That is cool. I always wanted to set one of those up for NCON. Kudos.

I hope it works. Maybe to promote activity we can use the off-site currency as temp upgrades to our nations.

It gives you random amounts (1-2) for posting or replying. Everyone should be able to send and receive from everyone.

Spending the Off-site currency for temp bonuses or upgrades for our nations is a great idea. Not only does it give an incentive to be active and post, but it also pushes people to actually open stores. Great ideas.

Yea, this is the only region something like this could work. As we are rp oriented. I've seen it used in other government based regions with no success. Though it can open up to other stores then rp only stores. Things like flag makers, banners and avatar makers could find some use out of this. Of course it's only scratching the surface of what can be opened.

Yo everyone, sorry I haven't been more active during all of this. I moved into my college and started training as a RA 2 days ago, our schedule is non-stop training from 8am-8/10pm with exception for meals breaks. I won't be very around for the next 2ish weeks but I will check in daily and offer advise when i can. Once my residents move-in and things get settled here then Ill be able to be more involved in region-building.

I would say there are our 2 biggest piece on our agenda:

1.) RP
2.) Recruitment

Both of these compliment each other to create an attractive appearance for our region and in my mind it would also help lead our region to the point of separation of rp & state. I encourage all of you to either create or take part in NS forum activity as well with our region in our signature to help advertise our region around NS, point that we are a region dominated with active people who are experience and eager rp participates.

Lastly, I am going to say that for now (I at least) want to hold of on any region government related activities. Nedea and I (I can also imagine some of you) are going through regional government PTSD and would like to avoid bringing that sh!t show to here until we can all agree its time and our region is fully prepared to handle it.

If any of you need me, i am only a tg away and i will reply ASAP with the best of my abilities.

I will be free for the next few hours. Also if you haven't applied for the forum yet please do so ASAP, tg Ned and/or I so we remember to approve your request.

46566, I approved you FYI.

Government wise as a rp region we only need like 4 positions maybe 5 Max. 1 spot to regulate (sorry for the bad word Nedea) business on the forums to make sure they are active or serve a purpose. Maybe 3 spots for a rotating rp tribunal.(deals with any rp problems brought to it) The last spot maybe some sort of judge position.(a neutral party should someone declare bias on a tribunal or business minister ruling) In theory the judge will serve as a appeals court.

lol... No.

:) Nah, seriously. Just agree before hand on anything. The RP shouldnt be game, it should be a story.

If anything, I wouldn't even want like a "government" like deal for rp moderation. That tribunal should be all of the player involved on a committee/council to decided all rp related matters.

To clarify all players sound come to an agreement in the event of something coming up which affects the gameplay.

The idea in my mind would be in the matter that for some neutral deacon makers if need be though I wouldn't mind a region wide vote or discussion.

So what are all of your thoughts considering using NS stats? Lol I'm surprised Ath is not a fan anymore, although I don't blame him at all, it's hard work. But can we at least set rules regarding military set up? Ath's original way of using DF from NS stats was so damn simple....

I know ath doesn't want to be tied down like crazy.... but man did he have the coolest map......

Assuming everyone in the region is involved in the rp, I don't see how a group could by impartial. My idea would be everyone would be involved instead of a select group of individuals who all could be in an alliance and use that to their advantage.

What did you have in mind?

To begin I think we need a new flag. Anyone think they can make one? Job pays 25 Credits. Haha.

I love when people use my phrases :') brings a tear to my eye.

Not sure about the map. I have a huge work project starting soon. Setting up a map maybe too much for me for a few weeks or maybe months. Not sure my exact workload yet, but I should be rather busy in RL.

On military you got three main factors—size, tech-level, and access to that tech (budget).

I would say, let each player choose the percent of population in military. One to four percent, no effect on nation. Deduct one percent from GDP for each percent above 4% in military.

Use Defense Forces index to find defense expenses per capita. So multiply by population to get actual defense expenses for your nation, then divide by number of personel in military to get "DefenseExpenses per Soldier"), and finally Scientific Tech for "native" tech-level.

Strength per Soldier = (DefenseExpenses per Soldier) x (SciAdv)

Then, when two armies face off it's a question of number of Soldiers in the combat and their respective "Strength per Soldier".

(Example with small numbers.)

Army A has 100 Soldiers with Strength per Soldier of 20. Total Strength = 100 x 20 = 2000.
Army B has 50 Soldiers with Strength per Soldier of 50. Total Strength = 50 x 50 = 2500.

Army B is predicted to win. Players should agree on outcome, and then RP.

You're gonna need a special equation. lol... No, dont you have mercenaries? How to calculate that?

Should we have some sort of NS cap? It may be unfair to some people. Heck I out manufacturer Nedea 2 to 1. It's why I proposed my npc nation idea.

At least I don't have the biggest df numbers.
