I think our poll was distorted by Russian bots from the Trump region. Any reporting of TOS winning will be denounced as fake news. :P

Greetings from the region of Christmas.

I do have a star trek question I was hoping someone could help clear up. In the DS9 episode "by inferno's light" there was a Breen in the camp and I was wondering who this was? After all the only reason for a Breen to be there is if it was replaced by a changling like Bashiir and Martok was which leads me to believe that Breen may have been a high ranking official maybe even a thot. So I then thought of a remote possibility that the Breen changling may have helped bring the Breen to join the Dominion. I know that's quite deep but there's no one else I can think of who would go into this detail.

Personally it's been so long since watching DS9 now that I couldn't tell you a thing about the Breen, other than vaguely remembering their appearance & their being in the Dominion. DS9 is long overdue a rewatch by me. Pure speculation, but perhaps the Breen & the Dominion already had some arrangement behind the scenes, and the DS9 directors were trying to hint at this by showing one in a Dominion camp before revealing their alliance? Well it's either that, or the possibility you stated of it being a changeling. Someone else who has more thorough knowledge of DS9 could probably give you better input than me on this matter.

I do recall the Vorta Yelgrun I think saying I thought the Breen were annoying to Quark in "the magnificent Ferengi" episode.

It was just an unnamed Breen. Most of the prisoners of the camp weren't replaced by changelings, so he was probably just captured at some point from a survey mission perhaps.

So they just announced Patrick Stewart will be returning as Picard in a new Star Trek series, a show that will revolve around Picard & 'the next chapter in his life' after TNG's events. I'm interested.

Galactic Furs and Theenterprise

That would be interesting, though not if it is only on some pay to view platform like the last Star Trek series.

They already had his future, or variation of such, or was that Q playing around? - I have it on DVD

Unfortunately it is: https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2018/08/05/patrick-stewart-play-picard-again-new-star-trek-series/910131002/

It hopefully won't have as dark of a tone as the other new series (which I haven't watched - I've in fact only watched TNG sans seasons 2 and 7 plus season 1 of Deep Space 9, but I just got Netflix so I'll soon be familiar with most of the older series). Also, I'd like new and unique aliens (possibly non-humanoid or underwater), a cast of both familiar and new faces, moral dilemmas, some dark times that progress Picard as a character, and continued plot lines like how DIS and DS9 are structured.

Too bad, waiting for the DVD. Going the direction of Babylon 5? with aquatic and non-human type sentient life forms. All the older series are free on Heroes & Icons Network. May have seen them all and can check out the DVD sets from the library to make sure, and maybe find something missed.........

Whoa.. What am I thinking, that was Enterprise, which did not get a full run, and was cut short. Can be more creative without the need of high ratings...

Are we going for alternate futures?... as the Star Trek movies of recent....

One of the greatest episodes from DS9 was in the fifth season called "Trials and Tribble-ations". It blended in scenes from the TOS episode "Trouble with Tribbles" and it was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award categories and for the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation but did not win any.

Greetings and salutations, fellow Trekkies. Deep Space Nine runs on Raktajino, and in fact, so does my nation. So much so in fact, that it's called Raktajino! I was surprised the name wasn't already taken. Catchy name for a Klingon coffee.

Christmas preparations 2018

by Earthbound immortal squad

Ho, ho, ho! With Hallowe'en over, you'll be turning your thoughts to Christmas! Of course, the little elves have been thinking about it all year, busy making preparations. But we still need a little assistance. Could you be Santa's little helper?

Do you know any good girls or boys that deserve special recognition? If you believe a nation or region you know has made a real difference to NationStates this year, please contact Little St Nick with the name and a few words of why they deserve to be on Santa's Nice List.

Be part of our countdown to Christmas! Send Little St Nick a link to a suitable picture, and we'll put it in our advent calendar. Like last year, each picture will also be flown as a flag above our region for a day.

Saving the most delicious ideas until last - New this year is our Christmas Cookbook. Whether you choose a traditional Christmas pudding, or new sprout dishes, we are interested in hearing your best recipes, and GoodKingWenceslas would like to hear them. So bring us some figgy pudding, and bring it right here.

We'll be bringing you more festive events as the big day gets closer. Merry Christmas!

Whoa, hey hi there. Man, i had a gnarly time beaming thru the force field.

I think most of me is here now.

I should have given out more permissions for the non WA nations to the rights for the region while I had the chance. Founder is long gone again and may never return...?

Sorry about that. Left my job recently & haven't been online much as it's not been the best time IRL. I'll never leave NS but my nation may expire sometimes due to inactivity, happens to me every so often. I'd be happy to transfer founder to somebody more active but the only way to do that would be for everyone to leave & then refound once the region disappears. They should make a feature for founder transfer IMO. Sorry again!
