A draft of the new constitution has been posted.

Catholic ambassador

Merry Christmas and God Bless you. Peace from the region of Catholic!

New terran republic

New terran republic

Merry Christmas Right to Life!

New terran republic

Merry Christmas, Right to Life!

We have moved to new regional forums: http://w11.zetaboards.com/NS_Right_to_Life/index/

Also, it seems the proposal for a new regional constitution will pass; therefore, I am beginning the nominations period for the first election of the Senate. The Senate will be the legislative and judicial body of the region. If you wish to run in this first Senate election, please do the following:

1. Join the World Assembly (page=un)

2. Join the new regional forums: http://w11.zetaboards.com/NS_Right_to_Life/index/

3. Declare your intent to run by posting the following message here on the Regional Message Board (located at the bottom of the region’s main page):

I, [insert nation name], wish to run in this election for the Senate. I affirm that I am pro-life; in general, I oppose the practice of elective abortion.

Then, you can post a short platform to try to convince other nations to vote for you.

The election will begin on January 2. World Assembly members who are pro-life will be eligible to vote. I hope you decide to run.

Thank you for your time,

Ok so we had an issue that seemed like it was hand written in our laws heres what it was and what we chose: The Issue

A monstrous debate between pro-life and pro-choice groups has erupted after a high-profile case of a pregnant woman aborting her foetus because she 'didn't feel like it' hit the tabloids.
The Debate

Stephanie Malik, lawyer for the woman known only as Miss X, says, "It is Miss X's right to choose! It's her body; she can do whatever she wants with it. In the interest of women's rights, abortion MUST be legal throughout the country!"

"I most vehemently disagree," says May Fellow, a pro-life activist. "I'm all for women's rights in general, but what about the child? Does it have no rights either? Abortion is totally immoral and I insist that it be outlawed except in cases of rape, or when the mother's life is in danger."

This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.

"You're not going far enough! Abortion is murder!" shouts Reverend Larry Dredd, waving a placard with a picture of a foetus on it. "God decides which babies live and which will die, not us! The government must maintain a stern anti-abortion stance to preserve the morality of Texoma!"

"Abortion has to be legal if we're going to last as a nation," says Efthamia Yeats, President of the Society of Bitter Old People. "Have you ever thought that with Texoma's growing population of 20 million, we soon aren't going to be able to squeeze any more people within our borders? If we use abortion to control the population, we'll make great savings and can spend the money elsewhere. One child per family should just about do it I think. Extraneous ones can be sold to other countries."

The Government Position

The government has indicated its intention to follow the recommendations of Option 2. AKA the May fellow choice you may also find the issue here:page=show_dilemma/dilemma=136

On the regional forums, Texoma just declared that he wishes to run in the regional election:

"I, Texoma, wish to run in this election for the Senate. I affirm that I am pro-life; in general, I oppose the practice of elective abortion."

We now have two candidates for the January regional election:

Texoma
Prussianempire

Post self-deleted by Texoma.

Happy New Year Everyone, and lets hope in the New Year we can eliminate abortion except for rape and life threatening cases!

Happy New Year! It’s time for a regional election.

In this election, there are two candidates:

- Prussianempire (Texan Party)
- Texoma (Texan Party)

The candidate who receives more votes will become the President (regional World Assembly Delegate), and the candidate who receives fewer votes will become the Vice President.

In this election, the following nations are eligible to vote:

- Australia3389
- Evill
- Geekeria
- Killeraheal
- Lady
- New grong
- Sam duckhouse

To vote, please send a telegram to Olaf ii. Include these two things in your telegram:

1. I, [your nation’s name], affirm that I am pro-life; in general, I oppose the practice of elective abortion.

2. I cast my vote for [PrussianEmpire or Texoma].

Voting is open for three days; it is optional to vote.

I have a question: why does Right to Life need it's own army?

In short, there are two reasons for the army:

(1) To aid other pro-life regions;

(2) To pressure regions that harass pro-life regions.

has anyone voted yet?

Yes.

Sounds good enough for me.

ELECTION RESULTS

Texoma . . . . . . . . . . 1 (President)
Prussianempire . . . 0 (Vice President)

I appoint Lady to the position of Senior Senator.

I thank all of the Residents of Right to Life for voting me into office

You got 100% of the vote! Hahaha!

I just moved here and have a question.
Is your army used to invade other regions? Clearly it would not fall under :
(1) To aid other pro-life regions;

(2) To pressure regions that harass pro-life regions.

(3) Invade other regions and impose your will on them (perhaps should be listed)

The army has not been used to invade any other regions, and no invasions are planned. Thus far, the army has had only one practice mission. That mission occurred in an inactive region (no activity whatsoever in 280 days) with only one nation and lasted about 30 minutes.

Blessed madonna

As a pacifist nation we cannot support the existence of a standing army. A small cadre of defensive guards is one thing....an army is something else entirely.

Only four nations are currently involved in the army. It's not a huge force.

For RtL's defensive guards to be properly trained and able to stand up for RtL's beliefs if need be, they need to be properly trained--which means at least a little experience; and the experience they've had is about an innocuous as is possible to get.

The RtL "Army" is not a raiding army; its sole purpose is political.

The only founderless pro-life region I can think of is Catholic, so if the army ever saw action then it would probably be in defense of that region.
