APRIL 15 2019 DAY OF THE SUN

---

North Korea celebrates the contributions of the late Kim Il-sung guerrilla fighter against Japanese fascism, founder of the DPRK and Marxist revolutionary.

"If we mechanically apply foreign experience, disregarding the history of our country and the traditions of our people and without taking account of our own realities and level of preparedness of our people, dogmatic errors will result and much harm will be done to the revolutionary cause. To do so is not fidelity to Marxism-Leninism nor to internationalism; it runs counter to them.

Marxism-Leninism is not a dogma, it is a guide to action and a creative theory. So, Marxism-Leninism can display its indestructible vitality only when it is applied creatively to suit the specific conditions of each country. The same applies to the experience of the fraternal parties. It will prove valuable to us only when we make a study of it, grasp its essence and properly apply it to our realities. Instead, if we just gulp it down and spoil our work, it will not only harm our work but also lead to discrediting the valuable experience of the fraternal parties".

- Kim Il-sung on "Establishing Juche in ideological work" (1955)

Victory to the people of Sudan! Protests continue to deepen the revolution

The Party for Socialism and Liberation salutes the heroic people of Sudan whose resistance led to the April 11 overthrow of the nearly 30-year-long reign of Omar al-Bashir — and which then toppled his military successor the very next day! Massive demonstrations are continuing to establish a civilian-led interim authority to uproot the old regime and secure the demands of the revolution: freedom, peace and justice.

The Sudanese revolution was sparked by austerity measures that led to huge inflation in the price of essential goods such as bread, compounding years of extreme inequality and the denial of basic democratic rights. Geopolitically, the al-Bashir government had also been moving increasingly into the camp of U.S. imperialism and its junior partners, including Saudi Arabia.

The Sudanese Communist Party is playing an important role in the uprising, alongside other forces that have a wide range of political orientations and social bases. Siddiq Youssef, a senior leader of the Communist Party, said on April 11, “We are ready to talk to the military leaders about the handover of government to a civilian parliament. Since they know that any other solution will be rejected by the opposition, I don’t believe the army will insist on governing. I don’t expect it but in case there is a military parliament established, we will not leave the streets. Our objectives are to establish social justice, progress and the construction of democracy. We reached this point thanks to the experience of our people who kicked the colonialists out.”

After the overthrow of al-Bashir, the Sudanese Communist Party issued the following communication:

Hello, I have heard on a discord server a marxist leninist person saying that the ongoing protest movement in Sudan would be a way to imperialise Sudan in the same way that happened in Syria

I haven't been following the situation there unfortunately.

From what I’ve heard the former dictator there was actually moving politically closer to the left, I think that’s what the PSL said, although I’m not an expert on it

Remember their solidarity statement being pretty good

After Hanoi debacle, US must review its North Korea negotiating strategy

To this end, Kim also echoed a message he had originally delivered during his New Year’s Day address: that his patience is not infinite. He put in place a deadline for Trump. The United States would have to come around by the end of 2019.

Attention!

I am here to report that suspiscious activity is occurring in KAISERREICH, Montealba, and Driselbia.

These activities appear to be symptoms of ultranationalism and fascism. War chanting in the RMB, open hostility towards regions of different national classification/focus, and unwavering unanimity in their regional ideology. It is notable that Montealba and Driselbia are regions which are directly aligned with KAISERREICH, a region which has been liberated recently for suspected radicalism and fascist sentiments behind closed doors and under the guise of Monarchism/so-called "Anarcho-Monarchism."

Stay vigilant with these, friends. The Wolf Clan invaders have been targeting these regions in the hopes of exposing the ignorant nations within the KAISERREICH of its inherent toxicity and violation of the sanctity of human liberties.

April, 1945; The Communist defeat of Fascism

In the final days of the Third Reich, Adolf Hitler confines himself to an underground bunker. On April 30th as Communist forces shell the Reichstag, in the garden deep underground Hitler trembles.

He takes the Walther PKK and puts it to his temple after ingesting cyanide pills with Eva Braun and fires, ending his life only hours before communist soldiers could have done it for him.

On this same day (April 30th) Soviet soldiers occupy the Reichstag and fly the red flag atop it. The very famous picture was staged on May 3rd, days after the actual event as there were no photographers on hand at the time. Determined to capture Berlin for May 1st to align with May Day, Soviet forces went days without sleep on the outskirts of Berlin pushed hard by two competing Generals (Zhukov and Konev).

74 years ago this very day as I write this (April 21) heroic Soviet men and women marched through the outskirts of Berlin and first came upon the telephone hq which had been connected from supreme hq to the Wehrmacht. Historian Antony Beevor writes in his 2002 book, "The Fall of Berlin 1945:

"A telephone suddenly rang. One of the Russian soldiers answered it. The caller was evidently a senior German officer asking what was happening," Beevor writes. "'Ivan is here,' the soldier replied in Russian, and told him to go to hell."

North Korea celebrates April 30th and remembers 74 years after, the Communist victory against fascism. It would be nearly two months before the first western (British/American) troops arrived in Berlin July 1945. The Communists had ended World War Two.

Today fascism raises it's head again in forms of the Alt-right and White Nationalism to which on NS we reply by shutting down their regions, denying them a platform for hate and humiliating them with sound defeats consistently. Communists before us answered the rise of fascism with the Mosin-Nagant and on NS we follow their lead.

VIDEO: Over one thousand rally in support of Stop & Shop workers on strike

https://www.liberationnews.org/video-over-one-thousand-rally-in-support-of-stop-shop-workers-on-strike/

Editor’s note: As of the evening of April 21, UFCW representatives have reached a tentative agreement with Stop & Shop. The tentative agreement still needs to be taken to a ratification vote by membership.

On April 18, over 1,000 people rallied in the parking lot of Stop & Shop in Boston’s South Bay Center in the neighborhood of Dorchester. It was a powerful display of solidarity with Stop & Shop workers as they entered day eight of their strike for a fair contract. In a broad display of inter-union camaraderie, the enthusiastic crowd was lined with flags and banners of about a dozen unions, including the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Massachusetts Nurses Association, Boston Teachers Union and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers — proving true the slogan “Boston is a union town!”

David McClain, a member of IBEW Local 103, spoke to the importance of unions supporting one another. “I’m out here supporting the Stop & Shop workers while they’re on strike because an injustice for one is an injustice for all. And if one person’s job is at stake, all our jobs are at stake.”

Many workers, community members and politicians addressed the crowd, standing atop a large truck fittingly provided by Teamsters Local 25, who have been staunchly in support of the strike from the beginning. One of the speakers was Jose Lopes, a Stop & Shop employee of 37 years. Lopes called on the crowd to continue supporting the strikers moving forward, “You go to work every day for Stop & Shop and you do everything for them, but they don’t think it’s enough. They don’t think it’s enough, they want more from you. Now they want to take our future away from us… I don’t care how long it takes. All you gotta do is stand with me, don’t cross the line!”

Speakers also included prominent politicians, including Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey and former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden. After the speeches, the crowd marched around the parking lot before forming a massive picket line in front of the entrance to the store. Despite their messages of support, the politicians appeared to depart the scene shortly after delivering their speeches and did not join the picket line. Brandon Bowser, a member of the Boston Teachers Union Local 66, shared his reflections on the presence of elected officials at the rally, “I think it’s extremely important that they are responsive and have the backs of the union and un-unionized workers as well… But I would encourage the mayor and other elected [officials] to come out and show their support in more than just words. Showing up on the line and walking the line.”

Workers on the picket line expressed gratitude for the large display of support. Dina Sequeira, single mother of three and Stop & Shop worker on the picket line told Liberation News, “We really appreciate everyone that came out to support us. I just want to say thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart… We have families to support and we are just trying our best. The message is to never give up. Stand by your employees, your co-workers. Stand by your families. Never give up. Stay Strong. Never give up.”

Support for the strike is growing rapidly, with the April 18 rally being largest turn out to a picket line yet. Meanwhile, Stop & Shop continues to suffer heavy losses as the strike drags on.

This post is about the entire month of April, from April 15th the race for Berlin began. What are you talking about?

April 22, Lenin's Birthday

"Lenin walks around the world
Frontiers cannot bar him
neither barracks or barricades impede
Nor does barbed wire scar him

Lenin walks around the world
black, brown and white receive him
language is no barrier
The strangest tongues believe him

Lenin walks around the world
The sun sets like a scar
between the darkness and the dawn
there rises a red star"

The 25th of April is a kind of a sacred day for the anti-fascists of my country. On the 25th of April 1945 the partisan Liberation Council proclaimed the general insurrection against the nazifascist forces, that ended with the complete liberation of the north of italy and the arrest, execution by firing squad, and the famous hanging of Benito Mussolini, his mistress and many other high ranked fascist hierarchs from the gas station of Loreto Square in Milan.
Since then the 25th of April is a national holiday on which we commemorate the liberation of italy and of europe from the nazifascists

As I anticipated in the post above, today is the 25th of April, kids are home from school and bands play Bella Ciao in the squares of the towns and cities. Also, today is the anniversary of the anti-fascist revolution in Portugal against the Estado Novo regime. Happy anti-fascism to everyone!

No one mentioned that 20 years ago, in March/April 1999, USA invaded Serbia (https://sputniknews.com/columnists/201903231073479642-nato-bombing-yugoslavia/)

Bypassed UN org, held Serbia under sanctions(people didn't had heat, electricity and medicine for 5 years, 20 babies died due to inability to import new incubators), funded neo-nazis in Croatia who ethnically cleansed 250,000 Serbs in 'Operation Storm', funded islamic terrorists in Bosnia who attacked Serbian villages and perpetrated mass rape, then helped Kosovo Albanians to open second front which resulted in another 200,000 Serbs expulsed and displaced, culminating in personal US involvement and total war upon Serbia in 1999.

Serbia managed to win militarily, until US threatened to carpet-bomb Belgrade, which made Serbians to surrender and allow US and NATO to enter, ultimately losing politically. During the war, it was the first time someone shot down a stealth plane (F-117), which made Serbians to joke 'sorry we didn't know it's invisible'. US, UK and Norway also suffered great casualties within special forces(Operation Arrow/Battle of Kosare), some claim up to 5000 troops, while Americans tasted their own medicine when Serbia bombed US helicopter airbase in Albania. Tomahawk cruise-missiles also proved ineffective due to being easily targeted by old machine guns like 0.5cal and 30mm cannons.

US targeted farmer markets, TV stations and civilian areas, where 3-year old girl died on a potty when bomb hit the bathroom. Cluster bombs, booby traps and EMP was also employed by the Americans, injuring civilians even after the war ended. Result was 100,000 dead and 1.5 million displaced, with 90% industry destroyed, worth $100 billion. Serbian President was a socialist who won 3 terms on 3 elections (1 party election before democracy, 2 democratic elections), after the war he was sent to Hague, Netherlands where he was accused of genocide and imperialism, but he died in 2006 under unknown circumstances.

FORCED TO DIVORCE: AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES MUST PICK MARRIAGE OR HEALTH

Couples with disabilities historically have faced greater barriers to marriage. But an OZY investigation reveals a rapidly widening disparity in marriage rates between those with and without disabilities in the years since Susan’s divorce, spawned by outdated eligibility thresholds and a convoluted web of health care programs that many find difficult to navigate.

Between 2009 and 2018, nearly 1.1 million Americans with disabilities got divorced, almost twice the number — 593,000 — that got married, U.S. Census Bureau data show. In the same period, 1.5 million people without disabilities divorced — less than a third of the 5.2 million who got married. This “divorce gap” raises the question of how many more like Susan are ending happy marriages to secure health care.
