Is there an issue to abolish conscription? Also do championship points do anything?
There is an issue to do so, for example if you pick option 1 on issue #184 (“compulsory military service under attack”), it will get rid of the policy of compulsory military service.
Also, the championship points do not do anything aside from giving you a chance to be on the leaderboard if you have enough of them (as far as I know).
I don't understand how the issues affect your political freedoms and civil rights sometimes, I just allowed torture on some terrorists and outlawed breathing and somehow it just keeps rising.
The more I think about it the more I see you're right. Many issues such as science versus religion are isolated in the USA and cracking down on sects and cults can be seen as detrimental to religiousness in one sense of spirituality, but beneficial in another. My leader's seemingly random pursuit of WA badges, known as banners or achievements as I like to call them, nonwithstanding I would love my nation to be known for sprinkling holy water on state-of-the-art military equipment they sell.
Since I use nations other than Western states as inspiration for my nation(-state) I would try to appropinquate their lifestyle rather that one we're familiar with.
If anyone has any stories or anecdotes to tell about nations like Israel or Iran, past or present theocracies, telegram me.
Not quite sure how rare religious issues are, but regarding the distribution in general, it felt like there are a couple up to a dozen in about 100 issues.
