Can I get those territories I claimed awhile back?

Good to know getting rid of physical punishment rasies my taxes.

Gerdon laughis wrote:Similarly our Government's have reached the verdict to approve diplomatic ties with Athretvari. Gerdon shall send Ambassador Vanis Evanis, while Laughis shall send Ambassador Juk Arfik. No need for separate Embassies, as they represent the Diarchy, but any decisions made with the Ambassadors must require both of them to sign off on the idea.

The Government of Athretvari welcomes the appointment of their excellencies, the ambassadors Evanis and Arfik from Gerdon Laughis.

Strategosa Anra Agājio warmly greeted the ambassadors to the Vićsroćk in Ars Scientia where she accepted the ambassadors credentials and then hosted them to a state dinner with many other top level officials of the Athretvarian government including members of the nation’s highest political decision making body, the Select-College of Admirals.

Prior to an official reciprocal diplomatic appointment from Athretvari, the High-Technate’s government, admittedly being ignorant of the exact organization and functioning of the Government of Gerdon Laughis, wishes to ask — Should Athretvari appoint 1, 2, or perhaps even 3 ambassadors to represent the High-Technate within the courts of the Diarchic Kingdom? Or should we appoint 1 ambassador to the Kingdom as a whole with 2 “Deputy Ambassadors” that Athretvari may be properly represented in each court? Our government is willing to accommodate any arrangement that best suits the political needs of Gerdon Laughis, its government and people.

That no disrespect be shown to either court, in any arrangement, the ambassador(s) shall insure proper coordination of activities to facilitate the best possible communication between the High-Technate and the Diarchic Kingdom, and to show utmost friendly deference to the political system of Gerdon Laughis.

We understand the Diarchic system seems unorthodox for the majority of nations, and to avoid having you or any other nation stray too far from a conventional format of government, we shall try to make things as linear as possible. We would suggest the High-Technate appoint a main ambassador to seat in Gerdon, as the government in Gerdon is more suited for foreign matters, while Laughis handles Domestic. However, to the respect of of second government, we request your ambassador appoint a Deputy to work on his behalf. We too shall accommodate for the requests of the Technate.

I think im going to drop the Cartel thing and change my foreign affiars to the Syndicate Liaison Bureau. I thought I could do something silly but I think I'll save the cartel thing for later.

Also, Im having the Kredit Union bank become more of an international body and not so closely tied to Nedea. I'll still keep my 30% stake but I want a more domestic treasury for Nedea specific financials. What do you guys think of "The Primary Executive Coffer" for my "central bank"??

From a Ooc perspective how strong and active should our World trade organization and possible World Bank be? At the very least it gives everyone access to your economic stats to do with.(they know how economically weak or strong you are) RP wise Deficit and surplus are most likely rped by each person. A example is I import more than I probably export but allot of my goods are used in-house.

Should these organizations RP wise occasionally release economic outlooks for RP? Basically randomly introducing to events to the regional RP. RP could be good or bad but will (or should reflect current RP ongoings) a new trading alliance might get a boost economically but a collapse of one could damage your country. Something like a 2 day recession for a trading block collapse. Basically forcing negatives for bad choices in RP.(no jumping in and out of trade deals)

A basic concept of capitalism is “the strong eat the weak”. It was only a matter of time before they did it literally.

Thank you Ath! I literally started laughing out loud to this. Haha. Oh man thats good.

Challenge for anyone. Make a factbook for your capital. I've started working on mine. (Mind the lorum ipsom) I think it would be fun for us to do some more domestic lore for our nations.

I just wish NS would support more bbcode. Everything would look so much better.

I like the update to your foreign relations factbook. Is there any reasoning behind the symbols on the ambassadors uniform?

The Government of Athretvari Appoints New Ambassadors to the Enkon

Ars Scientia — The Strategic Ministry of NationStates (S6) announced that the Strategosa has appointed new ambassadors to the major active nationstates of the Enkon with which Athretvari has some degree of amicable relations. The strategic ministry made the new appointments in the hopes of strengthening the bounds of friendship that have developed between the High-Technate and other great civilizations upon the planet. Of major note is the appointment of Rex Nobyt, the first Athrevar-Wulzujian appointed to a major diplomatic post. Adm. Nobyt will serve as Deputy-Ambassador to the Court of Laughis in Gerdon laughis. The ministry is hopeful that the Laughis court and Gerdon Laughis society in general are inclusive and progressive-minded enough to accept a Wulzujian as Athretvari's envoy.

The ministry also noted that several ambassadors, specifically one to Texasiva, were not yet appointed. The ministry highlighted the indefinite postponement of an envoy to Texasiva due to its government's extremist views regarding Athretvari and its peoples. The ministry added, "The High-Technate desires amicable relations with all nations upon Enkon, including the Texasivans. If their government renounces its anti-Athretvari positions and is open to developing relations with Athretvari, we will move with all speed to establish and develop diplomatic and other relations with them."

Did you get a notice when I added your nation's name to the factbook? I thought that only happened when you first published, not when you updated also.

You mean the images of animals and plants on their robes? Those represent genetic-lines. We're vat-grown, so no "families" per se, but we do have "genetic-lines".

The golden double-Xs are the symbol of Admiral Sziul, it represents the four original tribes that united to form Athretvari, the Xs are actually 4 sets of hands coming together in the middle. (It is perhaps the most ancient of Athretvari's symbols.)

The gold sun disk is a symbol of Athretvari's humanity as represented by its instinctual devotion to the sun, most specifically the ancient Sol, which in Athretvari tradition is the "Life-seed of Humanity", having 'impregnated Ancient Terra' and letting her give birth to life including humanity. (I know, we're weirdos.)

On their sleeves is written "Ath" using Athretvari's alphabet.

That's a good lore. And yea, when you added my name I got the notice. I'm not just constantly creeping on peoples factbooks... At first I thought the symbols were supposed to represent the nation they are ambassador for. The vat family thing is very fun. Whats the most prestigious gene symbol?

Hmmm, good question. We function as a technocratic merito-stratocracy, so not sure if we would openly or actively promote any line over any other. But there would probably be a few 'prestigious' lines that emerge over time as political and cultural power shifts. The ones you see there would probably be among some of the most influential and powerful (especially the koi-fishes and orchid-roses). Not sure I've decided yet, but those two in particular call out to me. I think I'll be reserving different types of spiders for AthWulzujian gene-lines. Of course, there are whole sub-lines of each— gold koi-fish (as seen on Maj-Adm. Katcihng), white red-spotted koi-fish, all black koi-fish, gold black-fin koi-fish, etc, etc. Any two Athretvari wearing exactly the same symbol would be from the same genetic stock and likely genetic 'cousins' or even closer.

We are honored to have any representatives of the great nations here, regardless of race.

(Also what program did you use to make your ambassadors and stuff? Very interested.)

Our government is delighted by the acceptance of Admiral Nobyt’s diplomatic credentials to the Court of Laughis. While not a traditional appointment, it is our sincere belief that the Laughis court and Gerdon Laughis as a whole will be well served by his appointment. He has rich knowledge of not only his own vibrant Wulzuji subculture, but of the greater “metropolitan” Athretvar culture as well. Wulzuji account for about 10% of Athretvari’s population, and while well integrated, do mostly inhabit Athretvari’s rural interior regions, and thus can often times be difficult to find in our cities. They form the backbone of Athretvari’s agricultural and basket-weaving industrial complexes. And their subculture is often referenced in mainline Athretvarian art and other media.

The Athretvarian Government would like to propose that the Kredit Union expand its mission scope to something like a World Trade Organization where we could work-out some "economic rules of engagement" in the RP. The 'bank' portion of the KU could be maintained as a separate but associated part of the KU, acting as a type of International Monetary Fund and Development Bank. Athretvari would be very interested in joining and working with such organizations, and believe they would serve as perfect avenues for developing systems of trade between our nations.

The powers of any international organization must be set by its members. These orgs should be viewed like RL international orgs, with only so much power and influence as their members give them and only over whatever topics/issues they desire them to address.

The Government of Athretvari would like to see a type of international forum open to all the nations of the NCON to discuss these ideas in much more detail. Perhaps we can develop treaties that set out the basics of how economics and trade works in the NCON's RP.

For example, based on your example, we believe that something like a trade agreement or alliance should offer certain "boosts" to the economic stats of the countries involved in the agreement. However, loss of the agreement through war, sanctions, or embargo, etc would mean loss of all the "boosts" the agreement offered. Over time, if enough agreements are made, countries will become more and more interested in keeping the agreements they have and making new ones. Loss of a major agreement would mean loss of the major boosts offered by the lost agreement. It would encourage interaction and maintaining that interaction.
