Also, let's imagine I want to increase the military: I can't, although I'm the head of State! I need to wait for a country to threaten me to increase it 0,2%!

France Europe wrote:Indeed. I think it is important to first set what you want as a government (I don't even know ho mine works) and then get issues according to how your government works.

You can pick an anarchy at the start and the game still gives you a government. A lot of things make no sense here.

Me too.

I think this game could improve a lot on the national scale. That's why people focus on their region and their RP, because they can't do a lot with their nation.

NS would never let you fine tune your stats :p
That being said I wish issues would have a greater effect on your nation.

The regional gameplay is the most fun part!

I agree, instead of all of these wacky things like z-day, they should just work on the main part of the game. (though I do want to try it out.)

Issues aren’t really the main part of the game...

What is the z-day?

Nouguinkelospianland wrote:Issues aren’t really the main part of the game...

Yes, but they are the only way to rule your nation.

I amy write issues for NationStates.

A zombie apocalypse hits everyone
It spreads inside regions
So regions compete to have the fewest zombies

You submit them. You would get a badge if your submission actually became part of the game.

And who can get zombies, and who are these zombies? It never happened to us I guess.

It only happens on October 31st

And is it hard to make your issues become part of the game?

Very. Have you ever drafted an issue in the forum?

Nouguinkelospianland wrote:Very. Have you ever drafted an issue in the forum?

No, never. But I will not draft it in the forum, though in the issues section.

They are a stat that you get for one day. Everything is reset after.

OK, thanks, but I kind of don't care about this stat if it doesn't count anymore the day after.

It’s a mini game.

Yes I started as an anarchy and it gave me a gov with military, police, welfare system, 4.5% tax rate and everything that comes with it like in every other system. After like 3 weeks I randomly got an issue to abolish the entire gov so I did it. Within a week after that I got an issue about gov centralization / decentralization. Only three options: make the gov more decentralized, centralized, something between. Back then I thought there is always one good option for every system so I picked decentralized. This issue alone established a new type of gov. Why did I get an issue asking me if I want to make my gov more decentralized or centralized if I have no gov? Past me didnt dismiss any issue. But since then I dismiss half of them just because they are unrealistic and have no way of happening in an anarchy.

Oh, me too! I dismiss any issues which could put me at risk at having my civil rights/political freedom/economy going downwards.

France Europe and Mobiusobia

I'm still waiting for the issue that gives me a Monarchy.

Had it once on one of my ALTs but botched the answer.

:-(

France Europe, Penguinium, and The state of hejaz

I am also waiting for another gov abolishment issue but the one I had before was probably the only one so no more chances to be a real anarchy. At least now I get to put all of my huge 3% tax rate into business subsidization to reach the highest economy level.
