Same here. It definitely has something to do with Zombies taking over the network / host facilities!

Post self-deleted by Dispatch.

By the way, Y'all should take a quick look at the current leaderboard for "Most Survivors + No Infected". Ok, well, I did screenshot it - but it might change at any time. Middle Earth is NUMBER FRIGG'N ONE in the World! Woho!

Someone with Border Control banject KHATTAB

Heya,
Can someone with Border Control set a password for Lothlorien? We just spent an hour clearing it out, and were just getting ready to depart when some miscreant popped in and started attacking people w/ zombie hordes. Lothlorien is free of zombies at the moment, but it won't that way for long without the border being closed, unfortunately.

Wow, you are curing Lothlórien? :) I believe the region dozed in our hammocks through the zombies' appearance!

Everyone with a nation in the region right now can see the regional entry keycode in red above.

Yes, we did Lady Galadriel. It was a pleasure help fellow Elves. I'm off to head back to Middle Earth now, may the grace of the Valar be with you.

Happy holidays everyone. Have a very silly poll.

Happy Birthday, J.R.R. Tolkien!

Turkdulapitou

I'm back. Sorry it's been a while.

Welcome back, Narwen! Come and go and return when it pleases you. Lothlórien is an unhurried place.

...as for example described by Samwise Gamgee:

Sam sat tapping the hilt of his sword as if he were counting on his fingers, and looking up at the sky. 'It's very strange,' he murmured. 'The Moon's the same in the Shire and in Wilderland, or it ought to be. But either it's out of its running, or I'm all wrong in my reckoning. You'll remember, Mr. Frodo, the Moon was waning as we lay on the flet up in that tree: a week from the full, I reckon. And we'd been a week on the way last night, when up pops a New Moon as thin as a nail-paring, as if we had never stayed no time in the Elvish country.
Well, I can remember three nights there for certain, and I seem to remember several more, but I would take my oath it was never a whole month. Anyone would think that time did not count in there!'

Meanwhile, in terms of polls, I'm descending into temporary tookfoolery.
Terrible, terrible puns. Which is the worst?

The plurality of this post is OOC except for the tangential IC hyperlinks.

Yesterday I stumbled upon a post edited 82 days ago (today being 16 June 2021 CE, or 26 Gemini 11721 HE) from a frequent voter in the polls. It seemed like a courteous idea, and, having become attached to Aethelia's polls, I decided to return the favour. As it articulates, a poll by Aethelia that closed 86 days ago sought to thank recent or frequent voters in a bit goodwill and appreciation (of a cause, not a consequence) for the eligible all. Whilst has been a couple of months since this was relevant, I want to thank Aethelia for the nomination, and the other nominated nations and the votes of the electors for their existence on NS. I use "thank" to signify the related "think" and "thought" for the interest of "(re)cognition, attention". I especially want to thank Aethelia for their (I presume feminine pronouns, but I cautiously use the neuter out of prudent respect) contributions to the NS community by each poll they have created.

In honour of the lunar, stellar and nocturnal bard and witch of Aethelia, I present to you the the scene decoration (toile de fond) of the Sternenhalle ("star hall", similar to a Sternenmeer or "star sea" and a Sternenzelt or "star tilt") of Karl Friedrich Schinkel for the Königin der Nacht (in Die Zauberflöte or The Magic Flute composed by Mozart, with the dramatic and theatric lyrics of the Singspiel or the musical and textual opera by Johann Joseph "Emanuel" Schikaneder). It is famous for two verses of a strophic quatrain (iambic pentameter prior to an iambic trimeter quatrain, with the opera predominately and rhythmically iambic tetrameter) in an aria.

Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen,
Tod und Verzweiflung flammet um mich her!

Thank you for your acute commentary on important topics or the tea (apologises for being a camp queen). Irrespective of the tribal regions we join (ally, habit and reside) with, all nations are born in one of the five Pacifics. May you have vengeance upon your enemies! Ad astra or LinkAn die Sterne (as the poet LinkFriedrich Rückert wrote)!

idk im just Celeborn the prince of doriath i deny that by the latest version my name is teleporno the teleri because that name is NSFW

Probably both Celeborn and Galadriel will appear in this production, the latter played by Morfydd Clark.
Mostly still shrouded in mystery.

hmmmm po-ta-toes

So many great options in this poll!

I was leaning between option Simbelmyne and option Elanor and Niphredil, finally choosing the former

Hmm yes I considered both of these, but the sheer quantity of fuss over Pipeweed convinced me. Perhaps they're all just addicted to nicotine, or perhaps it has other qualities... either way I should like to find out.
