Hundreds of counties here in the FE are under extreme heat warnings, with temperatures in the mid to upper 100's. 296 counties have banned fireworks due to this, and the ongoing drought. MP Lea: Yes. We want the people to have a forever faith in government. We want to ensure safety to the people, provide for them as they do for us.

Interviewer: And how would you achieve that?

Rumours abound regarding the state of the NMS Vannelli, whose disappearance and subsequent reappearance is shrouded in mystery. The Vannelli disappeared off the coast of the Soltane Islands two weeks ago, prompting an investigation that concluded early with the disappearance of the naval officer in charge of it. The case was then picked up the the Carabinieri Office of Technical Investigations -popularly known as Unit 16-, whose inquiries were reportedly blocked by the Sartorian Navy.

The Vannelli is reported to be a floating laboratory, though recently it has been stationed at East Soltane Naval Base. While there has been no publicly stated cause for its disappearance, the more sensational stories say that the incident involved supernatural phenomena. The Sartorian Navy has dismissed these stories, saying that the status of the ship is classified.

Blackouts: The ever expanding power grid is taking a toll due to its age and how many customers are using the grid at once. This has called for the government to limit power use in major metropolitan areas. Areas where electricity is the only way you are able to live (i.e. hospitals with patients, rural areas with swamp coolers and mobilized warming units [for the winter], etc.) are able to use the power grid all hours of the day. Your local governments will determine the days and hours of where the grid will be shut down. FEG&E Chair of Communication stated "We are working on the issue. FEG&E is deciding on whether or not to break the monopoly up into separate sections to control a new grid in each part of the nation. If we decide to go that route, then we need special government documents and permits. Until we are able to fix the issue, the grid will be shut down in increments of 6 hours for three days out of the week... That's the only way we can solve this until we have a ready plan."

There is heated debate on the Space Foreign Cooperation Act, a bill currently before the House of Councillors that would allow the Aerospace Service to formally cooperate with foreign space agencies. Elisa Argentero, the main sponsor of the bill, says that its passage would allow Sartoria to expand its cooperation in offworld bases and scientific research, suggesting that Franconia Empire would be an ideal partner in this endeavour.

The bill, which is currently being considered by the House Space and Science Committee, has tentative support from the Privy Council, but still has a long way before its passage is assured.

The Empire and The Empress would be honored to work alongside your scientists and space explorers, and the Sartorian Government.

Do y'all ever want to just fly somewhere and not come back? Just a general question.

I don't know about the "not come back part", but if things weren't so crazy right now (and if I was vaccinated already) I'd love to spend some weeks in NYC on my own, just doing my own thing without having to answer to anyone. I love that city so much.

NYC is gorgeous. I went back in 2016 for my high school choir trip IRL. It's like it's own world.

It really is one of the most amazing cities ever.

Breaking: A heated debate by Parliament today lead to talks of "crossing the floor" by three MP's. The Empress responded and now new laws have been enacted immediately to prevent crossing the floor.

The law states "Should a MP cross the floor, it is Head of Parliament's right to eject the MP and make it so the MP has to run for Parliament for the party that the representative defected to." This law also states that Members of Franconian Parliament have to re-register to vote when this happens. The Government said that they are "in no way telling you or MP's to vote for any certain candidate or taking your right to vote away. Citizens and MP's (under Voting Equality Act FE2133) 'have a guaranteed right to vote and register under any party'. This law is in no way for the public (except for the public who would like to hold government office).

More on this later.

Breaking: A cyber attack on a very big bank today left millions without cash. Over 24 Billion Astrons was stolen from Franconian Neighborhood Credit Union. 62% of the Empire banks with FNCU, including, but not limited to, politicians. Almost all of Parliament banks with the Credit union. 310 MP's left cashless, some with only 10 Astrons in their wallet.

The CEO and Owner of FNCU said "Whomever did this is going to receive a very cruel penalty. FEBI will arrest and will be forced to give back the 42 Billion Astrons stolen from the People. This is a crime to it's fullest extent and whomever is doing this will face severe punishment by law".

Some cashless Franconians are dealing with it full force. Angie Millerton received her paycheck 2 days ago and was about to make a purchase for a car. She checked her online banking and her account was completely drained. She needs it for work to travel. Millerton lives 58 miles from her job and her previous vehicle was destroyed in the Naval Ship Detonation. Her job donated 42,000 Astrons to get a car, and now, she has to take the bus.

The Empress says that she will personally find the person that did this if the FEBI cannot. This might hurt her reputation in the long run, but I think the FEBI has this one.

President Leggièri has signed into law the Space Foreign Cooperation Act, after the final text passed comfortably in both the House of Councillors and the Senate. Following the signing ceremony, First Councillor Bonaventura said that he is already coordinating with the Space Office and the Aerospace Service on possible avenues of cooperation with Franconia Empire and will soon begin bilateral discussions with the Franconian Embassy.

Breaking: The Sartorian Government, one if our closest allies and neighbors, will be working with the Franconian Government and the Galactic Federation, also alongside FESA, our largest space agency, to cooperate with the Sartorian Aerospace Service in both nations' future endeavors. FESA is welcoming SAS and cannot wait to see what kind of work the two Associations come up with. This is a big moment for both nations as it only will keep bringing them ttogether.

FENN News.

Breaking: The Emperial Government is giving FEG&E a grant of 6.2 Trillion Astrons to, finally, update the power grid. This decision comes after multiple blackouts were reported across the country. Heck, some of the grid doesn't even reach parts of the most densely populated part of San Juarez.

Manny Gonzalez, a citizen of San Juarez's East District, has been here for more than 25 years.

Gonzalez: There has never has been any power here, so I have to settle for solar. But because of the tall buildings around me, I'm lucky if I get even 2 hours of light a day.

A citizen (this time on the West Coast) is dealing with a well issue. Her well runs on Electricity and the grid stops just 45 feet from her property.

Woman: I have called FEG&E religiously for the last 23 years. It didn't bother me much until my AI Health Assistant Bot couldn't charge their battery. Northwest Vexto is cloudy mostly, so I can't have them go into solar mode to charge. It upsets me that they have to sleep at my neighbor's home so they can plug in to their bed pod. What if I have a seizure in the middle of the night?

The government announced they are expanding the grid to fill in San Juarez and pretty much where there is no electricity in the nation. Empress Xemptoworth has done it again. This is a really good day for the FE.

A supply vehicle underwent unscheduled disassembly east of the Soltane Islands shortly after its launch from Gemelli Space Center. The vehicle, which was operated by the Sartorian Space Force, was meant to provide supplies for Sartorian Apollo. The Space Force has announced an immediate investigation on the matter. In the meantime, civilian space company Frontiere has stepped in as the contingency provider on record, announcing that a supply vehicle of their own will launch later this month.

FENN:

Unscheduled maintenance has taken way at East Center, San Juarez today. A water pipe burst hitting multiple power lines with water 30 feet in the air. It caused a fuse box fire and made 5,000 some odd residents go into darkness for 4 hours. It costed 53 lives to be lost due to East Center's rapidly aging population's need for a respirator. Air purifiers in the small part of East Center were also off for 4 hours. The population here is massive enough to cause air pollution almost immediately, and all because a pipe burst under the street.
