Dogs are people too you know

I am more concerned about government officials who cant tell the difference between the worth and dignity of a dog, and that of a fellow human being. People who are so confused as to treat a dog like a human, doesn't instill confidence in me that they won't evidentially treat people like dogs.

My nephew sent me this link: It is fairly humourous in a sad sort of way.

Police officer shoots your dog for expressing discomfort with strangers trespassing on property: Always "self defense"

You shoot police officer's dog for scratching car during random narcotics sweep in local gas station parking lot: You are now slapped with a felony and potential 40 year prison sentence, and $30,000 dollars in fines, you cannot claim self defense.

The last gasp attempt of a fraud to save his career

Dr Tony Fauci is a fraudster; most people thought he would be a reasonable voice who could give good advice about on how to deal with a new virus. Instead he was nothing more than a bureaucrat who got addicted to the power and prestige his position during the COVID crises afforded him. It was never about the science to Fraudi it was all about himself. He should be relegated to the trash bin of history like all other fraudsters throughout time

I told a joke at the checkout to the clerk when paying at a local store. The clerk (a young-un) looked nervously and asked me, "Is it okay to laugh at that?" The one-liner: "I heard that six out of seven dwarfs are not Happy."

This sheds some pretty important light on the interworkings of the government. Incompetent people fail their way to the top

Miri islands wrote:This sheds some pretty important light on the interworkings of the government. Incompetent people fail their way to the top

Yes. The bigger the government the higher up there is to fail to the top.

Anyone can become incompetent when spending someone else's money, but it takes a real narcissist to fubar a basic societal contractual obligation to civic service on behalf of the citizenry in the sacred obligation to protect the citizen's rights and liberty.

And that’s another reason that small government is wiser

What is it going to take to get rid of the AFA? I do not understand why people in both parties want to shove the same sub-standard care of Veterans in the VA Hospitals on the entire nation. Power-mongers in both parties would rather let people strangle and die under bureaucrat inefficiency than let the free market raise care to the most optimal solution for everyone.

Decentralize, privatize, and uphold the law. Government isn't interested in doing any of these lately
