Also, if you have more than 100% income taxes, does that mean your nation will drive you to debt because of taxes?

My nation’s is 91.6%! I don’t mind having a high tax rate if the human development index is high and the money goes to things that improve quality of life instead of the military.

Bottom for sure. If you're exhausted, you don't have to climb a ladder to get to your bed. If you wake up in the night and need a drink, you don't have to navigate a ladder in the dark. If you're injured, you don't have to worry about how you're getting into bed.

I am inclined to say bottom, but only if the top is sufficiently high that hitting one's head is unlikely. I'm rather tall and very clumsy, so it's a major concern.

It depends. The top is more fun to sit on during the day (you can survey your surroundings and it’s just objectively cooler), but it can get really hot up there without air conditioning, and I can’t sleep when it’s hot. The bottom is better for sleeping because it’s more cozy and less exposed, plus you can get out of bed without having to jump or climb down a ladder in the middle of the night. However, the bottom is terrible if there is not enough room to sit up fully or if the person on top moves around a lot in their sleep, and, unless it’s roomy, it’s not very nice to spend time on during the day (which sucks if you don’t have a couch).
