two Stars. NewTexas will go on record as AGAINST on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was up on the last GA vote -- Convention on International Oil Spills -- which was passed after gaining 74.6% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 4 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 3 FOR and 1 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were almost unanimous.

If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All Texas WA Member nations please vote. Please make your Texan opinions known in Texas by 11:00 PM Monday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00 PM Texas Time on Tuesday the 9th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 7794 Votes AGAINST: 1069

Big Tex

PS: Remember, be sure to vote at the World Assembly too!

We take Texas sweet, juicy peaches, coat them in a delicious batter of cinnamon, ginger, coconut and graham cracker crumbs, fry them up and serve them up with a big ol' ball of vanilla ice cream for dipping! And, in the new Texas tradition of having a return appearance, our favorite from last year returns - the Surfin’ Turfin’ Tator Boat! Yehaw, fire up the Tater Boat Cletus! This behemoth is half lobster and half steak, stuffed into a baked potato, topped with cheese, and then generously drizzled with melted butter, baby. Top all that off with a single empress cut lobster claw and a side of lemon butter in case you did not get enough on the first go around. Just take us now Sweet Jesus! We could go on with more offerings, but the NewTexas Surgeon General has informed us that all that is quite enough. No Juice Bar today - that is just too dingdangged healthy! However, in a first, we will be offering beer, ice, cold beer and not just any old beer, Lone Star beer, The National Beer of Texas! ***** Texas Chat Reminder *****

The Texas Weekly Chat Session will be Saturday (TODAY) at High Noon Texas Time (CDT) ***Saturday***. And, if you can't be there right at Noon, that is Ok, Texas Chat usually runs 3, 4, 5 hours with some Chats running as high as 7 or 8 hours.

The Texas Chat Site is here: http://texasregion.net/blab70/login.php

Please register with your nation name. This is a great opportunity for nations old and new to Texas to find out what is going on! We chat, we debate, we talk about the weather, we talk about stuff we like, stuff we hate, random stuff and more stuff. But, it is never stuffy. Usually, it is about meeting your fellow Texans and talking about the latest and most interesting stuff in NationStates at the moment. But then again, sometimes NationStates does not even come up. It is wide-open chatting with peeps from around The World both IRL and NS. It is Texans, EuroTexans, WannabeTexans, ex-Texans, and plenty of Friends of Texans. We have it all and all are welcome. Texas Chat, 709 weeks and running! For the math-challenged, that is over 14 years! Check it out! Good stuff!

I just don't care for Oklahoma. I'm by no means a fan of Texas, it's just more against OK. Besides I'm glad your Aggies joined the SEC.

Well your wish is looking like it's been granted. You know it's funny to see that a #7 AP team is being beaten by a #19 AP team when that same #19 team got beaten by unearned Maryland two years in a row.

Are we gonna have problems if UK wins tonight, Gig Em???

Indian Empire wrote:Are we gonna have problems if UK wins tonight, Gig Em???

Maybe but our defense is like no other soooo good luck.

Well then we're going to have problems because Kentucky is going to win.

maybe when Fisher isn't A&M's head coach they will. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Fisher is the most overrated HC in NCAA

Anyhoo what a game! While I’m not a fan of either team I root for anyone to beat OU, the most overrated team in the country

He's a better coach then any we've ever had since RC Slocum, TBF Kevin Sumlins first year as the Aggies HC was really great if he'd kept every year close to that or at least a 9-3 season he'd still be at A&M but nope.

Gig em Aggies wrote:maybe when Fisher isn't A&M's head coach they will. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Keep in mind this is basically your average 7-5 Kevin Sumlin team right now. Jimbo hasn't really brought in guys yet. Mark Stoops is much more established with his guys at UK and it's largely his work.

Yeah you got a point but I don't think Kentucky has ever played a team like A&M at Kyle Field so them boys better be prepared for some noise from The 12thman.

I'll give you that. Ive felt that way about him since he took over for Bobby Bowden at FSU

That was at least partly stupid playcalling. I probably would have stuck with that wildcat formation before the timeout. I must say, that for a crowd of 100,000 screaming Aggie fans, that was incredible.

Oh, and by the way, I basically lost my voice yelling at the TV during that game tying defensive touchdown. Still feeling that one.

Don't worry I hit my hands on my apartments ceiling fan during overtime.

Hope it wasn't on...

Unfortunately it was. But it was on slow so I still have my hands

I'm glad. Didn't want to envision the nasty cut you would have if it hit your hand on a higher speed.
