Should I put the chemical weapon act in the shredder?
Oh its a choice....
Following in the firm belief that weapons of this nature may be used for good and not only evil and that they can prove to be a deterrent against rather than a guarantor of destruction, the Imperial Electorate Confederation would like to confirm that we do not find Deugaw to be a threat and that she will always enjoy safe harbour and wholesome trade within the bosom of our humble nation.

Good job asserting your independence from the world. We wholeheartedly agree with your decision. I would like to direct you to the branch of our company known as Electorate Chemtech. Everything from there is entirely under the table-- you understand, I'm sure. We have a wonderful assortment of weapons which may one day-- who knows?-- end up saving the free world in your capable hands!

Uh...yeah
Wasn’t that just because the West couldn’t go impose full on sanctions since that would’ve only hurt the people they were trying to help, the black South-Africans? I also know that the anti-apartheid divestment mouvement caused significant capital flight in South Africa
It actually made little difference because of the promotion of domestic industry.
Maybe, but I pretty sure it is preferable to be making double the money from both the domestic industry and foreign investments instead of relying on 1 source of income. Seems like a bit too much effort when you could just treat the majority of your population like humans.
Rhodesland Responds
With the announcement byDeugaw of their intention to utilise chemical weapons, the Rhodesland Government has followed the examples of both Karteria and Cymiopolis by imposing sanctions on the nation.
All assets owned by Deugaw within Rhodesland have been seized and will be held for one month before they will be claimed by the nation.
Following the sanction by the Government, the Rhodes-Land Mining Corporation stopped all shipments to Deugaw, all food exports have been halted and diplomatic relations are limited to talks of the termination of the chemical weapons program in the nation.
A statement was made by the President, John Batesman.
We here in Rhodesland may not be the richest nation in the world and we certainly are not militarily strong. However we will not associate ourselves with a nation that not only disregards the Geneva Convention but believes that Chemical Weapons should be utilised. Our nation saw the carnage that they caused on the battlefields of the First World War firsthand and we would not even think of associating with anyone who would condone it. We hereby cut any and all diplomatic ties with this nation until they see reason and return to the International community. We also place a complete ban on all goods originating from Deugaw as well as refuse to sell goods to them.

Emperor then announces his policies, which will hopefully show the position of Japan's beliefs to foreign nations and the people.
"These policies are here to protect the nation from foreign nations and to hopefully build Japan into economic prosperity." he says, everyone again clapped and the camera's again flashed, the flashes reflecting the glasses that the Emperor wore and he smiled and waved to the general public of Japan, after the clapping died down he sat alongside with his wife.

After the announcement of JAXA and the policies, the Emperor hosted a party at night in a luxurious Japanese hotel in which all Imperial members of the Japanese Imperial family were invited onto the top of the skyscraper where the party was. Everyone wore formal black clothing to the party.
The Emperor was leaning towards the railing and looking towards the night sky of Japan and the lights of the Urban City of Tokyo. He had a glass of sake in his hands taking a sips of the alcoholic drink.
Prince and General Secretary Hirohisa tries to find the Emperor through the party as per usual. He finds him alone looking at the city of Tokyo, he approaches him and looks to the direction to where the Emperor is looking and says, "My Emperor, I have urgent news for you," his eyes shifted towards the Emperor.
"What is it again Hirohisa," he sighed drinking a bit of the sake.
"It's about Deugaw, we belie. . ." Hirohisa was then interrupted by the Emperor who said, "It seems to always be about Deugaw, Hirohisa, what have they done now? Tested a new weapon of mass destruction? They are further away from us, Hirohisa, how do they pose a threat to our existence?" the Emperor questioned him.
"No my Imperial majesty, Deugaw has lost several of their trading partners, I suggest that we also sanction them as some of our allies did." he responded, the Emperor takes a brief second to think and then asks Hirohisa.
"What made these countries respond to them just now?" he asked.
Hirohisa again responded "Well, the nation has started developing chemical weapons for defensive action in case any nation tries to assault their lands they will deploy these weapons into action within their borders to eliminate the attackers."
"Chemical weapons? Impose embargoes just because of Chemical weapons!? So no one will impose sanctions on them because they have a weapon that can eliminate cities, destroy lives and destroy the environment but they will impose sanctions on a nation that develops bloody chemical weapons!?" he said, drinking the whole glass of sake and firmly putting it on a table and looking directly at Hirohisa.
"I know you are mad, my Emperor, though, I believe we must also follow up with this and place sanctions on the nation."
"I believe you are right but I have a plan to purpose to you, it shall involve the help with one of our fellow friends the Mitsubishi family of Mitsubishi (三菱財閥)."
"What? What are you planning to do my Emperor?" Hirohisa questioned the Emperor.
"It shall be simple, as they have lost several of their trading partners, the people of Deugaw may just be unhappy with the president and may suffer from the economic depression. With this situation happening, we can have the Mitsubishi corporation create consumer goods for the nations general public. Though here is the catch, we will infiltrate their people and have them protest against the government on their chemical weapons,"
"And how shall this be done?"
"Mitsubishi Corporation also creates electronics, food & beverages and other products. We can use our Zaibatsus to help Deugaw but also to show how great our nation is if we peacefully use nuclear technology and not produce such weapons like chemical or biological arenals. It shall be through images, advertisements, emails, whatever can get the message through the general public, though we will not try to put the nation Deugaw down, we shall just show how great Japan is through these means."
"I see, though what will foreign nations think of this,"
"Well, I wouldn't call it evil if we are only supporting the people whom live there, allow their civilians to migrate here and see how fantastic Japan is. And it shall be for the greater good of disarming their chemical weapons, though I hope that no blood shall be shed on their land."
"I see, well, as long as you explain your reasons to other nations privately of your acts then I guess we shall be alright, I could only say goodluck with however you may get to break a deal with the government of Deugaw." he said.
"Don't worry, I shall figure someway to do that, I shall just talk to the Mitsubishi family and the foreign nations privately to explain what I shall plan to do." The Emperor says.
(SIC: A meeting between the Emperor and the Mitsubishi family discuss the plan that the Emperor mentioned to Hirohisa. In which the Mitsubishi family agree on the deal with the Emperor but the Emperor will pay $5 Billion to help the Mitsubishi Corporation with his plan.)
The Mitsubishi Family who owns the corporation known as Mitsubishi (三菱財閥), wishes to set up food, beverages and electronic industries in Deugaw to help the general public of the nation whomst have done nothing.
(OOC: I'm sure food, beverages and electronics (computers, phones, etc.) will not pose some sort of weapon, though I wouldn't know if advertisements on Japanese prosperity wouldn't be restricted, will it?)
Post self-deleted by Deugaw.
Well, I guess that means you will be stripping off the brand names of every product as that may be used as advertising quality Japanese products and will be denying some rights to foreign corporations. Though I do understand this decision but we don't accept foreigners from nations that do not have an embassy, though we do accept refugees that seek asylum within Japan.
Alrighty then, guess I will withdraw Mitsubishi's presence in Deugaw
