It's a little frustrating that we're wasting time with Trussendart and her allies' "The Office way" of doing politics, but it's funny every time they are refuted with simple but precise arguments. Just to confirm, Elizabeth Trussendart was born in 1977 and the Trussendart family was against independence and allied with Drussia at that time of the war, so besides her not having experienced the situation, Trussendart Foundation has no morals to complain.
- Valkyr Straindorf, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Dmiscry
With all respect comrade, people should be judged by their own actions, not the actions of their relatives. Of course, Elizabeth Trussendartīs own actions include almost dragging her country into an offensive war when she was Prime Minister. So any point about her being a peaceful leader who try to avoid war, is beyond ridiculous.

REVOLUTION IN LARDYLAND READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!
"The people throughout Lardyland have been plunged into bitter suffering and tribulations since the former lazy regime betrayed the fatherland, colluded with imperialists, and launched the counter-revolutionary war. Fortunately our officers movement, backed by our noble nations, has been fighting heroically and selflessly to defend the territorial sovereignty of our homeland, to protect the people's lives and property, to relieve the people of their sufferings, and to struggle for their rights, and it eventually took over from the lazy regime. Now, the People's War of Liberation has been basically won, and the majority of the people in the country have been liberated. On this foundation, the first session of the Lardish People's Political Consultative Conference, composed of delegates of all the democratic parties and the people's organization of Lardyland, the officers movement, the various idiots and mental disorders of the region, and the overseas Lardish diaspora and other patriotic elements, has been convened.
Representing the will of the whole region, [this session of the conference] has enacted the organic law of the magnificent regime that shall be known as the Riceist regime, elected

The Supreme Spammy Court took office today in the capital and unanimously made the following decisions:
To proclaim the establishment of the Supreme Spammy Court of Lardyland;
To adopt the Common Program of the Lardish People's Political Consultative Conference as the policy of the government;
To elect Bruhgundy from among the council members as toilet cleaner of the Supreme Spammy Court.
To appoint North Cromch as successor of the Government Administration Council of the Supreme Spammy Court and concurrently minister of Foreign Affairs,
Me, Nikocado as chairman of the Goon Army.
At the same time, the Supreme Spammy Courty decided to declare to the governments of all other countries that this government is the sole legal government representing all the people of the region. This government is willing to establish diplomatic relations with any foreign government that is willing to observe the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and mutual respect of territorial integrity and sovereignty."

Hello nations and users of Krillin, good afternoon.
It has been a while since I (the user of The Republic of Gustatopolis, The Holy Empire of Drussian, The Kingdom of Gestonia, The People's Republic of Dmiscry and The Protectorate of South Dmiscry) thought that the name Gustatopolis for my first Nationstates nation was not the best of names. Since you can't easily change names in NationStates, I've thought about the possibility of abandoning Gustatopolis and replacing it with a nation called Converniland, but I decided not to do that.
Now that I changed Gustatopolis to Lardyland and the nation, precisely because of its peculiar name, ended up becoming the least political of my nations, I decided to create a nation called Converniland that will take the place of Gustatopolis here in Krillin and in the roleplay it will take the place of Gustatopolis in the subregion (in Roleplay there was a plebiscite in Gustatopolis and the name "Converniland", which the nation had in the past, won the plebiscite, I will change the flag and elaborate the roleplay when I have more free time than now). I will still use Gustatopolis because I have affection for it, but this nation will take the place of Gustatopolis in Krillin and Gustatopolis will be in Lardyland.
Good morning, good afternoon or good evening Krillin leaders,
I believe you would find a response from the Gestonian government and myself regarding this announcement interesting and important, as it raises questions about the honor of our first head of state (as leader of the Gestonian Independence Movement (GIM), an army that fought the Royal Drussian Army in the Gestonian War of Independence) and our first prime minister in fully independent Gestonia. I just didn't provide this answer sooner because I had to decide how my mandate as PM would end after my defeat in my party's primaries for this year's legislative election and the voting schedule for adjustments to a previously approved law that serves as containment of stoppage movements politically biased towards academic left-wing extremism without a broad social basis, which when they occur cause various disorders such as interruption of public transport or school classes for example, at least here in Gestonia, perhaps in your countries the laws are tougher against this type of situation.
Firstly, the current Gestonia government believes that, if this recorded audio is authentic, this stance was somewhat hasty and arrogant. Perhaps other conversations related to this situation took place, but as neither of the two individuals are with us alive, this is difficult to know. What matters is that the current government of Gestonia has no disaffection for the founder of Modern Gestonia as a country Horacius Clarence. The entity has no connection with me, Kevin McCarphy, or with the Gestonia government, because as you leaders can see, the entity bears the surname of my predecessor (and God willing, successor). This is not a formal statement from the head of government, but rather a personal explanation of my point of view on a situation that does not involve broad diplomatic issues (as would be the case of tension with government authority in another country, for example), With this explanation I already debunk legal arguments for a possible request for a motion of no confidence against me by the leader of the Democratic Party in Congress Jaylynn Arden, not that I believe she would do such a thing, but it is, as they say, better safe than sorry.
- Kevin McCarphy, Prime Minister of Gestonia
-----------------------------------
* Strikes cannot last more than 30 days, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
* The number of days between the announcement of the strike and its end will be deducted from the striking workers' vacation time
* Workers against the strike may receive paid vacation during the strike period and will receive a Christmas bonus at the end of the strike year.
* If there is evidence that the strike happened because the counterparty being pressured by the strike did not negotiate, the strikers are allowed to ask for an additional 15 legal days of strike to pressure the counterparty to negotiate.
* If the counterparty was willing to negotiate to avoid the strike but the striking workers started the strike anyway, the legal period is reduced to 15 days.
* Workers in essential services for maintaining the functioning of society will be prohibited from going on strikes that last more than 5 consecutive days. And they will only be able to carry out one strike every two months. It is up to the judge in the location where the strike will take place to assess which services fit into this category or not.
* Persons deprived of liberty who have committed serious crimes are prohibited from going on strike other than a hunger strike. Those who committed minor crimes can refuse to work for 5 days. It is up to the judge in the prison location to decide which crimes fit into which categories.
And the adjustments that were being discussed this week but whose discussion was interrupted due to pressure from the opposition are:
* Amend the 1994 strike law from:
"Strikes are a protected constitutional right for employees of public and private companies. Therefore, as they are a constitutional right, they cannot be limited, except when they harm collective well-being for a considerable period of time."
for:
"Strikes are a protected constitutional right for employees of public and private companies. Therefore, as they are a constitutional right, they cannot be nullified, only limited, especially when they harm collective well-being for a considerable period of time. A strike can be considered illegal when used much more for political purposes than to demand improvements in working conditions, especially if it involves stoppages."
And the addition of the following clauses to the Goodlooking Law:
* Workers' remuneration is suspended during the strike period.
* Strikes in the public sector require approval from the judiciary to be initiated.
* If a civil service strike movement adopts "hostile rhetoric" and causes serious disruption to society, the local or national government is permitted to dismiss the strikers.
* If the movement merely adopts "hostile rhetoric", the striking movement will have to pay a fine after the end of the strike
* If the strike movement is not peaceful, the strike is immediately considered illegal and the strikers will have arrest orders issued by the judiciary. The union that carried out the strike will suffer financial punishment and will be banned from striking for 1 year or considered a criminal organization, depending on the movement's stance and its agenda.
* After the strike is announced in the mass media, a list of demands will have to be presented to the employer within a period of 24 hours. If this demand is not met, the strike will be considered illegal as it does not give the employer room to see what might be possible to avoid the strike.
* If the employer acts in a hostile manner against strikers who act respectfully, the employer will be obliged to meet half of the strike movement's demands after the maximum allowed period of 30 days.
-----
And I will put some roleplay:
Senator Alexandrina Ocasio Corteziba: Are you F kidding me?! How can a country that approves something like this call itself a democracy?
Goodlooking: You Marxists will no longer carry out terrorist political strikes to disrupt the lives of ordinary people! Stop crying and accept that this is what the people want!
And an audience of his employees celebrates.
Employee: Goodlooking 2024!
AOC: My God, the way we're running so fast into the abyss, all that's left is 2025 for Maxim III to be our Prime Minister.
Jaylynn Arden: And that is why Gestonians, to stop this direction towards the Ejorikenization of our politics, that I must be elected Prime Minister in this year's legislative election. For love and democracy to return in Gestonia, vote BLUE in 2024!
AOC: Are you going to continue proselytizing politics or actually act to put an end to this nonsense?
Goodlooking, next to a tube television showing scenes of protests with people vandalizing the streets: Yes, continue with that "love" talk, the Gestonian people will believe it. It's like they say, love hurts, and how it hurts...they say it causes boiling in people's hearts...we are seeing how this boiling also occurs in countries...it breaks windows, burns tires...police stations...indeed, we are seeing a lot of love pouring out in the streets here...I blush with so much love being publicly exposed like this. Moms, get the kids out of the living room. Since the so-called French revolution, we have seen this love in the air, a lot of love, really. Hate is square and dull, let's make love!
Arden: Wow, you're hilarious, Goodlooking. Prime Minister McCarphy.
McCarphy: Yes, Senator Arden?
Arden: Don't you think it would be better to postpone the discussion of this until next week, so that we have time to evaluate this project in the thematic committee?
McCarphy: There is no need, I remind you that the internal regulations on the need to evaluate projects in thematic commissions changed in 2002, on an initiative from the then Prime Minister's government base. Isn't that true, Kentucky?
Kentucky: What are you trying to insinuate? the rules for skipping thematic commissions were much stricter at the end of my administration than they are today!
Arden: This issue has needed to be evaluated by the Supreme Court for 22 years, and the current chief justice wants to evaluate this during his tenure on the court. Let us all remember that he is an elderly man and there are strong speculations about his health status. The chances of him evaluating it soon are very high and the legal piece asking for the annulment of the Kentucky government's rule was so well formulated that the population on both sides would be frustrated if it were rejected.
McCarphy: The Constitution establishes that legal rules are not retroactively validated to the prejudice of one of the parties to the judicial process, except when violent crimes are involved.
Arden: Yes...but the evaluation by the thematic committee would provide more legal certainty for this proposal.
Goodlooking: Prime Minister, for God's sake, she's trying to delay the discussion.
McCarphy: It's part of the game, Goodlooking, stop whining. And I will accept your proposal because...
Arden: Because besides all of us wanting to go home early, the majority of the working class is Christian and approving a heavy proposal like this on the eve of a day of Christian celebration seems like it will be bad for your reputation. How about we go home for the holiday with more energy to enjoy it with our loved ones, some senators are young parents of young children, McCarphy. What will Latores' son think of you if his father doesn't have the energy to play baseball with him because he stayed up until two in the morning discussing this project? That's mean, McCarphy.
McCarphy: Urgh...ok, okay. This project will be discussed by the Labor Committee next Monday. The session is closed.
And the senators begin to head towards the exit.
Arden: I did well, didn't I?
AOC: Not really...
Arden: Damn, how uncompromising you are, girl!
AOC: Uncompromising? Do you know who the president of this committee is?
Arden: No...
AOC: I imagined...
And the scene has a flashback to a session at the aforementioned committee.
"Goodlooking: Look, my friend, as much as I advocate that we abolish the taboo that the left has invented about children and guns, I don't think parents should let toddlers carry guns on Take Your Child to Work Day. Remember that incident in Charlesville? Very sad, my friend. I think it's an irresponsible idea, but you can vote there so we can send this to the plenary or file it in 15 minutes.
AOC: President, don't you think we should discuss more useful things like salary increases for basic education teachers?
Goodlooking: I base my schedule on what comes into my hands first. We will discuss this in three months.
AOC: It's difficult to get our demands into your hands quickly when people from the ultraconservative Christian lobby have privileged access to you 24 hours a day and we can only see you during office hours.
Goodlooking: I'm sorry, dear, but that's how I am: I give priority to older things. If I were PM, projects that have been stalled in congress for more than 15 years would have been put on the agenda a long time ago.
AOC: Like the one that releases pesticides that cause cancer?!
Goodlooking: The correct term is 'agricultural defensive products'."
AOC: To be fair, the Labor Committee is more productive than before.
Arden: Are you kidding me?
Goodlooking: You're going to pay for this, Arden, I'm going to disturb you in the foreign relations committee after I approve the project in my committee.
Arden: How did YOU become committee chair?
Goodlooking: Thanks to the lobbying of the House's ruralist caucus.
Gestonia's politics are becoming increasingly chaotic as the November 3rd legislative election approaches, I hope that after this tense election the country achieves a certain social peace and that the next prime minister will be successful in his government, be it absolute majority or coalition (which will probably be the case since the country now has 5 parties that are able to enlist relevant portions of the electorate). If I express my personal opinion about this PM and everything that is happening in Gestonia that I follow in the mainstream media and in the left-wing media, I would not be taking the stance of a head of state.
- Alexander Odibliano Corteza, President of Converniland (former Gustatopolis; OOC: I'll make a factbook about the name change plebiscite soon)
It's impressive how Kevin McCarphy holds on to his position by approving draconian laws like this Goodlooking Law after a national blackout (OOC: what I consider to have occurred in Gestonia at the time NationStates stopped working properly recently), a general strike that lasted less than that the strikers would like because of the blackout, a student movement against the genocide in Palestine that has not exploded yet because of the blackout (remembering that this PM is pro-Israel) and him having lost the primaries of his party to the ultra-neoliberal imperialist fascist Elizabeth Trussendart.
Now Trussendart puts into the electoral race a person worse than herself to deceive people (mainly young Drussians living in Gestonia or young Drussian-Gestonians, who are more right wing-minded than the average young Gestonian) that she is not a reactionary, but rather a respectful conservative who manages to stop the ultra-reactionary Templar John Texas Goodlooking, who is probably financed by Maxim III or someone of the same ilk. It is worrying how the forces of backwardness have come together to try to bring Gestonia under their control, if I know the history of the Trussendart family, and I do very well (and Elizabeth is one of the most megalomaniac figures in this family), perhaps this movement has ambitions to reach all of Krillin, so we need to act to contain it our subregion so that the proletarian movement and social democracy in our subregion can accumulate forces to eradicate it. (https://imgur.com/ZKAtplc)
- Valkyr Straindorf, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Dmiscry
In fact, our laws are tougher, Prime Minister. Strikes with this modus operandi are rarely approved, and when they are, they cannot exceed 15 working days. If this happens, the police are authorized to contain it with tough enforcement measures. (OOC: in other words, police violence)
The strikes that are usually accepted are Work-to-rule and picketing in private companies. Actions that generally last a maximum of a week and do not harm the lives of ordinary citizens as much, the natural thing would be to forcefully repress any type of strike and criminalize the procedure, but peasant revolts happened much more frequently at the time when we completely criminalized so-called strikes. Of course we should not believe in the eternal docility of the subjects and that they are all just people who understand reality and the moral rules related to situations like this, but being intransigent against the moderate rebels turned out to be a costly policy for the Drussian State and the predecessor of Her Majesty understands that this intransigence may have been a factor that helped cause mass civil support for the Republican Mutiny of 1789 and the Bolshevik Mutiny of 1917. (OOC: How the French Revolution and the Russian Revolution are treated in Drussian history books)
Valkyr, I don't know what you gain by insinuating that her majesty's predecessor was a puppet of a Gestonian prime minister. Looking at the historical relationship between Drussia and Gestonia, this makes little factual sense, fuels irredentists within Drussia who want YOUR country destroyed and consider the peace he made with you illegitimate and is based on a nearly 100 year old conspiracy theory that the Trussendart family wants to control Krillin, there is no evidence that this theory is real.
- Ludmilla Verusya, Head of the Imperial Office
OOC: This talk of primaries make me somewhat curious, about Gestoniaīs electoral system. IRL, primaries are used i the USA, after my understanding as a way to somewhat limit the impact of de facto two party system there. However, many IRL countries do not have primaries.
At least according to the NS stats, Gestonia does not have proportional representation. Is it thinkable, that Gestonian politics still is in an early formative stage, and that this is partly why the electoral system have not yet turned it more or less into a de facto two party state? Does Gestonia have a ranked voting system for its MPīs, or plurality voting (a.k.a. fist past the post)? Or is the NS stat simply incorrect about this?
Gestonia uses a bicameral legislature: House and Senate, as in the United States, with the difference being that it is a parliamentary regime where a party needs to reach the majority of senators to govern alone (being able to form coalitions with other parties if no one can). Each state, and there are 30 states, has two senators who serve four-year terms. Each state renews a senator every 2 years in regular legislative elections.
In the case of the voting system, the primaries are more of a symbolic choice by party voters to decide what will be the name of the party for which candidates for senator will vote in the election for prime minister. Gestonia's senate would be similar to the electoral college in the United States, the person votes for the senator after taking office to elect the prime minister. However, people end up voting for the senator already knowing who the party intends to elect as PM, so if a citizen votes for a senator from the Liberal-Democratic Party, they will be indirectly voting for Ronaldo Latores as PM.
I thought the rules for the election for senator to be something decided by the states, as happens in the USA. So, some states have a second round for senators if no candidate reaches 50% of the votes in the first round and others do not. I didn't detail the House much because it would have 500 parliamentarians, but the idea is that it is proportional to the population, unlike the senate in which all states have 2 senators each. I think 3 senators (as it works in my home country and in the USA) would be too many senators, 2 is enough.
Regarding bipartisanship, initially Gestonia was divided between Democrats and Republicans (as it is in the USA), but throughout the roleplays I ended up adding a right-wing dissent from the Republicans called the Conservative Party, Gestonia became a monarchy and so I had to change the name of the party. I made the Socialist Party have more strength due to internal differences in the Democratic Party and more recently I made two right-wing politicians Trussendart and Goodlooking become political opponents and the latter founded the Christian Order Party. Over time, I end up having ideas for how to advance my roleplays and use chance to decide the outcome of elections, until recently I used random number draws, but recently I decided to change to putting the names of candidates on a wheel of fortune (of course everything online).
I think your explanation of it being a political system in an early formation stage could be a realistic explanation for non-bipartisanship if Gestonia were a real world country.
Excuse me? You think I would fund a liberal democratic republican, who put forward a law which merely amended the outrageous "right to strike"?!? I would never do such a thing! The only politicians I would support, are true conservatives, which stand for the natural order: absolute monarchy, noble privilegies, and absolutely no accomondation for trade unions or labour strikes!
To use the term "ultra-reactionary" in such a reckless manner, about a liberal... that is low, even for coming from you!
-King Maxim III of Ejorike
Liberal democratic republican? me?! Your majesty, I think the information your majesty receives about me is misleading. I am as much a defender of the natural order as your majesty, the point is that I am trapped by the chains of political liberalism in order to survive in a system dominated by democratic liberalism...trust me that when I become prime minister I will gradually put the natural order on control of Gestonia.
- John Texas Goodlooking, Leader of the Christian Order Party (and the party's only senator today)
OOC: Trussendart is loving this and will use this message from Maxim III to take votes from Goodlooking, she just isn't sending a message confronting Goodlooking here herself because she doesn't hold a political position today.
Hmpfff... my apologies then... may I ask about your title, so that I can adress you properly, Senator Goodlooking?
You have to understand, though, putting forward a law that amend the legal right to strike, rather than to outright abolish it... to me, that seem like something a liberal would do.
It may have been particularily hasty of me, to throw out the word "republican", taken in regard that Gestonia formally is a monarchy. However, it is no secret that I do not have high thoughts of de facto republics, even those which keep monarchs as figureheads.
-King Maxim III of Ejorike
Today I do not have a noble title, so you can refer to me as "Your Excellency" or "Senator"
- John Texas Goodlooking
Very well, Senator Goodlooking. If you become Prime Minister of Gestonia, will you denounce "the Socialist Republic of Ejoland" as a rebel faction, and instead recognize all of Ejoland as Ejorikean territory?
-King Maxim III of Ejorike
Absolutely! And unlike Elizabeth Trussendart, who had four whole months to do this and didn't do it, I'm going to do it immediately, it's going to be the first thing I do. We are in difficult times, your majesty, Gestonia has to stop wasting time and make the right decisions quickly.
- John Texas Goodlooking, Leader of the Christian Order Party

.
.
And some time later
My God, I had to return to this forum before my triumphant return to the position of Prime Minister on January 9, 2025 to refute the ridiculous accusations made by a deceitful and lying scoundrel about me. Firstly, I may not have made official non-recognition during my four months in government, I didn't expect my first government to last so short, I underestimated the number of traitors around me, but I have already expressed my personal position on the Ejoland regime .
Your majesty, I am not a being chosen by God to lead his people like you, I am just a human being and therefore an imperfect person and permissive to make mistakes. Please know that if I return, this mistake will not be made again and I will denounce Ejoland immediately after taking office. And this citizen's candidacy for Prime Minister has only one use: to divide my votes and help the leftist Ejoland supporter Jaylynn Arden to be the next Prime Minister of Gestonia. If Goodlooking was an honest person, instead of trying to flatter you and put you against me, he would join forces with me for we to defeat the Woke left together.
*and then she analyzes her own message from when she was prime minister and comes to a conclusion*...
Come to think of it, I DENOUNCED Ejoland when I was prime minister, I just didn't break off relations immediately (which I'm going to do this time), so Goodlooking, you're just embarrassing yourself haha.
- Elizabeth Trussendart, former prime minister of Gestonia
It is regrettable that JTG (I suggest to the political class of Gestonia, especially those allied with me, to use an abbreviation instead of saying this citizen's full name every time) takes advantage of his position as a senator to flatter the King of Ejorike in an effort to get him to support his candidacy for Prime Minister and in the end Gestonia's last message is two lines from a personal discussion by two people who are not even members of the current government. This forum is to discuss state politics, regional issues and be a forum for diplomatic relations between the Krillin countries, not a saloon conversation in the wild west.
By the way, guys, what did you think of the name change and the new flag? Honestly, I think the flag of Gustatopolis is more beautiful, but it was the flag that the people of our nation chose to represent our country after the plebiscite on the name change.
- Alexander Odibliano Corteza, President of Converniland
But canīt you see? It is not just about the woke left. The woke left is a symptom of a much bigger problem: egalitarianism in general!
The natural order is under attack, pushed back globally by liberalism and even worse, socialism. The social order collapse, despicable sins are seen as normal, power and wealth alike is stolen from those who deserve it by ownership and birthright. This is all around most of the world. It is not just "the woke left", it is the entire political spectrum in many countries!
But I probably waste my time, trying to reason with you. At least if I am to judge by the general opinions you expressed when you were Prime Minister:
You are a "democratic person", and you "respect" the degenerates which celebrate "pride month"?!? And you aspire to be an ally of the natural order?
When did you ever take a single step to abolish democracy, when you were Prime Minister?
You like to talk about the festering of moral decay, the destruction of family values and the normalization of sinful and unnatural acts which I prefer not to mention here, but when did you even talk about banning any of this?
What I stand for is not to respect these degenerates. Under my rule, any expression of their degeneracy is illegal! As it should be!
You seem to be just another generic Gestonian "conservative", who really is a liberal. You are not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem!
Oh, spare me. If you knew your place, you would not had taken offense and spoken ill about the Empress Mother of Drussia, when you had failed to get your daughter married to the Emperor of Drussia.
Do I need to remind you?
You must have no sense of status differences, to make this error. So donīt come and tell me, that you have not been taken over by the egalitarian mind virus!
To conclude, you are a slimy democratic liberal, who try to flirt with conservatism when it suit your goals, without ever turning away from liberalism. And on a more personal note, I find you incredibly annoying. I will not in any way support your electoral efforts!
-King Maxim III of Ejorike
Senator Goodlooking, would you like to come and visit my Royal Court, at some time which fit your schedule, to discuss political visions?
-King Maxim III of Ejorike
Of course, your majesty! I feel honored that your grace is interested in holding a discussion with a simple person who does not have noble status like me! I will start organizing the trip to Ejorike and from Monday onwards during the next week I will meet with your royal court!
- John Texas Goodlooking, Leader of the Christian Order Party
June 1, 2024
With Maxim III's message from Ejorike questioning Elizabeth Trussendart's conservatism and showing appreciation for John Texas Goodlooking, the chances of Trussendart losing votes to Goodlooking increased considerably, even creating a real possibility of Goodlooking being elected the next Prime Minister. The messages were too recent to have immediate effects, but over the next few days or weeks the effects will be felt more intensely. The Trussendart family held an emergency meeting to deal with this situation and prevent Goodlooking from being the new leader of Gestonian conservatism.
Elizabeth Trussendart, desperate: With Nicolaus' help we will contain this situation, he has a good relationship with Maxim III! I am sure! he manages to put Maxim III in line...I mean...make his majesty better understand the reality of Gestonia.
Christopher Trussendart: Elizabeth, my niece, this wouldn't have happened if you hadn't acted haughtily towards the country bumpkin Goodlooking. It's impressive how such a stupid and mediocre person managed to become a senator, you shouldn't have let go of him, you should have kept him on your leash, even if to do so you had to get rid of that political corpse Kevin McCarphy and put him in the chair for a few months.
Elizabeth: I would still be prime minister if I hadn't accepted your idiotic ambition to overthrow the Power family as a royal dynasty with a violent coup d'état! I'm not prime minister today BECAUSE OF YOU!
Christophan: The plan was good, the execution was horrible.
Elizabeth: You should have accepted Dad's suggestion and eliminated that damn peasant Horacius Clarence and with the help of Ronald Reagan create a monarchical Gestonia with us in command allied with Drussia! Oh, dad! If you were alive today we would be one of the most powerful dynasties in Krillin!
Christophan: Reagan was against this plan, you idiot! he was a damn liberal Democrat! Like your weakling son!
Elliot Trussendart: Forget this nonsense and talk to Godrerick II to force this bastard to withdraw his candidacy! We should have overthrown the Power family as a royal dynasty in the 12th century to counter Drussia's annexation! Now we cannot have dynastic ambitions.
And they call Godrerick II:
Godrerick: Sigh...Trussendart, I'm tired of this political war. If Goodlooking is elected, I will abdicate the throne and pass it on to my absolutist grandson (although he won't admit it to me, but I know he is). He is a serious and mature person, like Nicolaus X, he will stop Goodlooking from transforming Gestonia into Gilead.
Father of the aforementioned grandson (who is unaware of Godrerick's intention): Goodlooking is too caricatured to want such a thing (remembering that Gilead is a representation of the progressive perspective of what a Christian nation would be), he just wants a strong monarchy in which the king is something other than a guy who spends all day smiling and waving in pompous parades that mean nothing. My son will save the honor of the Power family and contain the republicans in parliament! You should abdicate now, father, your time has passed, you are now a shell of what you were...
Godrerick: ENOUGH! Wait for the election results and we will discuss this issue.
And so Elizabeth Trussendart has a plan:
Elizabeth, ominously: ...the grandson of Maxim III...I will approach him as I approached Nicolaus...he will be the Ejorikean Nicolaus, the Tenth, saving Ejorike from decay. Maxim III's stance will lead Ejorike to be swallowed by socialism just like Ejoland... yes, we will control Ejorike...
Christopher: As far as we know, he's still a child, Elizabeth, you only started getting closer to Nicolaus in 2021 when Vladimir VII almost died from Covid and started to focus his energies on containing his cursed brother until he was killed...Maxim III is not idiotic and decadent like Vladimir VII, if he sees you wanting to make his grandson's head one of two things: either he'll make the child dislike you or he'll kill you. We have to make plan B.
Elizabeth: Color revolution...
Christophan: Yes...like Euromaidan...after we overthrow the irresponsible despot Maxim III, his daughter will be regent and then we will make his grandson's head so he can take the throne when he is 16, just like Nicolaus. But unlike Nicolaus, if he has a deviation, let's convince him that this deviation is just a nuisance that can be swept under the rug and kept under lock and key so that he doesn't end up abdicating because of this deviation in the future thanks to an ejorikean Amalya Lidoshka.
Elliot: Oh God...I'm going to focus on my campaign for senator, that's enough. *and he leaves the meeting*
Christopher: By the way, Elizabeth, I wanted to understand what Nicolaus X's deviation is?...he seems so perfect.
Elizabeth: Ask him, I won't tell you anything.
Christopher: Which of these five: drug user, mental disability, homosexuality, chronic laziness or hentai addiction?
Elizabeth: One of the three first...hentai addiction?...anyway, what we need to do immediately is stop Goodlooking from turning me into a third-way candidate!
Christophan: I believe that Gestonia's conservatives are not as crazy as him, he will only be able to convince some hillbillies like him. And if you convince them that voting for the Goodlooking Senator candidates is the same as giving an absolute majority to Jaylynn Arden, many of them will be scared and will continue to support you. Maybe we can leave some of his strong candidates unopposed by us in at most a half dozen states so that these simple people can believe that we are willing to unite to defeat the Woke left and the corrupt globalism that has made their lives worse. After all, we feudal lords are better leaders for these people than these damned bourgeois who like to exploit them to the last drop of blood in an uberized society with no attachment to God, Fatherland and Family.
Elizabeth: Am I going to speak like a leftist now?
Christophan: ELIZABETH, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO YOU WANT TO WIN THIS ELECTION OR NOT?!
What a peculiar coincidence, our former emperor Nicolaus X will be in Ejorike for sightseeing next week. Although it is strange that he announced this to us today, but Nicolaus is not one to act sneaky, he plans things in advance and he has visited Ejorike for tourism before and it is said that traveling for tourism to Ejorike is something that needs permission that many say is bureaucratic. Although Her Majesty is finding this stance of her brother strange...In case you didn't know, he is now studying at a conservative university in Europe called Imperial University of London at the suggestion of Her Grace.
- Ludmilla Verusya, Head of the Imperial Office
Nicolaus: Yes, I saw it. I had to go for a walk last night and take care of some things later, I just picked up my cell phone now. I am sorry for that.
Trussendart: You go without your cell phone for hours? how do you manage it?
Nicolaus: I actually had to finish some college work, Trussendart. I have to do it well to maybe publish it in an article in a magazine, this is good for the CV.
Trussendart: Nicolaus, in case you forgot, YOU WERE A F*CKING EMPEROR!
Nicolaus: I don't want to be remembered just for being a former emperor, I want people to recognize my abilities through my efforts to do so. I'm a university student now, I have to have a good university life. I don't want most people to think that I only get opportunities because of my past, I want to earn these opportunities.
Trussendart: Look here, you little idiot, stop wasting my time and come to Krillin and help me NOW!
Nicolaus: Trussendart, I know you're stressed, but I don't like you swearing at me when you're angry, it's because of this attitude that many say you're a phony. Maybe that's why Maxim III doesn't like you, because he thinks you're phony. Goodlooking is authentic at least.
Trussendart: "authentic" is my *ss! Come quickly or I'll bring you in by the ear!
Nicolaus: Don't you have anything more important to do, Mrs. Trussendart?
Trussendart: (thinking: Grrrr...I'm going to kill this kid...)...Nicolaus, I need you, we're close friends, remember? I helped you overcome several challenges in your life...I am a safe haven for you. THEN BE GRATEFUL!
Nicolaus: Yeah...you helped me a lot in difficult times, Trussendart.
Eric, college friend arriving in the room: Who are you talking to, Nicolaus? Let me guess, Trussendart.
Nicolaus, putting his hand on the phone: Herself.
Eric: Damn, she screams so loud that even off speaker you can hear her voice squeaking. I came to warn you something, Nicolaus.
Nicolaus: What?
Eric: The university saw that you managed to advance your activities and follow the course material well and that's why they decided to start your vacation together with the other students.
Nicolaus: That means...
Eric: Yeah, you're on vacation.
Trussendart: *clears throat irritably*
Nicolaus: Oh, sorry, Mrs. Trussendart.
Trussendart: Nicolaus, I'm on the verge of a rage, either you respect me and stop acting like a rebellious 15 year old against me as if I were your mother or I will destroy your life!
Nicolaus: Destroy how? revealing that I'm gay?
Trussendart: Thanks for the suggestion...maybe...maybe blackmailing you is the only way for you to stop being arrogant and do the right thing, not because you have to do it, but because you respect me as your friend, political ally and personal icon.
Nicolaus: My personal icon is Relena I.
Trussendart: I don't want any more answers, I want you in my mansion in Alabema in 5 hours! *and she ends the call*
Nicolaus: Good to know I'm on vacation, I'm going to Gestonia now.
Eric: You don't have to be submissive to this crazy woman.
Nicolaus: It's not submission, it's respect for everything she did for me. If it weren't for her, I would have been a mediocre emperor who would be remembered as a joke...maybe that's what I am...a 16 year old tw*nk who lost two wars in less than a year? What kind of manliness does that convey?
Eric: You didn't lose in Dmiscry, Nicolaus, if it weren't for the peace agreement, this war would still be going on today. Valkyr is strong, no one rational expected you to completely defeat her.
5 hours later, at the Trussendart mansion.
Elizabeth, more informal than usual (https://imgur.com/IExzv9a): You're late...and I didn't ask you to bring James and that worm with you.
James: We're on time, aren't we? Do you know how long a flight from London to Gestonia takes?
Elizabeth: I calculated the time well, you could have gotten here half an hour ago.
Eric: There is no direct flight to Montgonery, Alabema, we had to land in another state nearby and rent a car. And pick up James at his house.
Trussendart: Stupid airport, I'm going to buy it and expand it so it can accommodate flights to and from Europe.
Nicolaus: What won't you do for me...?
James: She only helps you out of self-interest, she doesn't like you.
Trussendart: James, don't talk nonsense, I love Nicolaus. Who doesn't, right? You know better than anyone how Nicolaus has a special charisma that makes everyone like him.
Nicolaus: I think I'm very overrated by everyone around me.
James: What did you do for Nicolaus that didn't end up benefiting you later?
Trussendart: I...brought his horse to Gestonia...paid for your house in the elegant neighborhood...put him at Trussendart University...I told his father that his brother wanted to kill him...I stopped the Steve Bannon-Elon Musk Communication System of trying to make an anarcho-capitalist color revolution against his statist Keynesian government...anyway, if it weren't for me and my generosity, Nicolaus would be treated as what he is: a vacillating, sad tw*nk.
Eric: What you do is Gaslighting, you are not Nicolaus's friend, you are a harm to him.
James: It's true, you only help Nicolaus so he feels indebted to you and does everything you say.
Trussendart, irritated: Why do people love to see me as evil? Do I have bad breath? do I have a mustache?
James: You're not bad, Trussendart, just a bit narcissistic.
Eric: A bit? This woman is the narcissus personified!
Nicolaus, irritaded: Stop treating me like a five year old child, I know how to deal with Trussendart!
Trussendart: "Deal with Trussendart"? I am not a rabid beast, I am a docile human being, Nicolaus. I'm just a little stressed. If I were a Trump or a Javier Milei, I would have punched you in the face!
James: Nicolaus, I understand your frustration, but we are not treating you like a child, we just want to help you.
Nicolaus: If you want to help me, let me handle this my way. Trussendart, I will help you, but I want autonomy to choose how to act.
Trussendart: Great. As long as the result is satisfactory. I want you to take advantage of the fact that Maxim III and Goodlooking like you and be on Goodlooking's journey to Ejorike's court. Show up there, listen to what they discuss and give the grandson of Maxim III, heir to the Ejorikean throne, this book here. *And she gives a copy of a book of hers called The Mindset of Someone Successful, but instead of her name, she gave the name of a male pseudonym*
James: Paul Marsh?...really?
Trussendart: It's the best I thought. If Maxim III finds out that the book was written by me, he will forbid the kid from reading it and I think the Ejorikean elite respects male writers more than female writers...I don't even know if women can read there...this it is the level of despotism we are dealing with.
Nicolaus: Maxim III manages Ejorike as HE sees fit, Trussendart. We are not "moral enlightened" who have the duty to "purify" other nations. In fact, Maxim III is a better Christian than us, I am a closeted gay and you are a person full of vanity and greed. Besides, he invited Goodlooking, not me, how do you expect me to be there?
Trussendart: Invite yourself, come on! Use your oratory to convince Maxim III to let you join the conversation! Maybe he misses talking to you.
Nicolaus: Or he finds me annoying. And even if that's not the case, inviting yourself to someone's house is rude, the host has to invite you of their own free will.
Trussendart: Wow, how you complicate everything...tell the press that you will be in Ejorike this week. So Maxim III will see this and say "hmmm...maybe I should invite Nicolaus too, he's a nice and smart guy".
Nicolaus: And what am I going to do in Ejorike?
Trussendart: Tourism, hellooo! Isn't it a nice place to visit? with good architecture, good cuisine and good wines?! For God's sake, how stupid you are!...sorry, Nicolaus, sorry...I'm not very patient lately.
James: Then maybe you should take a vacation. How about going to Ejorike yourself? I think he just won't help you electorally, he won't arrest you or anything like that, unless you do something against him.
Trussendart, in a cynical and disingenuous way (as she thinks about doing something against him): Ejorike doesn't give me confidence, you'll have to go alone.
Eric: This time what you say makes sense...I'm not going.
James: I am. To accompany Nicolaus.
Nicolaus: I don't know if that's a good idea, James. I'll be fine, don't worry, I don't intend to conspire against Maxim III, Ejorike and Drussia are historical allies. If I can't attend the meeting, I'll go sightseeing, as Trussendart suggested. Although I've done it before more than once.
James: Right.
Trussendart: At least give the book to the kid, even if you have to sneak into the palace to do so.
Nicolaus, a little uncomfortable with the hypothesis: Sigh, Right, Trussendart.
Pleasant to hear from you, your Excellency. I hope that everything is well with her Imperial Majesty, Empress Nicole II of Drussia.
The point about needing permission in order to travel to Ejorike, is not entirely true. At least, no permission is needed to enter. With millions of potentially untrustworthy commoners in my Kingdom, why would it bother me to let in a few more? Entering Ejorike is, in fact, entirely visa-free.
With that said, it is a completely different matter to leave Ejorike. I do not want too many of my subjects to leave, after all. The "permission" you have heard of, is probably the paperwork which allow the traveller to leave after his or her visit.
When you mention your former Emperor, though, I have to ask something.
As you no doubt know, he can still claim the dignity of being an Emperor, even if he no longer is the Emperor of Drussia. A monarch may abdicate, but the dignity of holding such a rank do not disappear. As you know, of course. However, he have since the abdication been called "former Emperor" at this forum. In his abdication speech, he even said that we can treat him as "any commoner". He did not call himself "Emperor Nicolaus", even if he could.
Is there some particular meaning, with his reluctance to claim this dignity? Would it be seen as unsuitable, to call him Emperor?
-King Maxim III of Ejorike
OOC: Yes, women can read in Ejorike. The literacy situation in Ejorike is comparable to that in Protestant Northern European countries in the beginning of the nineteenth century. There are no public schools, but basic reading skills are seen as important, in order to read the Bible. Thus, even most poor people learn to read, at least a little. Those who can afford it send their children to private schools, which vary a lot in quality and price class. It is not unheard of for poor children to work five days a week, partly in order to pay for one day a week in school. In the upper classes, both men and women usually read and write well, and can speak, read and write in foreign languages. However, upper class men learn dead languages more often than upper class women.
Gustatopolis and Drussian
Your majesty, honestly, this stance of Emperor Nicolaus X is strange to me too. The guidance I received was guidance from Her Majesty that she passed on to me along with a text written by Nicolaus X himself a few minutes before his abdication telling the Royal Press Office to treat him that way after he abdicated.
I worry about what young Nicolaus thinks about himself, for him to claim that we could treat him as "any commoner", but I'm just a state employee so I'm not going to delve into my personal ramblings without being asked. I just have to point out so as not to confuse your majesty, her majesty Relena I or other Krillin leaders that despite him currently residing abroad, a portion of the royal security is keeping an eye on him from a safe distance and her grace Nicole II is following the young man's life so that he continues to be the Nicolaus he always was. In fact, the recent stance of a former prime minister of Gestonia draws the attention of Her Majesty and also of the Empress Mother, Wilhelmina von Vagsh, who is on a spiritual retreat in her former fiefdom, the Duchy of Vagsh for a period that will soon end.

[Encrypted response:]
As you already know if you have followed this forum lately, I do not hold the former Prime Minister of Gestonia in high regard. Can it be the influence of her egalitarian ideas, which have urged your former monarch to try to toss his Imperial dignity aside? She has called herself a "democratic person", for crying out loud! Disrespected the Empress Mother of Drussia, too. You already know about that, obviously.
And apparently, he support the election campaign of the afformentioned former Prime Minister? I do not want to be intrusive, but is this something his family approve of?
I can try to talk to him, if your Empress - Empress Nicole II of Drussia - approve of it.
-King Maxim III of Ejorike
