The Ivstinii have become more rude and nice and the same time, over time, somehow.

It’s crazy seeing some of my stuff in the very high percentiles of NS overall and then looking at NCON and seeing I’m at the lower end on those same ones. Lmao

We are a quiet region with some exceptional, if not radical (on all sides), nations. I'm just glad we all get along and don't let our differences divide us. I'm thankful to have this place where we can have a discussion without animosity. What a fun place.

We do need to dust-off the knick-knacks, throw open the windows, air this place out, buy some drinks and snacks, and have us a good little party.

What were you thinking? Maybe a fall festival? A stream? Maybe a game?

No idea, but something fun and interactive.

What about making a version of the map in a Risk/Diplomacy style, sprinkle in a few more provinces and we play a week long game of diplomacy/risk? Won't affect the RP but would be a great chance to fire off those diplomacy TGs to eachother and maneuver to take the world.

I think that would be really cool, actually. :)

Yes we’re like a family that knows how to accept each other for our good qualities and not just look at our differences. And we can all take a joke.

I'm particularly proud of this. Glad you guys like it 😄

I love it:

In recent weeks, a neighbouring nation in New Coalition of Nations released a controversial and gory movie about St Saratoga, entitled The Baker Of St Saratoga. The movie, which follows the horrifying journey of a hapless ex-baker into the criminal underworld of Rogerbei, seems to imply that St Saratoga is a dystopian hellhole filled with violent crime. Unsurprisingly your citizenry is offended.

Man, I can never have discourse with people on Facebook. I always end up with a 30 day ban.

Watcha say? (clean version)

I was arguing against a post about BLM that because 90% of the current protests going on are peaceful across the nation, according to a study, that their narrative that they are all rioters trying to destroy the country was a false narrative. Several people chimed in against me but when I insisted on evidence for their claims (hitchens’ razor) they proved nothing objectively useful. Then one guy brought up a protest in Charleston saying the study said “this” protest was a riot and that the study said it wasn’t. I asked which protest (because there have been many there including unite the right) and instead of answering respectably like everyone else he posted an article about it while calling me a sense “F”. So I said “okay the little “b” I was asking an earnest question of how you know this is the protest in particular in the study?” And he reported my comment and got me a 30 day ban so I reported his in retaliation and then he had the nerve to try to cry to the admins of that group that I needed to be removed for reporting. So I posted a screenshot of him doing it first (somehow I was able to make comments before it finally initiated the ban) and so they removed him from the group instead.

The Athretvari Strategic Ministry of NationStates (SMNS) reports that it has begun informal discussions with the government of the Glorious Federal Republic of Ivstinian (GFRI) to prepare for a possible high-level state visit by Proconsul Gaius Flavius and other senior GFRI officials.

While an official agenda has yet to be formalized according to anonymous SMNS officials, they say the trip will likely highlight the two countries long cultural and historic ties.

“It’s no surprise the strategosa has high hopes to deepen Athretvari’s economic and strategic relationship with the GFRI. The question is, are the Ivstinians interested?” said Jessika Wabbid, an Associate Professor of Diplomatic Affairs at Ars Scientia Realms University Vladimir Putin School of International Relations.

“The strategosa needs allies!” Prof. Wabbid says. “And she needs them soon, what with the Grand Duchy constantly playing footsy with joining the Kredit Union and running circles around her diplomatically with respect to engaging the NPCs in the region. Securing an economic, security or defense agreement with the Ivstinian during the Proconcul’s visit would be a political score for her.

“Agāgio is suffering politically within the Admirality over her handling of the economy and what they are calling diplomatic stagnation. She needs ‘a win’.”

Oh that's right I don't have a direct trade deal with the UTR. I figure I trade with you indirectly through that one semi independent republic. I know the breakaway republic I trade with doesn't trade with you.(at least not much)

I just opened up contact with Fourfall if anyone wants to open up contact to trade with them.

Actually, I do RP that Fri Athka's economy is closely linked to Athretvari's, however due to long-standing political issues there's lots of hostility between our govts. (Think China and Taiwan. Their economies are very closely linked, however China is always threatening to force unification. Same scenario between Athretvari and Fri Athka.) You could definitely use them as conduit for trade with Athretvari.

Without a direct trade agreement, you can trade with Athretvari through most local NPC markets or 'the global market'. Which is what I imagine must exist on Enkon for us to trade with all the unorganized tribes and NPCs. A direct trade agreement simply makes formal, qualifies and quantifies it, and cuts out the NPC middle-men.

That makes sense then I guess I have 2 informal links to trade with your country. I honestly don't know what I want to do with your country RP wise. I think that your mostly self sufficient in most things. If anything my country wrongly assumes your a centralized confederation of separate territory.

Well, according to my calculations, Athretvari (while technically producing more than world average) does still need to import lots of mining and timber. I want to RP that nearly all of Athretvari’s mining is in rare-earth metals. Meaning we import nearly all the iron, aluminum, copper, and other “regular” metals, petroleum and natural gas we need, which is likely a lot! Same with Timber, we specialize in two types mainly—a fast-growth softwood bamboo type tree, and a slow-growth hardwood tree called Red Fernwood (cause they look like giant red ferns). Same as mining, we import all the other types we need. Specialization should allow us to offer some of our limited production for export.

My govt will be looking for (mining and timber) suppliers soon once we finalize what the product quantities and types should be.

Oh. I like that there may be a bit of confusion about the UTR. You can technically sign agreements with any of the realms (the many that make up Athretvari proper, or either of the 2 “rogue realms”—Fri Athka and Hi’why’yea), all the Athretvari realms togehter, or with the UTR as a whole, which would currently cover all of Athretvari and Hi’why’yea, as Fri Athka has yet to formally accept inclusion. However, Fri Athka is given opportunity to sign-on to any UTR agreements, and usually does out of economic or diplomatic necessity, so our govt recommends working with the UTR or Athretvari directly. But again, Fri Athka and Hi’why’yea are free NPCs, so you can interact with them fully as sovereign nationstates. (If you’d like me to RP or supply info about anything for them, please just let me know.) My govt may react, but that’s the likely reason you’re interacting with them in the first place.

I have no formal plans at least politically. The Hi’why’yea trade deal was probably a step to open potential trade with the UTR. Probably a start at limited contact. Fri Athka is the the human realm isn't it? I think that my country would probably back the status quo of it being a semi independent realm instead of incorporation by force. I think my country would want closer ties to the human realm within your country.

While not outright speciest we do tend to favor normal or enhanced humans.(people enhanced by Gene improvements) I think that the AI UTR citizenry would be classified as human like machines. The fish people that were on my shore were dissected by the government and informally classified as non human intelligent being.
