I don't think it released yet but it looks great! You can choose a LOTR kingdom.

The animation style of a lot of the more stereotypical Japanese animation puts me off a bit, especially the wack-a-doodle way that characters act. I was long quite biased against the entire form. However, over the last four or five years, I've been gradually giving it more of a chance. And I must say, I find there to be some of the most creative and interesting ideas to be found in it.

Lindon-Rivendell mentioned "Spirited Away," and really there's a bunch of Studio Ghibli films that are worth checking out, especially the ones by Miyazaki and Takahata. Incredibly beautiful and moving stories and imagery. Lots of good tv series, as well. Widely popular ones which I have enjoyed and might recommend:
"Neon Genesis" (giant mech-robot action) "Death Note" (dark mystery) "Attack on Titan" (dark fantasy horror) "Cowboy Bebop" (funny stylish sci fi adventure)

Ones which I have come across during my quest to explore anime and are still on my list to be watched:
"Lupin III" (roguish adventure comedy), "Mushishi" (fantasy adventure anthology), "The Promised Neverland" (dark fantasy), "Inuyashiki Last Hero" (sci fi superheroes), "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" (fantasy adventure comedy)

Obviously, this is only my limited experience. But as someone who had also never given it a chance and was a bit put off by the whole scene, they may be good places to start if you're interested.

It's alright. They've been here for like fifteen years, so I don't expect them to cte anytime soon. Probably just going through a period of inactivity, as everyone occasionally does, myself included.

As for the roleplay, the form which that specific roleplay took was extremely involved and time consuming on the part of Tatarica, so they wouldn't be able to start it anytime soon, anyway. At the very least, they'd need to go out and find a good number of folks who could reliably commit to the thing. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't be able to commit to it, presently. Another major figure from the previous iteration, Dwarven Mines, has cte.

But that's just the base preliminary for the roleplay. They were also creating and maintaining all of the dispatches, organizing the factions, running those factions which are NPCs, working out the map, calculating the stats for each battle, writing out narratives for each faction every session. It all looked like a massive amount of work, and I'm probably forgetting a bunch of other stuff.

So, I think it might be helpful if you slightly recalibrated your expectations for the timeline of the thing. Should everything in the heavens actually align and the thing takes off the ground, I don't think it could feasibly be a matter of weeks, but rather a matter of months. With that in mind, a couple weeks of inactivity isn't really anything to worry about.
