I admire your dedication. Your prize is well-deserved.

That's nice.

EDIT:
I just found my own 4th! Coincidence? (This is the only nation where I found 4). Is it something in the Region's water?

Cool. Do you like it there?

Howdy howdy. I've written up a draft for updating our environmental goals in the RRS. Please give it a look, and yell at me for problems or mistakes if necessary, give thoughts or maybe a second. Thanks homies.

Preamble

This document is to update our environmental goals from last year and to be more realistic for Refugia in its current state.

RRS 12. will be amended to the following:

New Year(?) New Goals

    12. The Region defines the goals for both its Members and the Region collectively in the following ways:
    1. Reach an average Environmental Beauty score of 1,100 on or before December 31, 2022, and maintained thereafter.

    2. Reach an average Eco-Friendliness score of 2,500 on or before December 31, 2022, and maintained thereafter.

Hello Refugia! It's time for a World Assembly discussion post. This one is on Crime Victims' Rights Act.

CVRA aims to help victims of crime out by protecting them from the accused, allowing them to hear critical moments of the trial, forcing those accused and convicted of damaging property to reimburse the crime victim, and referring them to support resources.

My biggest issue is probably the very confusing, windy definitions. This is the definition of a crime victim, the crux of the proposal:

Cvra wrote:ďcrime victimĒ as a person in a criminal prosecution who has presumably or allegedly been harmed in an emotional, physical, sexual, or financial manner or has been threatened to be harmed as a result of the criminal misconduct of another who is not simultaneously accused of another crime that occurred as a result from the same occurrence or incident.

Like hello? I think what this is trying to say is "person who has allegedly been harmed in a (list) manner, or has been threated to be harmed due to the lawlessness of another, who is not also accused of a crime stemming from the same incident." It's wonky, though. I can't say I'm 100% for, but I don't think I'm against, either.

What are your thoughts?

Man thatís a good idea the only problem being Iíd probably end up forgetting I where I hid them.

Seems fine, u got my second

Yeah, even for someone with minimal knowledge of WA affairs, I thought the definitions were needlessly complicated, like who Ďthe accusedí is kinda speaks for itself. But despite that, if the proposal does what the author intended and there are no weak points other then excessive and confusing wording, is there a reason to block it?

Have you volunteered with WWOOF before? I spent a couple months working on farms in southern Europe through the program, now over a decade ago. At least at the time, and in that locale, there were tons of places where knowledge of the native language wasn't required. I got the impression that the sort of folks who would want to involve their farms with something like WWOOF, are often the sort of folks who would tend to go out of their way to make the opportunity quite welcoming to internationals. I definitely did come across some places that were primarily concerned with just getting free labor, or were somewhat more provincial than might be expected, but they seemed to me to be the exception. On top of all that, my understanding is that Scandinavia has extremely high rates of English as a second language, so I bet you'd have even more success than my own experience in the south.

World Wide Organization of Organic Farms is sort of a network of volunteer-friendly farms in countries all around the world, and they facilitate making connections between those looking to volunteer somewhere abroad, with farms in the region that will host them. The folks who own the farm, often just a family, will give you a place to stay and provide meals, while you provide your labor in exchange. And you'll have time off to explore and do touristy things, should you so desire. So it's both a cheap and easy way to see places in the world you may not otherwise have a chance to, as well as an opportunity to learn about organic farming from folks who are extremely knowledgeable and inclined towards teaching. I had good experiences with them.

can I roleplay here? or does it have to be somewhere else?

I just read the CVRA proposal and honestly? I feel the same. I do think protecting the victim of an alleged crime is necessary, especially during the most delicate moments of the legal process, but... it does feel wonky. I've seen there's quite a split opinion in this Region, too, so I'm a bit hesitant.

Honestly, I think it restricts the abilities of both the prosecution and defense too much, and can be easily exploited. It feels very loose. I'd support a bill like this if it was clearer, more firm, and a little less open to exploitation.

I am new to all of this stuff, but it also seems to contain quite a bit of redundancy. It's already unacceptable for anyone to harass, stalk, harm, or threaten another person.
