Now I'll have to pick up after him.

Do you know the story behind the image at the center of your flag? The crossed beams represent the tunduk, the 'skylight' at the top of a yurt. And the sun surrounding that has forty rays, one for each of the forty tribes of Kyrgyzstan that Manas, their legendary leader, united into what became the Kyrgyz people. Kyrgyz is kirk, the Turkic word for 'forty', and gyz is 'girls' or 'maidens'. I don't recognize the image on the left.

Isn't that the Soyombo on the Mongolian Flag?

Ah, you are correct.

"The Soyombo symbol is a geometric abstraction that represents fire, sun, moon, earth, water, and a Taijitu symbol representing the duality of yin and yang."

Thank you.

(I spent some time living in Kyrgyzstan and think their flag is pretty cool)

I did know but thank you for telling again.

January 6, 1529-

It has been two months since the Northern Sundish under the leadership of "William I" began their rebellion. Since then, the country has been in chaos. There has been a dramatic spike in unlawfulness in the country that hasn't been seen since the War of Four Kings 200 years ago. Killings of Royal officials has become a commonplace across the country. There is much debate as to whether King Edward I can deal with this. The King is described as a energetic person who is a great and fearless warrior much like his father. The King called for a Great Council two months ago where it was decided that there would not be a co-king. The measure was voted down with a 2-7 vote against with the King abstaining. However, the King announced that he would be filling the position of Chancellor with John, Duke of Bedford. He also said the he would be sacking the Lord Chamberlain, Lord Saye, and replacing him with Geoffrey, Earl of Pembroke.

Amid these changes in the Government, the Sundish Earl of Corkney has been busy. Since the rebellion started, he has taken control of key cities across the North. Government officials in former Browzantine Territory have been tried in mock trials and brutally murdered. Any Royal soldier that has been captured in the North have also been brutally murdered. The "King" meanwhile, has been parading around the North like a liberator of the North. The Northerners have seen him as a god-like person as one blacksmith writes," The King shines like the new Alexander. Such a man could do no wrong and do every such thing right. All praise the new King, for he saved us from the tyrannical southern taildogs."

The King has called for a mass mobilization across the country to ruthlessly crush the rebellion. The King has ordered his noblemen to send men to Burwick just 2 miles south of the Jourtren Mountains which separate the two regions. Burwick is to be the calling place and the launch point for the King to begin his counterattack to the rebellion. Before he goes up north to fight the rebels, he must restore order to the heart of the kingdom, the midlands. This has been a terrible strain on the country which has been at a near-constant state of civil war for the past nearly 11 years. The nation is in a state of complete chaos. There are some in the country that question how the Duke of York went from Royal lapdog to enemy of the crown in just three years.

In happier news, today is the birthday of the heir to the throne, Frederick Duke of Somerset. He turns six.

Read factbook

The rebellion has gripped the nations for two months. The brutality of the rebels is exposed and the question of a co-king has been answered. Read all about the latest news from the front lines and more in the latest dispatch in the medieval war-torn Kingdom of Browzantine.

Not sure if this is a welcome back as you have apparently never posted on the Novapax RMB.

Hello everyone!

Just to let you know, I am organising my final main edition of the World Hit Festival as the Overseer. I've been Overseer for a year and a half now and I'm ready (if I'm not re-elected - I'm not campaigning or anything) to give the Festival to the next Overseer. I would like to go out on a bang by hosting a huge edition of the World Hit Festival but need nations to enter!

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=480021 Please sign up here - I'd really appreciate it! Send all your nations if you can haha!

Look forward to seeing you in Izmedu if you can make it
