Koryo’s National Day

Today marks the founding of the Kingdom of Koryo, many centuries ago. Despite no longer existing and even being the enemy during the Taehunian Revolution, all of Taehung owes a great deal of gratitude and respect to Koryo, as if Koryo had not existed, Taehung would not be able to exist.

Centuries ago, the First Koryoan King founded the Kingdom of Koryo. It was a very prosperous nation, until the leaders began to become corrupt, which eventually led to the Taehunian Revolution, the founding of the Kingdom of Taehung, and the crowning of Emperor Yoo. Koryo is known as Taehung’s Official Predecessor. The original King of Koryo still has distant relatives alive today, and are treated with a great deal of respect.

As a sign of respect, in the Koryoan Capital, a parade was held.

Civilians carried colored banners, corresponding to the color of their clothing, marching in formation to make it look like there was a large Koryoan Flag from a bird’s eye view. The same was done for a Taehunian Flag. In the Sky, drones took off, displaying lights that showed the Taehunian and Koryoan Flags in the clear night air.

Bands from the Royal Army and Royal Navy began to march in formation with their instruments as well.

As the formation of civilians reached Lee Jong-Il Square, both formations split up to reveal civilians carrying an actual Koryoan and Taehunian Flag. The flags were held high in the air as they were marched towards Troops who were ready to raise the banners.

As the troops received the two flags, General Son Min-Hee ordered Battalions of Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, and Sailors attending to salute the National Treasures. In unison, they followed the command. As the banners were attached to their respective pole, the Trumpets of the Royal Navy sounded, followed by the Drums of the Royal Army. Then in unison, the flags were tossed in the air in typical Taehunian tradition. The People’s Choir of Kaesong began to sing “The Hymn of Koryo” (https://youtu.be/FudkZGa2jYM), followed by the National Anthem.

Many showed up for this event. Civilians watched from towers, from the stands, behind the railings, on ships, holding Taehunian Flags. Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and Military Personnel saluted the Flags. The Empress and the Vice Minister attended as well.

Following the conclusion of the flag raising, a performance of traditional dances, such as, but not limited to Salpuri and Buchaechum, originating back to Koryo were performed in the Square. Traditional Music, such as “Arirang” (https://youtu.be/f99tZQ8XtGM) was played. Pop-Up Food Stands served traditional Taehunian food. Civilians wore traditional Taehunian clothing, such as the Taehunian Hanbok, which had already been seeing a massive rising trend as foreign attire seemed to begin slowly fading away in the nation. This all comes as a rise of Taehunian National Pride has been noted.

The Party lasted all night, concluding with a Taekwondo Martial Arts Performance by the National Taekwondo Foundation as well as what one man called an “extreme Martial Arts Performance” by Sailors of the Royal Navy.

Election Called
Following nearly two weeks of intense counting, recounting, checking and double checking, the Department of Electoral Affairs announced that Martha Prescott had secured a new mandate backed by a Conservative Majority. The DEA announced the totals were 266 for the Conservatives and 91 for the Democrats. The remaining figures were split between three minor parties; 28 for the National Party, 26 for the Unity Party and 24 for the Green Party. A record showing for all three minor parties and a record defeat for the Democratic Party which has never sunk under 100 seats before. Opposition Leader Alexander Poe conceded the election and announced that he would step down as Democratic Party leader and Opposition Leader as soon as a replacement could be confirmed, Poe will remain in the parliament as MP for Blackpool. Martha Prescott met with King Owen today to be formally named Prime Minister and then took phone calls from Commonwealth leaders who congratulated her on the victory. All minor party leaders attended a private dinner at the PM’s residence at the invitation of PM Prescott in an effort to reach out across the political divide.

New Mandate, New Faces
With the large swing to the Conservatives and the new mandate that Prime Minister Prescott has been given, many are speculating that the government effort to reign in the lax enforcement of federal oversight in the Corporate States will continue as well as a more hawkish approach to foreign policy. Already Prescott has sacked half the cabinet in a surprise shuffle with Penny Moore becoming Foreign Minister, Jessica Albright becoming Justice Minister, Alexander Darling becoming the Minister for State Security. Ambassadors to Sartoria, Mydia, Franconia and Sovyonok were sacked and replacements named. The heads of the military’s various service branches as well as the Chiefs of Staff were all rotated into new people. The Field Marshals and Fleet Admirals were also changed. The shakeup comes as many are suggesting that with the resounding victory, Martha Prescott was levying a wholesale change of leadership within the Conservative Party and within the military brass to prepare for major policy changes in the coming months and years.

Avalon III Gala
Prime Minister Prescott as well as others at a gala in New Haven were able to carry out a semi-live Q&A with the crew of Avalon III as they were enroute to Sorana. The large Commonwealth effort is a couple weeks behind their Valentian Alliance counterparts but the progress has been steady and the limited fusion drive aboard the Pinnacle was functioning well within parameters giving yet further insight into the future energy system. Avalon III has been heralded as the greatest triumph in the Commonwealth’s history as it will be the first time that Commonwealth citizens set foot on another world. Space Administrator J.D. Bullock wished his VA counterpart best of luck and a good landing for their crew. The two missions were set to be in entirely different regions of the planet and they would likely face different and unique challenges only further providing insight into Vesta’s sister world. Support for Avalon III and other space missions, as well as the Union’s burgeoning space industry, were very high and public enthusiasm had only grown since the late 2060s when the Avalon Missions were unveiled to great pomp and circumstance. The 2077 Astronaut Class was unveiled in Johnson City today. The Class of ‘77 consisted of 23 new astronauts with half being military aviators and the other being civilian scientists, engineers and others. Already half have been selected for missions on Apollo, while the other half are expected to join others at the various Antarctic bases and other remote installations for research.

Huangye Sees Massive Development

The city of Huangye has seen its largest growth per year since 2044.

The city has become a major area for automobile manufacturing as well as consumer electronics manufacturing.

It has flourished after the Rebuild Act of 2042, which allowed for more funds to be diverted to Huangye after the Tongku War, seeing as it had taken the brunt of the fighting and had been targeted by all three sides. And even with the increased funds being stopped in 2053, the growth has continued.

History Made

History was made today, as Shizi Dailing, President of the People’s Republic of Trectromer, became the first Head of State from a Commonwealth Nation to visit the Kingdom of Taehung. President Dailing landed at Incheon International Airport, where he was met with Taehunian Troops in Dress Uniform, who rolled out a Red Carpet for his arrival.

The Soldiers line the Carpet, holding their rifles as President Dailing exited his aircraft. From there, he was taken to visit several cultural sites across Incheon. When the time reached around night time, he attended a Banquet at the Royal Palace, where he met Seol Sun-Hee, Empress of the Kingdom of Taehung, as well as Prime Minister Kim Hyo Soo. Day 1 of his visit concluded with a flag raising ceremony in Incheon. Troops held the two banners, marching towards the flagpoles, the sound of their boots shattering the air as Patriotic music from both countries played. As the flags were attached to their respective poles, trumpets began to sound, followed by drums. As the drums instensified, both flags were tossed into the air and began to climb, as the National Anthem of Trectromer played, followed by the Taehunian National Anthem. This marks more history, as this is the first time a Commonwealth Nation’s Flag was raised in this type of ceremony, as well as the first time a Commonwealth Nation’s anthem was played.

Day 2 saw President Dailing meet with Prime Minister Kim Hyo Soo to discuss trade normalization between the two countries, and talks have been promising so far, giving good news to the people of the Amerigan Continents as cooperation opportunities are ready to present themselves.

Kondoji Integration Index 2076

Runa Llaqta, 29 kimsa killa 2077 | The Hansopolian Institute of Social Integration has recently released its latest Kondoji Integration Index, which measures the integration of the Kondoji people within the Kingdom of Hansopol. The Kondoji, who have lived in Hansopol for over centuries, have made significant progress in their integration within society, and this index provides a comprehensive analysis of their progress. The index takes into consideration a wide range of factors, including representation in government, access to education and job opportunities, and cultural integration. Results of the index show that the Kondoji have made significant progress in reducing discrimination and increasing their opportunities within Hansopolian society.

The index found that Kondoji representation in government has increased by 12% over the past five years, and their representation in various industries and professions has increased by 20%. This has resulted in greater access to job opportunities and better representation of their perspectives and contributions.
In terms of access to education, the index found that the Kondoji now have an equal chance of receiving a high-quality education, with their enrollment in top universities increasing by 25%. This has allowed them to pursue a wider range of career paths and has contributed to their greater cultural integration within Hansopolian society.

However, despite these positive results, the index also highlights that the Runa people still hold a majority of financial and political power within Hansopol, with 80% of the nation's elite being Runa. This disparity still needs to be addressed to achieve greater equality within Hansopolian society.

In conclusion, the Kondoji Integration Index provides a comprehensive look at the progress of the Kondoji people in their integration within Hansopolian society. The results show that significant progress has been made in reducing discrimination and increasing opportunities for the Kondoji, but there is still work to be done to achieve greater equality. The index serves as a valuable tool for tracking the progress of integration and for inspiring further efforts towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

Record number of 14 swimmers killed by sharks in first three months of 2077

Aurvnouxra, 10 mvjaso / April 2077 | A number of fourteen swimmers has fallen victim to sharks in the first three months of this year alone, according to the Majassan Institution for Swimwater Safety SKMO, which is more than in the same period of any other year since shark attacks have been documented for the first time in 1954. It is also more than half of the average number of attacks per year, which currently lies at 25.

“There is no reason to believe that sharks are behaving more agressively this year or that people are less careful”, a spokesperson of the SKMO explains, “but the number of sharks seems to have increased in comparison with previous years. We suspect that sharks that used to dwell in different parts of the ocean have decided to come to the Majassan coasts.”

If this is the case, SKMO believes that it is too early to tell if the new sharks may just be passing through or that they are here to stay. “Their original habitat may have become too dangerous for various reasons. Too many sharks could however be bad for the population of other aquatic animals and have a negative impact on our nations fishing industry. Added Magistrate of Fisheries Ms Jextcessoi Tarcnxei promised to keep a close watch on this development, but called it too soon to introduce measures. She did however urge swimmers and surfers to take extra care when going into the ocean.

A New Way to Water

As crops in the FE have no way of running out of water due to immense amounts of rain that drop nearly 5 days a week. But if the occurrence of a drought was imminent, farmers and tech experts at ChipCo have built a new way to water crops. Drones. Each drone can be programmed to water the specific amount needed for the specific crop, though this would only be for berries, melons, and anything that grows close to the ground to a maximum hieght of 15 feet in the air. Expert Marvikta Ong'rouiv was able to test the new tech and it passed all tests with flying colors. The crops tested were açai berries, black forest pepper, pineapples, and camu camu berries. The drones were all able to disperse the correct amount of water in a mist instead of spraying the plant. Prime Minister Fjölden said she will try to have these approved for urban farming as soon as more paperwork comes in from ChipCo to promise not to monopolize the drone industry in Franconia and promise to make more adjustments to better suit an urban environment.

Macrohard and Kiwi both have incredible workers rights and allow unions to be openly formed. Both companies are wanting to expand so it can be cheaper to ship to the Amerigas and will be more affordable to the consumer on that side of the world since the items will also be made in Sovyonok. The factories will be able to be built under the parameters of workers being able to unionize, which won't be an issue. Both companies agreed. These factories will be able to start operations by March of 2078.

Heiden Starts Shark Safety Campaign

Following a massive wave of attacks over the past few months in Majassa, Emperor Heiden has noticed that shark attacks are fairly common along the reefs and coastlines of the FE as well. The Emperor has asked all citizens to not approach the animals, no matter how cute they seem. There are 24 species of sharks that live in Franconia's waters, Great Whites included. The Franconian Shark Directory, a non-profit organization that monitors where sharks are along the 360 degree coasts of the country.

(Heiden): "Nobody can get hurt if they do not overreact when seeing a shark. Sharks go after anything that looks like food [i.e.: birds at the surface, seals, or anything that can agress them]. This safety campaign will be posted along the shores and throughout the Empire. I am doing this because sharks are part of our natural ecosystem and so are you. We keep the life that lives here safe and will keep it that way."

Prescott in Incheon on Return from Trectomer
Prime Minister Martha Prescott flew to Incheon today for top level talks with Taehunian Prime Minister Kim Hyo Soo on expanding trade relations, easing of education and tourism visas and signaling an official reset in relations as the Union led by Prescott looks to the future. The official itinerary hasn’t been released to the public yet but will be once the visit is under way but speculation is rife about an official or otherwise meeting between the Empress of Taehung and the Prime Minister. The mood has been seen as chilly since 2075 when a spate of diplomatic incidents began. The potential for détente comes at a time that Martha Prescott has made pragmatism the name of the game and the Conservative Party’s dominance in Parliament all but assures a smooth reconciliation.

The visit follows that of fellow Commonwealth leader, President Dailing of Trectomer to Incheon just weeks ago. That visit marked the first by a Commonwealth leader in over two years and the first under the reign of the current Empress. The reset has been welcomed warmly across the political aisle in parliament and is a stark contrast to the policies of containment and disengagement under former Prime Minister Oliver Cooper. Prime Minister Prescott made a point during her trip to Trectomer to highlight the strong bond between the two nations built upon more than a century of strong cooperation on multiple major efforts. PM Prescott made no secret that she personally views Trectomer as the Union's strongest ally within the Commonwealth and cited their potential for further development. She also cited major efforts the Union had engaged in with other members across the Commonwealth since her taking office in 2070 as evidence of Albany's long term commitment to projects to better the Commonwealth at all levels with all its members.

Aerodyne Controversy
Following the recall of the P100 series drones by Aerodyne in light of the recent malfunctions, the corporation scored a crucial victory at the District Court of Princeton where the Justices found the dissolution of the Corporate State of Aera to be unlawful and that the reinstatement of the corporate rights of Aerodyne in Aera be restored without delay. The decision was trumpeted by Aerodyne CEO Margeret Dyne and Chairman of the Board Rupert Dyne welcomed the ruling and promised a swift restoration of corporate authority.

The government under Justice Minister Lawson declared that they would seek to appeal to the 5th Circuit Court in Farnhill. Chief Justice of the 5th Circuit Court, Angeline Derry has already announced she would be recusing herself from the court for the duration of the case due to a conflict of interest as she is married to Philip Dyne, nephew of the CEO and Chairman respectively.

Prescott in Incheon

Today, Martha Prescott, Prime Minister of the Union of Albany, visited the Kingdom of Taehung to discuss trade relations, easing of visas, and a potential relation reset with Taehunian Prime Minister Kim Hyo Soo. Politicians in the Taehunian Government from Conservatives, Liberals, Nationalists, and Communists have welcomed the cooling in relations and the hopeful end of diplomatic spats between the two countries, as the diplomatic incidents between Taehung and Albany have not been beneficial to either country.

Taehunian Officials have also not released itinerary to the public as of now, but will do so when Prescott’s visit is underway. Taehung’s News Outlets have been all over this developing story, and many are hoping for a smooth detente.

With President Dailing of Trectromer’s visit being a success for relations between the Commonwealth and the Kingdom of Taehung, and with Kim Hyo Soo, one of the most popular Prime Ministers in Taehunian History, representing Taehung, many are very optimistic about the improvement and reset of relations, and it has also been signaled that Taehung is also willing to meet with other Commonwealth and VA Leaders as well.

It has not yet been confirmed if Martha Prescott and Empress Seol Sun-Hee will be meeting each other this visit.

A Game to Make History

As part of Prime Minister Martha Prescott’s visit to Taehung, a Soccer Match was held at Samhung-Incheon Stadium between Incheon and New Gate. Albanese and Taehunian Fans packed the stadium, and many more watched from home or on a jumbo-tron. The game’s opening ceremony began with announcing the players, such as New Gate Goalkeeper Blake Weyman, and Incheon Forward Hwang Min Kang.

Then, the playing of the National Anthems. The banners of Taehung and Albany were displayed on the field together, side by side for the first time, as the National Anthem of the Union played first (https://youtu.be/H0fl0ESCwPs). Everyone, Taehunian and Albanese, rose to their feet as the drums began to sound. Following the conclusion of the Albanese Anthem, the Taehunian National Anthem played (https://youtu.be/5agzwc3V17E).

Following the conclusion of the two songs, the game began. Incheon and New Gate clashed to get control of the ball, attempting to outmaneuver each other. At the 16th minute, New Gate’s Richard Storees scored a goal on Incheon Goalkeeper Park Gwan-Hak. Cheers from Albanese Fans could be heard throughout the stadium, while Taehunian fans sat on the edge of their seats, hoping to score a goal to tie the match. That would come at the 34th minute, when Incheon’s Son Jong Min intercepted a pass from Storees, and with the assistance of Hwang Min Kang, Incheon had scored a goal on New Gate, tying up the match. The two teams battled hard for the remainder of the first half, seeing many great plays, but ultimately, no more goals were scored in this half.

In the second half, the players prepared to continue their game. New Gate ramped up the pressure on Incheon, and New Gate’s Richard Storees came very close to scoring a second goal, but Park Gwan-Hak was ready to defend, and saved Incheon from getting scored on. The tables turned at the 71st minute, when rising star Kim Heung Park was able to get past New Gate’s defense and score a magnificent goal on New Gate’s Blake Weyman.

Taehunian fans went wild, Incheon was now winning. Albanese fans sat on the edge of their seats, praying for a miracle.

Both teams fought hard, but Incheon’s defense refused to give in, and when the game entered full-time, Incheon had beaten New Gate 2-1 in a Hard fought battle.

Taehunian fans partied in Incheon as Albanese fans awaited their chance to win. It has been announced that another game will be played between Taehung and Albany soon, this time in Albany between Cantor United v. Hyesong.

This game was historical, as it saw one of the first times the Albanese Flag was present at a sporting event in Taehung in DECADES, as well as the first time the Albanese National Anthem was played in years at a sporting event in Taehung. But the most historical event in this game is that this event saw Seol Sun-Hee, Empress of the Kingdom of Taehung, meet Martha Prescott, Prime Minister of the Union of Albany. After years of diplomatic spats, the two leaders now enjoyed a soccer match together, face to face.

Valentian Shipping Company Expansion
Following the completion of a decade’s long overhaul of their manufacturing and deployment sectors, VSC has announced that they are prepared to offer a wider range of options for medium and long haul shipping needs. VSC boasts eighty of the largest companies in the Union among their clients as well as some in the Mydic Empire and elsewhere. Already an order for eighteen new supertankers had been commissioned by Aerodyne, sixteen from Stratus and a whopping forty-six for Elevate Inc. looking to transit their goods from factories in other Commonwealth nations to their consumers in the Union. When asked about prospective partners abroad, Boleyn stated that it was VSC’s hope that fellow Commonwealth members further afield would be willing to invest in the company’s offerings as she noted the company’s long history in the shipping industry as a leader and innovator.

PM Names new Ambassadors
In another shakeup at the top of the foreign ranks, Prime Minister Prescott announced she was naming Johnathan Blake as Ambassador to Trectomer and Stephen Scott as Ambassador to Vekkla. The moves were seen as long coming as the now former Ambassadors in both nations had been embroiled in scandals over the course of the last year. Ambassador Blake is a former classmate of the Prime Minister at EIC and has extensive background in economics and foreign policy. Meanwhile Ambassador Scott has been an ardent supporter of the Prime Minister’s since her first years in Parliament. Both men are seen as uniquely qualified to represent the Union to the nation’s they have been named.

Anti-Piracy Efforts
The multi-month effort to extinguish piracy in the Eastern Straight following the attack on the Philipa and the wounding of her CO, has met with success with the majority of all former Cambrian Sea Forts being destroyed with several being repurposed for tourism by the Trectromerian government. One near the mouth of the Eastern Straight has been occupied since its capture by a contingent of Union Marines who have been tasked with ensuring that the pirates are squashed while the fleet begins its journey to friendly ports for shore leave and resupply. Once the fleet is made ready again it will return to pick up the marines before departing for Albany by May.

Once there an equal number will be relieved of duty to return to Vesta for rehabilitation and reentry into rotation. Expansion of Pyrnissos

The government under the stewardship of Archon Margot Xedes has approved a controversial fifteen year overhaul and expansion of Pyrnissos, the most advanced nuclear power generation facility on Vesta. The sprawling power complex currently houses sixteen nuclear generators with the plan approving doubling that power capacity by adding six of the newly debuted seventh generation reactors. The overhaul will see five of the existing reactors retired with new replacements of generation six being implemented alongside the six new seventh generation reactors. The environmental impact review had determined that the addition would be greatly offset by the ability to close four other sites around the Empire, including the precariously placed Anthea Reactor.

The Anthea Reactor Site is located now one mile off the coast of the Empire but previously was three miles in-land when commissioned in the 1950s. Rising sea levels, decades of coastal neglect coupled with two catastrophic storms that altered the coast further saw the facility need to be walled off and an ever expanding effort to protect the site from inundation had finally run its course and the site provided such power that removal without a replacement was deemed too costly. Environmentalists criticize the government’s decades of inaction but heralded the new agreement on the expansion of Pyrnissos as a step in the right direction by allowing the healing of other areas.

The Empire itself will be carrying out the expansion as the power industry is nationalized and not independent of the federal government under the Energy Ministry. As leaders in nuclear fission and fusion, the Empire has long sought to export its knowledge of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, though the Empire does still bear the scars of the nuclear tests in the past, the Glass Fields stand as reminders of the testing in the heartland of the Empire’s desert.

Diplomatic Wrangling
With the Union and Trectromer making overt efforts to win diplomatic points with Taehung and Sovyonok, the Empire has felt compelled to contest such association with an invitation for the young Empress to attend a state visit to the Mydic Empire at her convenience as a personal guest of the Basileus Leto IV. The visit would be to the Imperial Capital of Mydare and then along the Serenean Coast to the Parthenopian Cities and then north to the islands of Galea and Andrastia for rest and relaxation. The offer of the visit is seen as a diplomatic gamble as beyond economic engagement the Empire has long seen the Kingdom as too far afield to be of much diplomatic interest, especially as the Kingdom and the Union became embroiled in their diplomatic spats over the years.

Rail Technologies Among Partners
With their own domestic electronics boom underway, the Franconian Empire reached out through official channels to inquire as to whether the Mydic Empire could use help on its high speed lines. While the rail lines in the Empire are among the most advanced and most heavily used, the comfort enjoyed on them has waned in recent years as efforts to maximize space reduced onboard space for passengers to have to themselves. That effort has seen more and more Mydic citizens taking to UPost to complain about it, now the Empire’s government and domestic rail lines have sought to bring Franconian electronics companies into the fold as a major overhaul is announced.

The new consumer electronics will bedeck the newest rail lines across the Empire as the various manufacturers in the Empire receive electronics assistance from their Franconian counterparts, marrying the electronics expertise of Franconia to the manufacturing expertise of Mydia. Such a matchup is sure to bring attention to both nation’s areas of expertise as more nations look to fill niches and expand their economic reach abroad more successfully in this integrated world.

ChipCo Announces Release of More Urban Friendly Drone

Fjölden and the CEO of ChipCo are on good terms as of right now. They turned in a statement saying that they would not monopolize the drone industry, in which the FE is starting to integrate with the technology and home goods sector. Earlier this week, Fjölden requested that ChipCo were to make a smaller design for the new watering drone. The Minister of Technology has already approved the design from ChipCo so urban use of watering drones will most likely be around September 2078. These new watering drones will cost about 13 Valentes cheaper than the big one used for rural farming and have a lower range on battery life, but nonetheless they still work the same.

Wild Boar Population Explodes

Wild boars are one of the FE's main attractions on forest tours, but people have been noticing a very large spike in population. The main issue is reproductive rates and lack of any natural predators. Prime Minister Fjölden, going back on her eco-centeic policies, said that she will lift the ban on hunting wild boars until their population is reduced to a safe level. The recent explosion in the boar population means that there could be instances where some may travel into urban areas. If you see on in your front lawn or anywhere near urban or community dwelling neighborhoods, please call your local animal control so they can humanely put down the wild boar. Along with the lift on the ban of hunting the species also comes the lift on the ban for eating wild boar. The repeals that are being presented does not include hunting the species for sport. Anyone caught hunting for sport will be fined and has to show authorities hunting licenses of Class F (government permission to hunt for food in designated hunting zones). If hunting for sport, people will also lose their hunting license and have to hunt for bargains at the supermarket like the rest of us. Judging by no laughter in the newsroom, we now quickly transition into the next story...

ChipCo Offers Elecronics Boost for Mydic Rail

CEO of ChipCo Electric has reached out to Mydic officials via official channels to offer support on a boost in the electronics in their rail cars. ChipCo, the leader in electronics in the FE, offered an array of touch screen and holographic prototypes to entertain the masses as they go about their commute. This course of action goes as the Social Media Management Team of ChipCo noticed Mydic citizens take to UPost, a Mydic social media which is also widely used in the FE. ChipCo is humbly thanking all Mydic manufacturing companies involved and is happy to be working with close allies.

To Mydia

The Mydic Empire’s invitation to Empress Seol Sun-Hee has been met with surprise, as well as open arms. Many are glad that more countries are beginning to welcome Taehung on the Global Stage with open arms now, and world relations are beginning to become healthier and stronger than ever before. Seol Sun-Hee has publicly graciously accepted the invitation, and will begin her state visit to the Mydic Empire when Prime Minister Martha Prescott of Albany’s visit has concluded.

Sovyonok News Program

Positive Reception toward Franconian Companies

Following a review, discussion, and negotiation, both Kiwi and Macrohard, both of Franconian origin, are now fully permitted and operating in the northern province. These two companies are now fully integrated into a new industrial district in Sovyonok Northern Provinces. The smooth negotiation and benefit entailed to every side involved is the most unique and special situation from both companies. Positive attitudes toward Sovyonok workers and their union are important factors, but they are not the only ones. With this and previous collaborations such as with the Trectomerian and Hansopol, the Central Government is now stepping up efforts to become more heavily involved with other nations, and this success is only the beginning of this decade.

Bowl-Job Programs

Two friends have launched the OS BJ, a new easy-to-use operating system designed for robotic competition and tournaments in Sovyonok. The obscene names are a deliberate take of both developer names, Ivan Bowler and Steven Jobs, and are intended to be both form of advertisement and easy to remember. Nonetheless, the operating system has proven to be very popular among those who dabble in robotic competition, whether as a simple drone or a ground-based RC-Car. While the program itself may not be comparable to many other foreign paid or well-known programs, it has been discovered to be free to use and has a suitable community backing it up. The state itself has given it support and hope a new rise of Sovyonok Valley might pop up this decade.

AR Sport?

Another attempt of creativity are being made after the success of Augmented Reality system on the Grand Cruiser Titanik. This AR system are being held in a experimental rig put on Sovyonok Central Universities itself. The main purpose are a creation of an Augmented Reality sport that is both engaging and spectacular as a show. Several idea has been put but as of now the rig are being used as coach helper to improve and gain data of our University sport Team from rugby, football and even basketball.

Insane Tie between Zuqiu and Incheon

Today, Incheon played a friendly match against Trectromer’s Zuqiu. The game started off with the national anthems of the two nations. Incheon gained possession of the ball first, and began to make their way up, but Zuqiu refused to go down without a fight, and intercepted a pass from Kim Heung Park. The two teams battled until the 33rd minute, where Zuqiu’s Li Huo broke Incheon’s defense down, and scored a brilliant goal, making the score 1-0. Incheon had to make up for it, and rising star Son Jong Min would play his part, avoiding defenders and heading the ball into the net, getting Incheon the tie they desperately needed in the 50th minute.

Both teams were now eager to break the tie, and Zuqiu’s Wu Mitoma would do it first, catching goalkeeper Park Gwan Hak offguard and breaking the tie. Incheon fans were getting desparate, as it was the 62nd minute, and something needed to get done FAST. Kim Heung Park would now fulfill his role, running down the field, defenders bearing down on him, looking for support, and Forward Lee Il Jong was there. An opening appeared for him, and it all now relied on Lee, and Lee Il Jong was able to get the ball into the net and past the goalkeeper, a brilliant goal in the 88th minute. Lee Il Jong and Kim Heung Park, saving Incheon from a home defeat. Incheon fans went wild as the game was now tied. Stoppage time came around, with no decisive victory for either side, and full time resulted in 2-2, a tie game.

Trectomer Times

Incheon v Zuqiu

A few days ago, Taehung's Incheon played a friendly match against Zuqiu Athletic.

Both teams are at the top in their respective leagues, which made the match all the more exciting. Zuqiu have had their best few seasons since 2000, and won in all the domestic competitions that they participated in last year.

The match started off with Incheon gaining possesion. Later on in the 33rd minute, Li Huo scored a screamer from outside the box, putting Zuqiu up by 1. Son Jong Min would equalise with an equally impressive goal in the 50th minute, just after halftime. In the 62nd minute, Wu Mitoma would score after a beautiful showcase off skill, dribbling past multiple defenders and catching the keeper off guard. Following a defensive mistake in the 88th minute, Incheon would equalise yet again, ending the match in a 2-2 draw.

Zuqiu's captain, Jiu Jingshen said in an interview after the match " it was a good performance overall, though I think we had more to give and we will look for ways to make improvements." Youngster Wu Mitoma said " I'm very happy to have this opportunity to play against such a good team and i hope we can have a rematch at some point in the future." The players would go on to exchange shirts after the match, while Jingshen would present a gift to each of the Incheon players.

Navy Ship Returns Victoriously

The Cruiser PTS Kuon, along with 5 other corvettes and frigates, have all returned to Gonias for routine maintenance. The ships return after the completion of their anti-piracy mission alongside an Albanese fleet. Naval Head, Jong Dun has congratulated the sailors onboard for their efforts.

Of the warforts in the Eastern Sea, the 2 that were
cleared to become tourism sites are currently being prepared. One of the sites will become a military history museum, while the other will become a hotel.

Marine Conservation

3 New protected coastal areas have been assigned in Qishi Bay. The protected areas will have all human presence removed from them, specifically illegal Trawlers. Qishi Bay is known for its biodiversity, especially in marine areas, as there are many reefs, caves and beaches which sport thousands of species of fish, mammals and birds. Additionally, 4 decomissioned cargo vessels will be sunk as artifical reefs in order to recover lost reefs in the area. Any vessels found in these zones will be forced to leave, and pay a fine which will go to maintaining these areas.

New regulations for fishing have been put in place as well, in order to promote the return of large marine predators, specifically sharks, to the coast of Trectomer. The regulations come as research has shown that many predator species have been migrating to other areas due to a lack of food.

Vekkla News Now

High Income People See Rise in Grocery Prices

Wealthy people in Vekkla are seeing a spike in grocery prices as high end grocers are trying to prevent low income families from shopping at their stores. A recent wage hike, signed into law by Leemm himself, is allowing more people to travel to high income neighborhoods and shop until their pocketbook is empty. What is left for shop owners to do?

(Shop Owner 1): "Those prices were too affordable now that Incomes are rising and the economy is booming. With the retail and grocery industries already hurt by the hyperindustrialization, we are pulling our weight by allowing 'high-end spenders' to spend their money and are raising prices."

(Shop Owner 2): "I don't see any wrong with lower income shoppers. It's getting my name out and my product is now being dubbed 'the expensive brand'. I never thought those words would ever be uttered out of anyone's mouth."

Clearly some shop owners have mixed views on this matter, but all we know is that incomes are going to keep rising and more shops around the country are getting the recognition they need. As stated previously: Why limit customers if the retail and grocery sector are hurting?

Vekkeli Crops Succumb to Illness

Of you think that story was bad news for groceries, it gets even worse. Some Vekkeli crops are succumbing to illnesses due to there being still some toxicity to the air from the Lake Derrkinor Mountain Fire, just a year or two ago. Heavy winds in the Eastern part of the country blew the air through the valleys and grasslands making the air almost hazardous to breathe. The Vekkeli Government said that with ongoing projects to help clean the air, if they were to help move the crops, the high speed rail line would take at least another 2 years to complete. With rising concern about food prices and a possible famine if this doesn't get fixed, Vekkeli Congress are having a conversation later today to vote on whether or not to move the crops so the air wouldn't be so dangerous for the crops. Acid rain is also making the crops sick. When there is a storm system that moves in, the toxic air makes it impossible to allow the water droplets stay clean while falling to the ground. It is unclear when this will get fixed, but expect Leemm to call upon his fellow CN members if he needs help.

Permission Granted and Vekkeli Crop Failure

Taehunian Officials have responded to the Vekkeli request to sell more products in Taehung positively, with permission being granted to expand their business in Taehung.

Furthermore, the Department of Agriculture has offered Vekkla assistance in combating their crop crisis should the need for foreign aid arise. Taehung has also offered to supply N95 Masks to Vekkla while they attempt to clear the hazardous air. Taehunians have been urged to be cautious when traveling to Eastern Vekkla, and have asked all Taehunians to wear an N95 grade mask if they do plan on traveling to that area of the country. No travel advisory has been issued at this time.

The Department of Agriculture is currently enacting a temporary restriction on Vekkeli crops coming from the eastern section of the country, and those crops from Eastern Vekkla will only be allowed to enter Taehung after thorough testing.

Port of Columbia Expansion

Various Ministers attended a groundbreaking ceremony in Columbia today at the behest of Governor Alice Mason of Hudson and Columbia City Mayor Felix Magnite to have a formal event around the official beginning of the major five year overhaul of the Port of Columbia. The city’s port had not received a major expansion since 2005 and was well overdue compared to its sister cities of Lancelia and Galavant which had each received major expansions to their ports in the 2060s. The Port of Columbia serves as the entry point for all commercial traffic into the Great Bay and onto New Gate, Havenport and the metropolis of Montfort.

Mayor Magnite’s speech at the event gave special thanks to the Vekkeli Steel Company and their CEO, Yelvi Alvesiva, for being able to meet the high demand and grade required for the vast project. Union based steel companies would supply the majority but were tied up with various other projects that domestic production did not meet the required amount. Commonwealth partners like Vekkla had benefited from the Union’s domestic projects that had led to ever increasing raw and refined material demand.

Flagship Philipa I Returns
Flagship of the 4th Fleet the supercarrier Philipa I has returned to port after suffering damage to the command tower and flight deck while on anti piracy operations in the Eastern Straight. The vast vessel was escorted into port and seen into drydock by Admiral Elizabeth Fischer who took command following the wounding of the prior commanding officer. The flagship is to be repaired and receive a retrofit to the communication as well as point defense systems. The repairs and retrofits are expected to be completed within two years with the Admiralty aiming to get the ship back into service in early 2079.

Prime Minister in Mydia
Prime Minister Martha Prescott flew to Mydia today to attend a meeting between the two nation’s Culture Ministers at the unveiling of the new Johnathan Prescott wing of the Imperial Archaeology Museum in Paxus. Part of the late PM Prescott’s estate was left to be spent on charitable and philanthropic endeavors including a major expansion that had begun during his life to the IAM in Paxus. Following the late PM’s death in 2076, the estate granted £2.4 billion to the Museum and its efforts. At the event the Prime Minister gave a check with the amount as well as pledging continued donations in the future to such efforts. Media coverage of the event was high and the Prime Minister was expected to continue on to Mydare to meet with Archon Xedes about bilateral ties.

A surprise to many was that the Union was going to formally issue an apology to Mydia for the atrocities of the 2040-2043 Egian War in which the Union attempted territorial expansion in the southern Valentian Ocean at the Egian Archipelago. Prime Minister Prescott had indicated during her reelection bid that the Union needed to face reality and apologize for acts done wrongly to a former friend. Prime Minister Prescott also noted that while Albany and Mydia have never shared a particularly close relationship, that the latter had been Cambria’s foremost ally meant the two should explore deepening their bond again. To that end PM Prescott announced that Mydian citizens would not be required to acquire visas or work permits to travel or work in the Union for up to two years at a time. Passports and other traditional customs for entry would still apply but without much of the complicated and messy documentation required.

Cantor United vs Hyesong
In another shocking twist, additional teams between Albany and Taehung played football. Cantor United, the Union’s #2 team was up against Hyesong the #3 team from Taehung’s domestic league. In a 3-2 match, Cantor United defended home turf successfully while beating off strong advances by the Taehunian team. The match took place in the Cantor United Coliseum which holds 80,000. The jam packed event was followed up with celebrations throughout the nation as the Union saw off the strong challenge. Sports commentators were quick to point to the Taehunian’s as a generally underperforming nation in regards to the sport of football citing international statistics. Such remarks though based in fact clearly had not indicated the potential for growth and any effort the Taehunian national teams were taking to strengthen their efforts in the face of strong international athletic competition.

Commissioner Timothy Pruitt who oversees the National League of the Union cited the thaw in relations as well as interest as a reason why the Union would be offering to extend the Commonwealth league to include the Kingdom of Taehung but that the other members of the league would require unanimity to do so. Commissioner Pruitt cited a desire to expand the existing league to reach new markets as well as to bring additional talent onto the field.

Commonwealth League

Many Hyesong fans have been mostly disappointed from the defeat from Cantor United, but their performance, being able to score two goals, plus third one which was unfortunately offsides, has shown exponential growth by Taehung’s National Teams, especially considering Incheon’s 2-1 win against New Gate. Lee Kang-Sook, Commissioner for the Taehunian National League, has accepted the offer from Albany to extend the Commonwealth league, and asks the Commonwealth nations to “please deeply consider” accepting Taehung into the league.
