THE CHURCH OF THE VIRTUAL SAINTS [W.I.P]
Introduction:
Vodyani society is organized as a formal and hierarchical church that worships the Virtual branch of the Endless. As they were saved from extinction by the technology of the Virtual Endless, it is only natural that they in turn worship these all-powerful precursors as gods.

Prayer, recitation, and study are important parts of everyday life, and as study involves ruins, relics, and ancient technology controlling much of their religious activity has pragmatic consequences. Thoughts and secret beliefs are carefully monitored by the Church, and as mechanical control of the "Cloth" worn by every Vodyani is in the hands of the Church, there is little room for independent thought, much less rebellion.

How the Church is organized:

There are many different departments and sectors featured within the Church. However, they can all be divided into four main areas, the first area is known as the Executive Area, this area is responsible for executive decisions such as declaring war and the conduction of diplomacy. On top of this, the Executive Area also has the ability to veto any sort of action committed by any of the other areas besides the Keepers Area unless 3/4th of said area votes against it, but that rarely happens. Another check on the Executive Area's power is that they are known to be incorruptible. Almost all of the people in the Executive Area are Virtual Saints, this means that they have the spirit of a Virtual in their holy cloth. This allows for the Virtual Saints to be like portals which connect the Vodyani to their so-called gods. The Virtual Saints are often more wise and insightful then the average Vodyani, however this differs depending on what Virtual inhabits your cloth, and while most Virtuals are ultra-benevolent and generally care for the people who worship them, some use the Vodyani's devotion to them to their advantage and quickly abuse it for their own malevolent gain, and since the Vodyani are so devoted to their holy cause, these individuals generally go unchecked on Vodyani Society. However, most of these spirits are good folk who generally want to lead the Vodyani to a better path, away from the consumption of Essence and towards the creation of a powerful society that is both moral, powerful and sustainable. But for now, they'll need Essence to try to achieve this future. Virtual Saints generally have St in their name and the spirit's name behind the St. The Executive Area also is the area where the Hierarch's Office resides.
