Apparently Moarfall has a lot of big dicks swinging around.

Nedea wrote:Real talk. Any of you pals go out and buy a load of TP? I had quite a tower to begin with.

I went for the liquor instead while everyone was distracted with the TP.

Also, according to the newly released rankings your St Saratoga Saints are ranked 1st in the World Lacrosse Classic!

Look here, people! This is a guy who understands what's really going on. Kudos!

We got ours through our stores distributors. And already ahead of you on the booze. My family owns a liquor store after all. Though if things get too dicey, might have to up our security there if you know what I mean.

What's the guess for this year's April fools feature?

My guess is something to do with flags. Been sometime they've done anything with flags and it would be neat to see what they can do. Maybe a live ripple effect to look like the flag is actually waving.

I guess not really a joke but a feature that would be cool.

I’m hoping they bring out the old NS stockmarket. The original was before Athretvari’s founding, and never repeated (as far as I know). I heard it nearly took NS down, it was so popular. Were any of you guys around for that?

Oh god yes. That was fun. When NS had its "IPO"? People started Up stores on the forums and were trading the stock. Closest thing to an actual currency exchange we've had here. More so than the bytecoin thing im pretty sure.

Actually, this gives me an idea. Because exchanging was so heavy on the servers it of course can't be a long time thing. But what if...

As a monetization plan for NS, they allowed region founders to pay for a "premium" plan for their region. Say like 5 bucks a month or something. Then what that does is give the region and its members more functions. Like a currency exchange. Like better flags. A live chat. Stuff that would really tax the servers if everyone had it.

That way our favorite website can get more money for better servers, more features and content and we get cool things for ourselves.

Emmerian-anea

I guess! sounds nice.

I wouldn't mind a few of those features. I would like to see how the currency exchange would handle the KU. As they have EU like institutions it would be interesting. It would give nation's a to way to show devaluing their currency short term. Though couldn't regions do something similar themselves off site? I think Ath had something a few years ago that was similar to a currency exchange?

I did/still kinda do. (Sorry Nedea! Every time I go to write some RP lately, I keep gettting sidetracked by tinkering with this.) I have it setup for an FT version of Athretvari, as if Ath were a planet onto itself and not a mini-continent on Enkon.

Anywhichway, I have a type of currency exchange calculation based on comparing Athretvari’s stats against those of the NS universe and those of the region (NCON). It also takes into account a “Net Trade” calculation that also compares (just industry) stats of Athretvari against the NS universe and the region to figure out how much of what I produce is above and beyond what an economy of my size and production would need. The remainder being extra and thus exportable.

Economic Summary starts on row 74 of the Overview tab. The Query tab shows data pulled from NS for Athretvari, the NS universe, and the region.

Warning! It crashes often. And I mean often. So if the data does show for you, understand that its a little hobby/experiment.

But, it does have the capability of doing almost anything we might want.

How long has state owned and government owned businesses been a thing? I've just notified fed it's listed differently.

Edit: for some reason I always thought it listed only private and government owned businesses. I would assume it was listed as government owned when socialist.

I think, Government is what you’d consider traditional government services regardless of whether the economy is socialist or not, like basic healthcare (public hospitals) or basic education (public schools). While the industrial part of your economy is then defined as either being privately controlled or under state-control. And of course the black market, controlled by “criminals.”

Vote The Bigtopia for Gen-Sec!

“Why only soldiers?” questions your secretary, as she grinds her teeth incessantly, makes you a drink with one hand and takes meeting minutes with the other. “Look at all this work I have piled up on my desk, not to mention all the other tasks I’m expected to carry out. There’s never enough time in the day! Dose every worker in St Saratoga with methamphetamines and see how efficient they become!”

Unicorns, bunnies, and bazookas! What’s not to like about this guy?! Vote for The Bigtopia!

Man. You WA folk disgust me. Surrendering your rights to a foreign authority.

We aren't surrendering rights because they repeal everything they just pass.

I purposely vote for stuff just to get a chance to vote to repeal it later.

(lol... Not really, but it feels like that sometimes.)

Nedea wrote:Man. You WA folk disgust me. Surrendering your rights to a foreign authority.

I just vote without being a member. Just sway the election your way. Who ever wins it doesn't matter if you're not a member. If the "leader" screws up the WA we lose nothing.

St Saratoga did you just vandalize my region page with your WA propaganda?
