I updated the map now that Padnak is here.
I'm moving apartments in a week so I won't be able to devote too much time to RPing but once that is over with I can help brainstorm some RP's for our region.
I have work for the next two/three weeks so I won't be around much myself-
I will be leaving to go camping tomorrow. So yeah until about next week Tuesday or Wednesday I wont be on.

Basically just claim whatever you want by coloring it in on the region map then posting the new map up here for me to update it.

For the flag, I suggest taking something generic (like the UN flag or maybe the US flag with the amount of stars changed to the amount of nations in the region), atleast until there is a special/specific flag.
How about the EU flag and change the color of the flag and the number of stars?
I also think that Santa Agua's idea is great.
Both sound good to me.
Maybe have a vote to decide?
