I only liked the post because there are more alliances coming into power now.
Isn't that something you would want?

It just makes things more confusing:P

How?

More alliances means more independent actions by role players!!!

So far there is the Imperium, Arctic ones alliance, The new alliance by bridgeview, the coaliton, and your alliance.

I dont think 4 alliances is confusing at all.

A maybe surprising amount of people (proper US-born citizens) have problems getting to an ID because they don't live near an office giving them out (and lack a car or access to public transport), or don't have time because they're working several jobs.

There's a growing amount of research supporting the idea that ID requirements have stopped far more legal voters than illegal voters.

The Nation had a voting on a referendum where people are to choose between the stay in CoIN, withdraw or create a new alliance entirely. The third option won over majority.
This lead to the creation of A.R.M.S., a mostly military alliance that still uses means of diplomacy to calm down issues. Then, I asked Whatshisface, and CTE Nations Incarnia, Mili Tactica and Mareyikayn to join said alliance. (that being said, only whatshisface and I are the existing countries in A.R.M.S.)

FREE PRESS RESTRICTIONS LIFTED: MILITARY CRITICAL

The democratic government in Genava has passed an amendment to the constitution today, allowing for non-government sanctioned media outlets to operate within Arcticone for the first time since the Grand Uprising in what for a constitutional amendment counts as a very close (69-31) vote.
"It's high time we recognize that this situation can not exist," said Representative Giovanni Rosenberg from Gunmetal Island, who was among those who voted in favor of the measure. "How are we supposed to have a real democracy if people can't speak their mind about big problems with government policy and engage with the public? Do they expect us just to accept whatever the state-run media tells us? The constitution's position on this is absurd!" This seemed to be the sentiment across most of the nation, with illegally-operating radio networks and news websites celebrating the news and with hundreds of people taking to the streets in celebration in major urban centers.
However, many in the military government and bureaucracy were against the measure, warning that a flood of free-operating press could lead to government gridlock and a weakened and divided nation.
"We've seen it happen a thousand times, before and after the Grand Uprising," commented Lieutenant Air Marshal Makoto Ishioka during a brief interview. "When democratic governments open up the floodgates for free news, sure, there's a golden age of civic participation at first. But the situation rapidly degenerates into politically-charged and monetary driven corporations that dominate the media and therefore dominate human thought, guiding it in increasingly radical and increasingly opposite directions to cater to a market that they develop without consideration for its effect on the national welfare. I sincerely believe that an unchecked media will tear this country apart."
Despite loud opposition, the military command has affirmed the democratic government's right to make this decision and will not use their legal powers to oppose the decision. The Executive Office of Arcticone's democratic government has also affirmed that they will create an enforcement department that will continue to pursue those who "violate the trust of the nation" by broadcasting crucial state secrets on the newly freed media. It remains to be seen how the media landscape will now change.

More on this story, as it develops.

And now, an open letter from from the editor:

"Dear Reader,

ArcticOne News Network is a state-run organization. This much is true and has been true for our entire existence, and we do not seek to underplay or hide the fact that this does impact the way we operate and the way we report. However, it is also true that we have diligently reported all the important news that effects all of us for nearly twenty years. We have been quick to highlight and correct our mistakes where we make them, we have worked hard to portray the full picture of events to our readers and, yes, we have even occasionally criticized the sitting government for their actions or lack thereof, despite the risk. Our reporters continue to work 24/7 and have often risked their lives to bring you the most accurate, most recent news from here and abroad.

In the light of this latest news, we here at ANN sincerely hope that you will continue to see us as a news organization worthy of your trust. Hopefully, we can continue to serve the people of Arcticone for as long as we can in our mission: to bring 'The Truth, Full and Fast', to all citizens even in an uncertain future.

The Independent Journalist Coalition, a NGO that monitors journalistic accuracy and integrity across the world, has rated us with a 79/100, placing us within their "Acceptably Trustworthy" category, even despite state ownership. We will try to live up to and improve this standing for as long as we are able to operate. Thank you for your continued support and your readership.

Signed:
Matt Jones,
Editor in Chief of ArcticOne News Network"

Sirens sounded on Allenton AFB as airmen and soldiers scrambled in the face of a large-scale air assault. All attempts to intercept their forces with the numerous SAMs along the Western Air Defense Corridor had failed, due to inclement weather and the evasive measures of the enemy. However, now the weather had subsided and the ECM measures of the enemy, it appeared as though a fierce missile standoff was imminent.
North Point, as the military capital of Arcticone, was a bastion of air defense. Twenty SAM launchers, ten radar stations, innumerable small anti-aircraft guns, and a well-armed air base defended the city.
A salvo of SAM missiles and flak shot up and out towards the The northern cresent invasion force, as fighters were scrambled at Allenton. Civil defense officers in North Point waited nervously for the order to protect the city itself.

TL;DR: Faced with a wall of pure military might, the loose group of Pulse and Orbital Jets quickly got into a tight formation that would hopefully ensure their safety.

"Oh, wow, they really do have that many missiles" said one Orbital flyer. Ahead of him, an incredible amount of missiles flew, targeting his comrades. Unlike them, he had an Orbital z whereas they had Pulse, which had little to no protection against them. If he could redirect them to his jet, and eject before impact, he could potentially save his friends lives, and lower the opposing force.
"Here goes nothing..."
Quickly, he charged into the group, in hopes of grabbing the missiles attention. Others caught on, and soon bands of 4-6 Pulses with a rapidly flying Orbital could be seen scattered all over.

OOC: This could go amazing well, or fail completely. It's up to you.

Voting is rather important. If you have the choice between making more or less American citizens vote, please take the former option unless there's some really outrageous circumstances.

Of course, voting is important for it is our nation's history. America is the land where everyone (*cough*who is legal*cough*) can vote for who they desire because of their views. That and the Electoral College is really needed now due to such a high population for just popular vote. As an indirect democracy, it is up to the electoral votes to decide who wins and Trump managed to snag away big, important states like Texas and Florida while Hillary got California (as usual). If it was only popular vote, the process would've been more chaotic.
Not gonna lie, surprised when I saw Pennsylvania jump over to the Republican side. Expected that to go with Clinton, Trump has such a way with words and walls.
(Don't know why I'm talking about this. *shrug*)

OOC: This could go amazing well, or fail completely. It's up to you.

OOC: I'm flattered that you placed that trust into me to make the decision on how your maneuver went. I shall now immediately betray it.

"What the hell is that fighter doing?"
"Wait, it's drawing the missiles!"
"Switch radar lock! Switch the radar lock, dammit!"

The Pulse X's maneuver worked. Sort of. Not really. Ten missiles had been launched at the force: before the ground defense force had realized what was happening, four of the missiles had been rerouted and completely annihilated the X. The other six, now guided closely by technicians, moved straight into the enemy force. Two of the missiles missed, three hit the same number of Orbitals and knocked them out of the skies, and one almost hit the airship before it was just barely destroyed by enemy flak. Shrapnel slammed into the side of the Northern Cresent airship, causing minor damage.

"They're too close! Alert Civil Defense!"
(Play this with the battle music: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m3LGopSVju4)
"Everyone, please move in an orderly fashion to the Metro right away! Remain calm, and wait for further instructions!"
"Mom? Mom!? Where's my mom!? *sobs* W-What's happening!?"
"Get underground now, lad! I'm sure she's fine! Now now, don't cry, you'll be alright... Just follow me and be brave for your country, okay lad? We'll find your ma underground. Promise."
"*sniff* O-Okay..."

As another volley of missiles was readied, and as flak continued to streak into the night sky, air raid sirens went off in North Point proper. Children and younger folk didn't remember the procedures and forgot what a night under siege felt like, but the memories of skyrate raids over major cities in the wake of the Grand Uprising were still fresh in the minds of the military command and the older population. In what can only be described as an orderly panic, the citizens of North Point were ushered underground into old bunkers and the tunnels of the modern transit system rapidly. Civil Defense officers in anti-flash gear and steel helmets roved throughout the city in fire engines, shutting down gas lines and preparing to fight fires from Northern Cresent bombings and to alert the police and military to the location of any paratroopers. Lights started going out in the city as orders for a blackout came from the Centre.

"Sir, we need to get underground, now!"
"Like hell I'm retreating! Get me to the command center!"
"Oh for fu- The command center is underground, sir!"
"Ah, right. *coughs* That would make sense, wouldn't it... Take me there immediately!"
"...yes, sir."

Military commanders, led by Air Marshal Ben Rathers, were evacuated from the main complex of pristine marble buildings that was the above ground portion of Military Command Centre and moved nearly five hundred feet underground to the extensive bunker complex that lay beneath. The only lights visible from the skies now were dozens of spotlights searching for the attackers, the occasional Civil Defense flashlight, a Red Cross marker so the enemy could avoid the main civilian hospital (as was required under international law), and the flashes of anti-air munitions.

"This is Sparta One, we are in the air. Ready to engage in approximately five minutes. Banzai on vector 1-9-7, twenty five miles."
"Copy that, Sparta One. Open fire! Birds away!"

A second volley of missiles was launched and screamed into the sky, followed by an intensification of the storm of flak. Only a matter of time until the fighters from Allenton would be within dogfight range...
