I also think that the Yanks are testing more people so it isn't really 1000 times as bad in the US as Canada. Maybe 200 times though.
Still, we are getting closer to the federal government get forced to close down the 4 worst states again. Most of the cases are in a few states and if something isn't done they can spread to other states making things a whole lot worse.
The worst case scenario isn't pretty and if US would be forced to close down everything for 6-8 weeks more the economy would need 10 years to recuperate to 2019s levels. That isn't acceptable so something needs to be done now.
I would suggest enforcing masks, close the state borders for the worst hit states and close down public places like bars and restaurants.
That is a hard pill to swallow but are things that have proven to work. Doing something that is expensive today to stop loosing an insane amount of money and jobs next month.
The really worrisome thing is the upcoming holiday, that is one of those events that could create a mass infection.
Ignoring the problem and hope it goes away by itself is clearly not working, ask Brazil.

I mean, we aren't testing as much because there aren't as much people exhibiting symptoms. You can easily get a test in Canada, it's not hard. I mean we cant just pull people off the street and force a test on them.

The number of people dying in Canada is so small that you currently have things under control anyways. If the hospitals start filling up again this autumn for a second wave that might change but so far, so good.

AoR HoD Elections which were supposed to be held for only 1 day on July 10, has now been changed after a push from GPP so that it is on July 8-10 which is 2 whole days which gives people more time to vote. The AoR HoD Elections will now be held on July 8-10. Please do vote (GPP)! If all citizens of Novus vote, then imagine how high we could rise up, especially GPP because every single vote counts and could gain us a seat.
